Roger Smelser of C & C Smelser Plumbing was referred to me by a trusted friend. As a woman and very old, I seem to be an easy target for contractors. So referrals from caring and reliable friends are important.
Mr. Smelser responded quickly and came quickly because my water heater wasn't working or would stop working when my electricity would crash which was happening at least three times a week. Among other things, I thought I needed a new heater but Mr. Smelzer examined it, analyzed that the heater elements are good, and recommended that I get an electrician to change the relevant breaker in my electric panel box.
Mr. Smelser was so kind in his response that I asked him if he could do other plumbing work for me. Almost nothing worked in my house so I asked him to replace my leaking kitchen faucet, repair my leaking bathtub faucet, and install a garbage disposal with a sink top switch.
When he came as scheduled, he brought his two sons who are also plumbers in his family-owned business. Even when I wanted a soap dispenser installed as opposed to the sprayer which they recommended, they did consistently as I wished even though the soap dispenser appeared to be more difficult to install.
Everything they did for me was excellent and at a reasonable charge. And to boot, Mr. Smelser has a marvelous sense of humor and his sons were so remarkably polite.
In every respect from my first call through to completion of my requests, their recommendations, behavior throughout, and charges, Smelser Plumbing was superb. I am genuinely grateful.
