The food is good. The cooking skills lacked efficiency and teamwork. I placed an online order at 5:45 p.m. and said I would be there by 6:30 for pickup. When I arrived (according to the app), my food was ready at 6:30 p.m., but it really wasn't. We were waiting for my Smash Tots. So I waited, waited, and waited; it took 29 minutes to make 12 smash tots. I'm not the type to make a scene, so I aired my disappointment and left. Imagine placing an order online at 5:45 and waiting until 6:49. There has to be a better way. read more

Hey, hey! For this review, we found ourselves in Columbia, South Carolina. My sister and I were out running errands and decided to grab some lunch. She told me about a burger spot she likes to visit whenever she's in Columbia--one I had never heard of before. And you already know I'm always down for a good burger. When we got there, there were so many options to choose from. She suggested I try the Brussels sprouts. Now don't get me wrong--I love Brussels sprouts--but I had to pause for a second and ask myself if I really wanted Brussels sprouts from a burger spot. I wasn't sure how they'd be... but hey, I'm always willing to try something new. Of course, you know I had to order fries too. I ended up ordering a double burger--I can't remember the exact name, but it came with two patties. I love burgers, but I usually skip tomatoes and onions and keep everything else on. Let me tell you--the food was delicious. Normally, we'd wait until we got home to eat, but not this time. We had more errands to run, so we ate while the food was still hot. The burger was well-cooked, flavorful, and not overly salty. The fries were good, but let me tell you about those Brussels sprouts--they were amazing. They came with a ranch-style dressing and were absolutely on point. I had to order another side because they were that good. Yes, they're a little greasy, but totally worth it. I've added a few photos below. I would highly recommend this place--and don't second-guess the Brussels sprouts. Trust me, they're good.! read more

Here for lunch Saturday. Had mushroom Swiss Smashburger and the rosemary truffle fries. Food excellent but wasn't impressed with the hostess/waitress. Very slow. Nobody was around when we entered. Took several minutes before cashier came out. Our food was up and set on the counter about five minutes before she brought it out to us. Have much better service at the site over near Whole Foods. This is closer to us and always seems to be the same way. read more

Fast and great service. Food was hot and accurate. The tables could have used a cleaning in the lobby but besides that everything was on point. Would definitely grab to go order if in the area. read more

Horrible place!! Cold food and horrible customer service. I've been here twice...my first and last time. The only reason it got 1 star, is because I had to give something. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

Once again, no hair nets! Who runs this? Ain't that hard! Fifteen dollars for a burger, no hair nets!

If you want to know what disappointment tastes like, stop in for a hot dog and sweet potato fries! The photos reflect the truth. The fries were burnt. BURNT. The bun was burnt on one side and so soaked in butter it made the bun completely soggy. If I wanted bad food I would have stayed at home and cooked for myself. Most definitely will not be back. read more

Eight of our ROMEO lunch group were here Tuesday. I've been to this site about three times since it opened but none of our other guys had been. Ever since I had the Mushroom Truffle Smashburger I won't order anything else. Since we've been evaluating burger places lately and our group had never visited her I figured we should give it a try. I recommended the Truffle Mushroom Burger and also getting the Smash Fries over the regular fries. Four of out group had this and every single one thought it was great. One made the comment that this was the best burger he's had. One of us ordered a double Smashburger of some kind and he pretty much had the kitchen sink on it (bacon, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, and maybe cheese). He rated his burger as a 3.0. The other three guys that ordered the basic smash burger rated them higher, but had comments such as it's as good as Top Dawg, etc....but really didn't say too much. They also didn't order the Smash Fries. The restaurant was very clean, floors must've just been mopped. In fact the floors were so slipper my chair almost flew out from under me when I pushed it back. One comment was that the music was too loud. Service was timely. Bottom line is our overall rating was 4.2 read more

Definitely one of the better burgers to enjoy out of Columbia. Patties are thin and freshly cooked. Perfect balance of good burgers followed by fair pricing. Their menu is fairly diverse with limited edition specials available. They have classic burgers to chicken, side options, kids menu, and milk shakes to choose from. As a first timer, the manager helped me with recommendations. Super nice guy and definitely one of the most helpful managers I've got to interact with at a fast food establishment. I ended up trying out the Jalapeño BBQ bacon Stack smash burger and their classic burger. I got a side of classic fries (they are very thin) and despite wanting to try out their strawberry milkshake, sadly it was sold out. Order turn around time was pretty quick, I waited less than 10 minutes and I was on my way back home. Overall, food was great, customer service matched the food quality. Definitely will be back soon and will be frequently dining here. Never tried it? Highly recommend! read more

Staff were friendly and the food was great!!!! Such a well seasoned burger!!! I was honestly shocked and had to thumbs up the cook! So happy we came b/c my aunt had never been and wanted to try it out. It was really clean inside as well. read more

Today I was so excited to try Smash Burger for the first time. What a complete disappointment my boyfriend suggested .I requested a large fry however the amount of fries in the large box was filled up to only 50% of the box . My classic smash burger was very sloppy. The wrapping of the sandwich looked as if it was just thrown in the paper, and not professionally wrapped like other fast food restaurants. Smash Burger don't have to worry about me returning ever . The worst burger meal and customer service ever. read more

This definitely is not real food it costs $14 for a double supposedly Angus beef burger and fries my stomach swell up like I was 5 months pregnant first of all Angus beef is a nice hamburger no gone that you can't chew properly and swallow so I just spit it out cuz if I can't chew it then I can't digest it right then I've noticed their fries are always hard so I took the liberty of biting into one and like squishing and open and I don't know what that sucks thing is inside of that french fry so they will not be getting my 14 plus dollars for a hamburger and french fries anymore this is the one on Sunset but it's fake food y'all all I have to do is listen to my body if my stomach swells and I'm not full and I haven't eaten even half of the hamburger something seriously is wrong they need to be investigated to see if their meat is 100% Angus like they advertise but I don't see it being that read more

I love smashburger and try to come when I'm in town since the one in Atlanta closed down. The salted caramel shake is the best! I hate they stopped giving the cup they mixed it in bc that was like another half cup of a shake lol but I'm sure with covid they don't want people with their mixing cups anymore. I usually order the bacon brisket burger with smash fries and it's worth it every single time. It's a hearty filling burger and the fries tossed in Rosemary and garlic is chefs kiss. The wait can be a bit long but everything is made to order so if you want fast food go to a fast food joint. Don't forget to download their app as you can earn points for free food and you also get a free birthday reward! The service is always great and the manager will walk around to greet you and check on you read more

The Food was great. It took a little longer because there was a skeleton crew, but it was worth the wait.

I had my first Smashburger experience, having the turkey burger. The burger was great, but was a little salty tasting. The sides and shakes were very good. I would definitely eat here again as I am told by others the salty taste is not normal. read more

I just went to Smashburger again and the food was great. I did a carryout through the drive through and when I got home the food was hot (3 miles) and good. Best burger out of fast foods I have had in a long time. I will definitely be back. Don't like being asked to tip though when I go through a drive through window. read more

There used to be an older man that worked there, took your order and served your food with a smile, always friendly. However now there is an older woman that has taken over who seems to always have a bad attitude. As soon as we walked in during the last visit she didn't greet us but with a scowl said "LUNCH SPECIAL OVER!". Despite her attitude we sat down but the food served was bad... real bad. No meat in the japchae, she snatched my daughter's food bc we said it was made too spicy. Granted these are daily dishes we always get when we eat there, so we know how they are supposed to taste, these are dishes not normally spicy. When we let her know the food was made too spicy this time around she yelled "WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR MIND?!!" And stormed off. We took probably a bite or two of our food and could not finish bc of the taste. We were not rude at all to deserve that treatment. I am disappointed that my daughter could not enjoy her first visit to what used to be our favorite restaurant. Service and taste has gone down since. I believe this all could have been resolved if she would have taken the time to taste the food instead of immediately going off. I don't know why were met with such hostility, however I do know we will never go back. read more

I would lie if I said that I wasn't impressed with their store. It was very nice and felt like a hangout spot more than anything else. The food is very VERY costly. But I can't lie and say that it wasn't worth the cost. Unfortunately for me, the day I went I received below average customer service with CSR's taking my order, not assisting when I asked for ideas as a first time customer, and more. If there is one thing that can kill a restaurant experience regardless of fast food or traditional, it's poor customer service. Overall the food was delicious and the setup was cool. I just wished that food quality didn't make workers feel that they could reduce service quality. I'd go back SMASH but I think I'd drive an extra few miles to another one or a SMASH alternative. Thanks and enjoy your day by choice! -Fitz read more

I went through the drive-thru and was asked to pull forward into the parking lot and someone will bring it out. There was no one behind me in the drive-thru line. It was 7 minutes before she brought it out to me. The Avocado Club Burger I ordered did not have any avocado and it was cold. read more

I got the Double Carolina BBQ Burnt End specialty Burger.Super Moist and adequate Carolina Gold sauce. Will was Awesome.

This was my second time visiting this establishment and I want to say that I think I'm in love. I like the fact that you can choose from beef, turkey, and chicken for your burgers. I think more places should do this as more people are leaving the pork and beef community (something someone told me), lol! So this go round I got the smash fries and I opted for the Rosemary garlic oil and oh m gee, they were deelish! I like the vibe of this place. read more

Provided great customer service even in the face of system challenges! And the food was amazing, I would definitely come back here.

Amazing customer service 10/10 will definitely be back again. The atmosphere was great and I was greeted at the door.

The staff were nice and the fries are fantastic!! Everything was clean and organized. I wish there was still one in Lexington!!

These burgers are similar to Burger King burgers to me, just with a little more frills. I got the BLT burger which comes with bacon, lettuce and avocado. It was kind of greasy but still tasty. Decent serving size. The fries are good. Shoestring but a little thicker. For two people to eat, it was 19$. I got water, and we also shared fries. Kind of pricey to me. The restaurant was basically empty and we waited about 5-10 min for our food. I think the burgers are made to order. I probably wouldn't go back on my own, but if a group of people decided they wanted to eat there I wouldn't make a big deal about it. read more

Worst service, went in the ladies in front of me had been already waiting 30 minutes. Dudes working completely ignored everyone in line. Everyone in the restaurant had no food and an angry face on. The manager with dreads did nothing to help the situation. 20 minutes into standing there nobody talked to us at the desk, we left. read more

The food here is really good and I've never had a bad experience with it so far. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the wait of the drive thru line. I waited in line for 35 minutes and there's no way to get out of line once you're in it. Every other time I've been here it's been at least a 25 minute wait. If you're in a rush, do not go here. read more

Overpriced. Very salty. Bacon burger single was okay. Bun was nice and soft. But the meat was thin and salty for $6. Fries could've been cooked longer, too salty, barely warm. Onion strings were good just salty. I don't think the price was worth the food. Very polite staff though. read more

The service here was breathtakingly incompetent. It literally took ten minutes for the cashier to enter our order. After numerous corrections, the order was finally entered. My wife's Cobb Salad came out with no cheese and no dressing. She sent it back and the staff argued that "toppings on a Cobb Salad cost extra." I mean, just unbelievable. I subbed tots for fries and paid $3.19 for maybe 15 tots. My burger was good, but this place is very poorly run. read more

Considering the wait time and quality of food, you're better off going 2 minutes up the street to Five Guys or Red Robin. I appreciate the kind customer service but it'll take more than a few smiles and kind gestures to rank higher than 2 stars. I met up with a friend of mine and my mom to have lunch. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before we were greeted and helped. The workers saw us come in but no one was at the counter. The place was empty aside from 2 patrons seated and waiting on their orders. We ordered two mushroom burger combos and an avocado club black bean burger. They food tasted amazing! Just as expected. My friend I met there noticed the length of the nails on the girl taking our order while we were eating. They were waaaay too long, but luckily she was at the counter and not in the back making our food. My food came with no avocado. So I asked to just bring me avocado and I incorporated it into my burger myself. (The avocado was why I decided t come eat here). We were served as to go orders. Assuming covid protocol. The signage posted stated the workers would make our drinks but we were handed cups and fixed our own drinks. This location has a drive thru. As we were leaving. My mom and friend noted the guy the window servicing those orders has on sandals instead of closed toe shoes. So I think I'll take a better look at the hygiene and safety of the staff the next time I decide to check out this place. read more

I love Smashburger; they have incredible food. I used to go once every few weeks. However, you shouldn't go to Smashburger if you're in a rush. Whether there's one car or six in line, the drive thru will take at least 30 minutes. The service is off and on. Usually, I wait about 30 minutes, only to get to the window and deal with a sassy worker. read more
