On yesterday evening I randomly decided to stop by the neighborhood Smash Burger for dinner. I was greeted with a warm welcome by the Assistant Manager (Anthony). I explained to Anthony I was a first time customer. He was very patient with me and explained various options on the menu. He was very articulate and personable. I never felt rushed to order. I was so impressed with the Anthony's customer service, I stated I would be back the next day to try a breakfast option. On today I stopped in to try a breakfast sandwich. I was astounded by level of professionalism and enthusiasm the owner (Lida) presented. She very present and in the moment. We had a great conversation. I even received a what appears to be a hand written note on behalf of the Smash Burger Destin Team thanking me for stopping by the restaurant and well wishes to return again. I can't recall the name of the chef on duty today but he was a very nice guy and also assisted in explaining the various options on the menu. I was so impressed with the service and food I partook in that I immediately called my sister after my visit to tell her about the tasty food and my experience with Lida and Anthony. This is by far the best burger I've ever eaten in my life besides what I make in my backyard. This is fresh beef and all the other ingredients seems super fresh as well. There is nothing premade and sitting in a wrapper. It's all hot off the grill right into your hands. Try the brisket smoked cheddar burger, the Colorado burger, or just a simple classic and you will not be disappointed. It saddens me to read all the sour yelp people which have expectations that are probably unreasonable and unfair. It's similar to the Dunkin donut crowd that I read about on yelp and they trash local businesses for some reason as well as McDonald's but when I've been there those two places are phenomenal as is this one. So, see for yourself. Any of these businesses that work hard locally which get trashed by tourists, are getting super unfair and overly biased criticism. Those who want McDonald's or checkers quality burgers and prices just need to seek out what suits them. If you're not ready for fresh and high-end ingredients for $12, this isn't the place for you but you don't need to be so negative when you don't appreciate quality and your wallet is on a value meal budget. read more

I've been to other SB locations, so I know I love the food there. I took my family, who had never tried it before, and they all loved their meals. My salad was HUGE, and of course the food was excellent. Their sweet potato fries are my favorite. But what stood out to us was the customer service. Lida (not sure on the spelling) was exceptionally friendly, and provided great service for our family! Even if the food were mediocre (which it's not- we loved it!) we'd still be back, because you just don't get that kind of service these days! Service? I'm pretty sure this place thinks it's a myth we ordered food an hour and a half ago and it kept getting delayed so we started calling them and no answer so we called the driver and no answer then we just received an email saying they just went ahead and canceled the order they don't even deserve to be employed on Legendary Drive the only thing Legendary about this place is the let down it left me and my family who just drove from out of state for a good fun vacation just wanting a good burger and our dreams were crapped on thanks again for NOTHING. read more

We went there for the first time yesterday. We received such great service I was compelled to write this review. We met the new owner who was delightful. The friendly fast service we received is way above the norm for this area for fast casual dining. Our burgers and fries came out quickly and tasted good. I saw that some people are complaining about high prices, but clearly they don't frequent the Destin area because high food prices are the norm. Which is not to say that the prices here are really high, just normal for the area. read more

I didn't want to go but my wife insisted. I thought it would just be another boring greasy burger. Boy was I wrong!!!! It was AWESOME!!!!! Best burger by far! We are on vacation here in Destin Fl. I will definitely eat here again before I go back home. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean and organized. Met the owner. She was onsite and checked on every customer. Went to try it out for the first time on a Saturday at 1pm. Two of the five menu boards were unlit and the paper menu did not have prices. So you would need to go through the line and not know how much things cost. We waited 25min in line and moved up about 5 spots. We decided to try and use the app and order to go instead. The app had the prices which was nice but 15 min after that we had no confirmation email and the staff said they had not received our order. Overall they seemed very understaffed. read more

Wow. I'm not a burger person (I cook it the way Iike it at home) and had to come in here because my kids wanted a burger. To save myself from having to order anywhere else, I ordered here as well and have been hoooked since then. I customized my burger and ordered blue cheese in it and I feel heavenly every time I eat this burger. Two employees came and checked on me while eating to ask me how I like the food... Burger heaven, the smash technique makes all the difference. Good location in Destin Commons. I built my own withe the egg bun, Chipotle mayo, blue cheese and bacon. My only regret is not ordering another one. I had a question about the charges on my recipt and the staff was very helpful. Will be back for more. I read the reviews and even with all the recent detractors wanted to give it a try. This is overwhelmingly the most flavorful burger I've had. We don't have one where I live but while visiting here in Destin, I have eaten this every day this week. Try the spicy Baja burger with guacamole and smash tots. Also tried the new Colorado burger with cheddar. read more

Super tasty burgers. Smash tots are divine. Strawberry milkshake is best drink choice for a great movie night out in Destin Commons. Going back Friday to see Black Panther 2 and try the brisket burger. read more
