I was there just recently and had a single Burger with fries and shake. The patty was literally smashed cold to the point of being dry and unappealing, and the flavor just was not there. The fries were half-full in the cup and cold as ice, which made the meal even more disappointing. I should have known better ordering at 9:45 PM, but even then, the quality should never be this low. The worker refused to provide us with more napkins and was insanely stingy about it. The service was super slow. When the hours say that it opens at 11am, it better be open to start at 11am. The guy at the register took 15 minutes after 11am to count the register while a huge line formed. This is not acceptable. At least the food was good, but it was such a long wait. Also, expect to pay a premium for the food and drinks at this place because it is in the casino. There's seating at the back of the casino to "dine-in." It is definitely not my first choice for dining, but it is the cheaper out of all the other eats within the casino and it was supposed to be open at 11am which is an hour earlier than the other food places. read more

We got to Smash burger pretty late around 1930 (7:30pm) They close at 2200 (8pm), pretty early in my opinion but we got there just in time to order. Not much on the menu, it's not like other Smash Burger joints. Limited items here but you can add Avocado, mushrooms etc on your order for a fee. It's a bit pricey for the add ons. We ended up getting an order of smash fries, rosemary smash fries and three double classic burger (two with cheese and one without cheese). They were all freshly made, it was huge portion! I only ate half of mines. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. The staff working in the kitchen was very friendly, happy and made jokes while I was waiting for my food. Happy crew I love to see. They gave me so much condiments for my to go order. That's the service I like! I had ordered one time before at this location and it's always been fast and delicious. Very good food, fast service. Though of course it's in a casino so there might be a long line. Please be patient with the employeesthey are doing the best they can. Though always call out an employee who doesn't wash their hands. For instance; we were in line and another customer was saying hey excuse me tell him to wash his hands. He ( the cook ) was touching his hat and fixing his hair and was going to touch the food he was cooking. This is a bit of a weird review. This is for the Smashburger inside Harrah's in Funner (Valley Center). The food itself was fine. It's crazy overpriced (2 burgers, one shared order of tots, and 2 bottled soft drinks - the only option) was $40) for "fast" food that was very slow. Now, partially this is my fault. I'd never been out to this casino before and didn't know what to expect. It's a giant casino in the middle of basically nothing. Super weird driving up to it in the dark. You go down this twisty two lane road and all of a sudden there's a giant casino tower with all the neon all by itself. There's a 4 story parking garage as well as a huge ground level parking lot. I found out what I was in for when I had to circle multiple levels to find a parking space! Yes, this place was PACKED - admittedly it was the Saturday of Superbowl weekend, but I didn't anticipate the crowds. We were there to see a show at the theatre (Penn and Teller) - the theatre was a nice venue, I'd see another show there. However, show started at 8 and it's a drive to get there, so we figured we'd have dinner at the casino. Mistake. There are several restaurants there from very casual to Hell's Kitchen and they were absolutely packed. It was a 40 minute line just to get these burgers and getting a table to eat them at was a challenge with other people waiting for tables standing over you like hunting cats ready to pounce the second you take your last bite! There was only one cashier working for this very long line, which is why it was so slow. The food came out pretty quickly once you ordered but... wow, what a wait for fast food. The burger was fine, in fact, pretty decent for fast food. The smashtots were really good, would definitely order those again. I wanted a milkshake but they're $10 each (without alcohol) so I passed. I was staying at Harris's Rincon... I ate it Smashburger two different times... first time I asked for well-done hamburgers, no cheese, what did I get cheese and raw hamburgers and the guy was a total ass... second time I ordered two milkshakes chocolate the guy calls out my number. I go up there. Same guy is the first day and he says your shit's not ready yet. I'm working on it so come to find out my milkshakes were sitting there for 15 minutes while I waited again and when I got them, they were completely chocolate milk not milkshakes thanks a lot Smashburger. I took my son here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We walked all the way through the casino in order to find it . The casino had a small food court area so he ate there . We ordered quickly and the food was ready quickly, friendly staff ! My son ordered the classic burger with no cheese and a medium French fries. With out a doubt. THE very worst cheeseburger, we have ever eaten. The cheese was just like the free government cheese. The cheese was way to flavored like imitation cheese spread. The sautéed onions were very stringy. Every bite and there was strings of onion, that our teeth couldn't cut through and hanging on our chins. It was laughable. Visited smash burger today 02-10-23 at 1:00 pm with no one in line to order at Harrahs smash burger. We visited this venue many times in the past but due to COVID we haven't been back for a couple of years! So today we drove a hundred miles round trip to visit Harrahs and smashburger. What a dissatisfied meal we had. The price of two basic burgers and a bottled water came to $31.00. They hit me up for $4.50 for a small water bottle. I asked for just 2 cups for water and I was told I had to walk to the bar and get water, I guess the hand sink water isn't good enough!!! I also asked if the burgers could be cooked medium or just pink inside. The weren't, dry insipid Pattie's, with a cloying mustardy type sauce. We requested mayonnaise and I was given 6 little packets of Heinz Mayo. We did have a side of fries for $6.41 . All served to me in paper bags. No utensils and no condiments table. You people need a license to steal. This is the last time I will ever visit this venue again. The kiosk is next to Hells Kitchen, I guess Gordon Ramsey must have blessed this venue cause it's hell's kitchen prices. Stay away unless you want to pay over 14.00$ for a small burger! 1 star for a sympathetic order/ cashier taker who apologized for all! I was offered a chance to visit the smash burger in San Clemente and wow! What a splendid surprise. In these Covid times, there's nothing else there. You have to get napkins, utensils, condiments, etc. directly from the counter. We ordered a double cheese burger and the tater tots. How can you possibly pass on ordering tater tots? I know I can't. And, speaking of tater tots, they were great. But...I'd recommend laying them out on a couple of napkins to soak up some of the oil. They have regular and seasoned (garlic). I'd get either because I like tater tots. The burger was juicy and cooked correctly. Definitely filling and one I would order again. So the only reason we chose this instead of Earl of Sandwich was because we wanted to try something new. Too sad, we were not impressed. First off, the cashier was great and very nice. He took my order and even manually entered my Rewards number to get the points since I didn't have my card but had it on my app. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger since I've been craving one. I was really excited to have one too. Sadly, when I checked my bag after receiving it, I noticed that we were missing one burger. So I went back to the counter to let them know and the worker seemed to be in a bad mood. I overheard one of the other employees suggest that she walk around to cool off or to calm down and she responded by saying if she did that, she would just walk out and not come back. I'm sorry, you should not say that with a customer in front of you. When I brought it to the attention of the employees that I was missing a burger they checked my order to see what I was missing. They looked around for the burger I was missing and said that it must be the burger that was left on the counter where they prepare the burgers. So they gave me that one. We walked back to our room to eat and when I opened up the burger that they said was mine and sadly it was not. I paid extra for a bacon cheeseburger and I just got a regular burger, definitely not what I ordered. Too too it off, the burger must have been sitting there awhile because it was cold. I was too tired to complain, plus the number on the receipt went straight to the general number so I didn't want to bother anymore. This review is more about the service than the food. As excited as I was for Smashburger to replace Pinks, I hate to say the whole experience fell flat. First, only 1 cashier and 10 people in front of me, all moving very slow. I noticed one employee had an Earl Sandwich shirt on so the must share employees. We looked for a table while waiting for our order. I appreciate the fact everything is made fresh so I didn't mind waiting, however every open table was dirty and not a single person in site to clean them. After sitting down to eat, I noticed our order wasn't correct. Since there was a still a line and for length of time it took to get our first order, we didn't complain as we had to leave shortly after eating. The food was OK, but didn't wow either of us. A warning, if you get the Smashfries - they'll be pretty greasy thanks to being covered in Olive Oil. Not a bad thing per say, just a warning to get extra napkins. I do love the fact they have Tater Tots. Since can you use Total Rewards points, there's a good chance I'll be back at some point because the burger isn't half bad.
