Wait a minute! I have passed this place so many times going to the plaza, but never stopped. After seeing the reviews I thought why not give it a try and it did not disappoint. I ordered the truffle mushroom burger which was very garlicky but still really tasty and the smash fries. The fries were superb. The service was also great as the cashier confirmed I was making a good selection as a first timer. I also ran next door to grab something from the grocery store and my order was up before I returned but they held it in a small warmer so it wasn't cold once I returned. The COLORADO BURGER was a good even if it is kind of messy. No picture because it is not the prettiest presentation. The lettuce is cut in ribbons which is great for a salad but weird for a burger and it and falls out of the bun constantly. Speaking of the bun, the Colorado burger comes with a spicy chipotle bun. It tasted like a regular bun. The SMASH TOTS® are delicious with the rosemary flavor. My only complaint is they are overpriced (over $3.00) for a very small amount of tots (see picture). read more

I have not been here since they opened and it was a Yelp event. Gosh every time I drive by I want to stop. So today I did. I remember we tried everything on the menu at the event and it was delicious. Well today it was exactly the same deliciousness I remember years ago. Today I ordered the single bacon smash with a side of fried. Good grief they have great burgers. It was exactly what I wanted and fixed my cravings. I really forgot how amazing the fries are. The corporate office or customer service reached out to me then gave me a Complimentary Gift Card to try eating with them again and so today I tried to do just that. I was like well it was given to me blah, blah, blah and explained it all at least tried and he was still like it can't be used here. He was making me forward him the email, then find other emails so he could see an email address and I was trying to do that and he got more annoyed with me. Basically, it ended with me telling him to take the gift card and find a new home for it and stating I would never go there again and I won't. He did not try to help he was upset from the get go and none of this was my fault it was and is his restaurant. I have been a chef and in the food industry for over 20+ years and did not deserve to be treated this way and he should train his staff how to cook!! I rarely post on Yelp, but I was pleasantly surprised by my lunch yesterday. I told my assistant, who accompanied me, that I wanted a good hamburger. I rarely have red meat - maybe once a month - so when I crave it, I CRAVE it. I am selective in my tastes, such that if I have a steak or hamburger, I want it as rare as they will provide it. When I asked the friendly cashier (name starts with an L - professional and accommodating) if the hamburger could be cooked to preference, she said yes, and made sure after we ordered to tell the cook, 'as rare as possible'. I ordered a Swiss Mushroom Double Burger. It came out perfect! Compared to my assistant's hamburger, mine was rare and the fries were a great compliment. Add to the fact they have one of those soft drink dispensers where you can get 100+ flavors, and I honestly had the best meal I have had for sometime. I believe that she is bloody well right old chap. We all had the classic double burger smash burger and it was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the delicious Brussel sprouts and tater tots with onion rings. Simply smashing old chaps. The food: bun was tough, burger was OK, bacon was not cook thoroughly, too much mayonnaise, roma tomotoes instead of slicing tomato (which does not work well on a burger) besides that, they were not ripe. Sweet potato fries were soggy Service: this restaurant set a record for poor customer service, it took a long time to get order, because they didn't restock their were no onion rings. Someone came from the store with rings but the kitchen manager (or whomever was telling the cooks what to cook couldn't be bothered to get them in the hot grease (even though people were ordering them). Now I wish we had gone somewhere else for the burgers that keeps their food properly stocked. It's Saturday night and they're located in a busy shopping center so this is a classic fail! I just knew I was going to enjoy this place, but honestly every single thing I ordered was a huge miss. I got the 5 piece chicken tender, regular fry, and Oreo milkshake. The tenders tasted so salty and bland at the same time, I could only eat one. The milkshake was literally just sweetened milk, I was so disappointed I paid $5 for that. The best part of the meal were the fries and those were truly subpar. I'm still taken aback I waited 30+ minutes for this kind of food. I've been in and around the Cotswold shopping center a lot recently and I figured it was time to give this place a shot. Walking in immediately gives you that fast casual vibe. Lots of seating, check out counter off to the left, drink machines and napkins and such in the back. No line when I got there (just after lunch rush) so I went ahead and ordered a double hamburger with fries and a drink. Go over to grab my drink and see they have those wonderful Coke Freestyle machines. More options to choose from is always a plus in my opinion. Go to find a seat and wait on my order and I come to my only real problem with this place. The tables were not great. Crumbs everywhere, both on the tables and the seats, some with random liquid spots plopped about. I found one of the less crumby ones and made due with some napkins but its not exactly what you want to see when you're about to eat. The food itself helped make up for my issues though. When it arrived it was piping hot. Oil still shimmering on the surface of the fries because were that fresh out of the fryer hot. Unfortunately my fries were unsalted but they have salt on the table so I suppose its not that big an issue. Flavor was there though. Not sure what oil they use but they managed to produce almost perfectly crisp little potato sticks. Burger itself was very good. Bun was soft, patties were flavorful, meat wasn't overcooked. They actually season the beef it seems. I had visited a similarly styled competitor not too long ago and their burger just didn't seem to match up to the flavor here. I notice a lot of other peoples reviews mention problems with overly greasy food, and while a burger is always going to have a little bit of grease I didn't have those issues. I think if the management of this store had a bit of a refresher course with their staff about keeping the dining room clean this place could really shine. Whoever is running the kitchen in the back knows how to make a delicious burger and sometimes that is just what you need. There is room for improvement, but overall not a bad place to grab a bite. read more

Smashburger was a nice little surprise. Having never been before I decided to order the classic smash cheeseburger with extra pickles and a side of fries. Once we placed our orders, filled our drinks, and sat down our burgers were delivered. They looked great and I was ready to dig in.
