Our food was super fresh, piping hot, and delicious. I had the Colorado smash burger (pictured) with single patty. The service was quick and very polite. Ambiance was nice - we went on a Saturday about 2:00 and the place was empty except for one other table. Not sure why this place has less than a 4-star average. We will definitely be back again. My daughter picked up smash burgers for us. We tried the avocado bacon green goddess burger. It was pretty good but they out way too much dressing I it making it a messy glib. The spicy burger was good. The other burger which was plainer also had way too much dressing. If there is a next time, I will ask than to put less dressing. read more

This is my first time to this Smashburger location. We love our usual Classic Smashburger burgers and the sweet potato French fries and our visit here did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean, including the restroom, and the workers were pleasant and took great care to deliver the food as ordered. The only thing different from what I'm used to was the lettuce on the burgers. They weren't whole lettuce leafs, but strips of lettuce. Absolutely not it. I was looking forward to a delicious burger & sweet potato fries, but was significantly underwhelmed by both the flavor, presentation, and service at Smashburger. The Classic Smashburger had really basic burger flavor, not awesome, but terrible, but would have tasted the same as picking up a burger from a fast food chain. I was excited to eat the sweet potato fries, which I was certain would redeem the mediocre burger, but unfortunately, they tasted less like sweet potatoes and more like old grease, and were dark/brown in color. The floor was full of debris, leaves, spilled drinks, and random french fries. Additionally, my burger order was not correct. We walk in the door, the boys sit down and as we are looking at the menu the gentleman walked around the counter and very rudely says just so you know we close in 8 minutes. I was shocked. One of my kids ordered Chicken Tenders and when we started eating at home she noticed her chicken looked a bit pink. Low and behold it was super pink and disgusting. Called three days in a row at multiple times during the day. Finally went in and ordered and called from the counter to see if they worked. They do. They just don't answer. I was the only person in the store and four people were standing around. Glad to see in the time of covid and people having to order by phone and such that this business is so busy they don't need online or phone orders. Ordered a Smashburger tonight with Smashfries. Let me start by saying that the very first experience I ever had with Smashburger, I was on-site. It was a relatively new concept back in 2011 and I was at their location off Highway 394 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. It was off the chain ya'll. It was so good. The burger was juicy, the fries were hot and that spice...wow. Just a great experience. Fast forward to today.... Full disclosure, I ordered from Door Dash, but this food came quick. Like...they didn't deliver another order first, there was no delay. Nothing like that. Time from the order to the delivery was 10 minutes, and that was from Prosper to McKinney. University is never that fast. So I know the issues aren't because of the Dasher. The burger was tasty. I'll give them that. But it was ridiculously small. The lettuce and tomato were anemic, and when I compare it to that first Smashburger experience, it just made me sad and nostalgic for the good ol' days. And get this...the fries were ice cold. So cold. You have to know that they were sitting for a while, because as I said, the food came quick. I get that Smashburger is a fast food spot, and we occasionally make allowances for that. But seriously...this was above and beyond bad. I know for a fact that if they cared about their food and their customers, they could do so much better. This was my first trip to Smashburger. The attractive brunette at the register took my order, a burger and a shake, but she never looked up and acted like she would rather be anywhere else but there. It took about 15 minutes to get my burger but no shake. New Smash Burger place in prosper. Overall great visit. Almost became a bad experience. Me and the family were towards the end and I got up to get a refill as I come back one of the employees that walk around cleaning up tables and asking customers if they are done with their tray so they can pick it up. So as I approached the table he asked my wife if we were done with this (my tray that still had about half my fries) I said no not yet as he still picked it up and I repeated no not yet. He st it back down and said ok. As I'm eating my fries about 5 min later I hear are you done with this, with his arm over my shoulder reaching for the tray and a few fries left on it . I just said yes I'm done and gave up. I have been in the customer service business for 19 years. And I had to be the customer with better customer service. Any ways what made my visit good was that the food was at our table within 5 min. Very impressive, and they were busy. That was good service. The other great experience was one of the worker's there not sure if he was a manager or owner. Asked me what football game I wanted to watch. That was cool.
