We simply asked for a combo and she responded back with so much attitude saying "there's no combo and i've been asked that all night" when she could've simply replied "I'm sorry but we don't offer combo." Even when getting our food and reminding that we also got a shake just in case out of courtesy, she responded with "i'm still making your shake" with a mean attitude instead of "it'll be out shorty." Clearly the message she's giving is she is dreading her job and doesn't want to work there. I get that it might not be a fun job but at the same time you still need to keep it professional. Ok so finally tried out a Smashburger, and it happened to be this one, located in the Harrah's Resort in Laughlin NV. Service was friendly and efficient, there was a bit of a wait for the food, but it wasn't excessive. The place looked clean and well maintained as well. The burger was hot and fresh and was a decent size, but not for the price of nearly $10.00. It was however quite tasty, and had plenty of veggies. Those damn Smashed Tots though, man they are greasy but in a good way as they are tossed in Olive Oil, Rosemary, and Garlic. These things are absolutely delicious! With all of the various 'super' burger joints popping up from just about every imaginable corner of the nation, Smashburger is just another ok burger joint. Filled the alcohol-induced need on the way up to the hotel room (used to be McDonald's) in Harrah's Casino Laughlin. We always seem to be in the same tower so the same hamburger stop was inevitable. You custom order your food at the front and can take it to go or eat it there. The smash-burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly. We got 3 fried chicken tenders and the smash sauce was excellent for dipping. The fries were shoestring potatoes and cooked to the right temperature. We will definitely be back! read more

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I am. Smashburger Harrahs gets a 2 star rating. Two stars, only out of respect for the franchise where I've enjoyed great meals before. I don't understand all the hype. The meat was salty and sometimes they forget to put the truffle Mayo on the mushroom burger. I asked them if they did lettuce wrap and they said yes. ACTUAL STAR RATING: 2.5 I think I finally understand the strategy of having a Smashburger at virtually every Caesar-owned (and other) hotels I go to. Even though the food is average at best, but generally subpar, many people order at this [and other] Smashburger stores out of sheer convenience. I guess if you're Smashburger selling high priced average to poor tasting food, it's a good marketing strategy. There's a constant turnover of customers in and out of the hotel. And because the stores are in-house and so much more convenient than getting in your car and driving to, let's say, In-N-Out Burger, they have a sizeable built-in clientele at times. I'm one of those built-in customers as well. I get sucked into the thought process of not wanting to get in the car, drive to a restaurant, get back into the car, drive back to the hotel, walk to the room, and finally get to eat what's now a cold meal. So I'm guilty of going to the in-house Smashburger and writing a negative review as I'm currently doing. But all is not lost. Since putting pen to paper (figuratively) is genuinely cathartic, just writing this helps me realize the added time taken to travel outside the hotel is worth it rather than pay double the price for a poor-tasting hamburger and fries. We ate here on our first night. The service was great and we had no issues. We were able to split a burger in which they cut in half and it was prepared very well. Each morning at about 6am i noticed staff shuttjng down and cleaning...however for most of the other times i noticed being open. They do accept comps and the staff wss friendly and not in a rush. Not much that I liked about my stay at Harrah's Laughlin but Smashburger was a pleasant surprise amongst many disappointing situations during our stay. Relatively inexpensive considering our surroundings - good food and friendly staff. Go for the tator tots - a bit salty for my taste but otherwise I highly recommend them.
