This smash burger is ok . The service is pretty quick the only thing I've notice lately is there burgers are really salty .

Came here last month while getting my burger fix with just moving uptown. I like this Smashburger being that its not too far from the new home and that they broadcast their deals via social media. Got a bacon double and another one for free which is of course free is always a good thing. Got a milkshake along with it. Decent prices and not too long of a wait for my order. Of course will come here again when I need something quick and do not feel like cooking. read more

I'm always greeted with kind service and leave feeling satisfied at this Smashburger location. The burgers are pricier than other fast food dining options around, but they leave you feeling not too greasy. Their Brussel sprouts, which I tried for the first time, were tasty and a good alternative to fries (although next time I'll stick with fries). Good burgers and kind staff! read more

Way too slow. Had to wait 25 minutes for a chicken sandwich and tator tots and the store wasn't even crowded. I don't believe the wait is worth it. read more

Burgers were salty beyond belief. Now that both my son and I experienced stomach issues I suspect the salt masked the possible spoilage. 1st, and definitely last time dining at any Smashburger. Positive: avocado was ripe and nicely green read more

I wanted to like it but, not worth the calories. Fries were awful as was the truffle dipping sauce. Shake Shack is still the BEST burger for your money!! read more

Brussels sprouts taste like how rotten armpits sell they were drenched with grease that soaked through the cup and all the napkins in the bag. Ended up tossing them out because they were so filled of grease. My Black bean burger was dry and the toppings were nonexistent it tasted really bad. Paid for guacamole but got none. Waited 25 minutes for my food and my friend waited almost 45 minutes for a salad. The food is Overpriced and not worth it. And the cashiers need to learn how to change them gloves instead of wearing the same ones for the entire hour we were there while he was touching money, food, bathroom doors and cups. Nasty!! read more

I have been here maybe a total of 3 times but im basing this on the most recent. The first time i came i remember they got my order of fries wrong but cleared it with the manager and he let me keep both. This time i went in and the staff that takes your order are pretty friendly. I had ordered an oreo/strawberry shake and 3 chicken avocado club sandwiches. This time for some reason i decided to order one of the 3 crispy chicken (which i believe was the culprit) and the other 2 grilled. Took the food back to a friend's place and ate 1 crispy and one grilled. Was kind of full but thankful i didnt eat the last. Maybe like 2 hours later i start to get a fever. Had no idea what was ahead of me. In the middle of the night (Friday into Saturday) i got this painful feeling in my stomach and from then till about Wednesday, i developed a strong bond with my toilet. Had to skip leg and shoulder day for the first time in years, call out work, and my stomach was in pain. Tried to force myself to eat something healthy and it just caused more pain. I had food poisoning. That was by far my favorite sandwich from there until that day. Gave it 2 stars because staff was nice but that s doesn't mean the standards for food should be lowered. Not coming back. read more

I never tried smash burger before until we were around here with a car and this place has a nice parking lot together with chipotle and some other stores. I usually like five guys most when it comes to fast food burger but smash burger impressed me a lot. Smash burger has many choices of buns and sauces, I got chipotle buns and chipotle sauce and they were amazing! Their sweet potato fries was great too, I could taste a lot of herbs inside. There was sth I tried for the first time, fried pickles. They were so damn good, I do recommend getting them!!! Overall smash burger is one of my favorite burgers now due to the choices and the prices. read more

Unhappy customer. Likely won't return. Can't make burgers to order as a burger place, makes order before order is complete so won't make changes, cold food, untold up charges. Came in on my way from work to grab a quick dinner for my child and I. Started off pleasant. Person taking my order seemed nice enough. Order a kids smash with a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Move onto mine. Ask if I could have my burger medium even slightly under. Manger behind her... back to me... Without even turning around tells her no, only medium well or well done. But THIS IS A BURGER JOINT!!! (strike 1). She could have at least address me if you're affecting my order. Onto fries... the small I realized would be too much for just me (usually i share with my cold but the kids supposedly is very small). So I requested, just change her kids meal to a regular small burger (I was already told it was the same size burger) and then add a small fry for us to share. I was told I could NOT do that as her order was already made. Remember I have not completed my transaction yet so how is her order placed AND completed already. Strike 2. Decide to leave it, I don't need it anyways. This is the point I realize sweet potato fries are a .50 up charge which was not mentioned. Mind you I was reading and ordering from a paper menu which had no prices on it since the board forces you to crane your neck and squint in my case. I still pay and told to sit tight as my meal is made SMASH FRESH. Get in my car with order, drive 2 blocks to highway entrance, reach in bag at light and snatch a fry. BARELY room temperature. I went less than half a mile and smash fresh fries have already gone cold... That I was charged an extra .50 for. Strike 3. And food altogether was nothing fantastic. Not a happy customer and for future needs I'll go a bit further and go to Five Guys who will make my order as desired, give me a heads up of additional cost, and serve my food pipping hot. read more

So the food was AMAZING (Loved the Veggie frites with my burger) but my experience at SmashBurger wouldve been better if the girl at the cashier Denise was more pleasant. The name on the shirt said Denise but the receipt said Jessica so watever her name is. SmashBurger has so many options so I was just trying to figure out wat I want & she was just being so short, talking extremely fast & rushing me to make my order. SmashBurger is good but maybe this branch needs to do some more customer service training for their employees. Havent decided if I'll be back or not. Disappointing customer service read more

very clean work environment , respectful workers and last but not least great food I highly recommend!!!

Okay I am new to this franchise but the first impression was a winner. The applewood bacon cheese burger (the very rare occasion I will partake in the swine) was awesome even though it was well done I'm a med rare gal.....the burger still managed to be juicy. The seasoning on the smash fries and veggie fritters were everything. And what needs to be said about the haagen dazs milkshake.......Delish! This will be in heavy rotation. And may replace my beloved Perista Diner burger......which is the best thus far then entered Smash burger. read more

Good quality and friendly staff. I liked the idea of different flavored spices on the fries. I liked my buffalo fries. Did not like how tiny the fries are. I prefer bigger normal sized fries. Grabbing one of these little guys would be silly and then grabbing a handful is a mess. They were even too tiny to use a fork and grab them. read more

I don't mind people wanting to go home and start cleaning up early, but I find it very unbecoming to turn away a customer almost a half an hour before closing time. I've worked in restaurants and we had to serve anyone who walked through the door until we are closed. Walked in at 9:35 and got turned away. Very disappointed read more

This location is near the 238th street stop on the 1 train, as well as the Bx 9 and Bx 3 MTA bus. So I have been here a couple of times, and the staff is really friendly, honestly I try to go early in the day because the seating is limited. The menu is a little interesting, and because of that I have tried to just create my own burger meal, because all I ever really want is a bacon cheese burger with fries- and there smash fries are pretty good. I will say when I first got my order, I thought the burger was small for the price, but in this case it is quality over quantity . The meal was pretty good! read more

The best part of this chain are the customization options! 5 oz (regular) or 7 oz (big), beef or chicken, 5 bun options and tons of toppings & sauces. I tried a few burgers off their menu before trying to "create my own". My favorite side here (hands down) are the haystack onions...thinly sliced battered onion rings that are seasoned with some kind of addictive salt & peppery goodness. You can get potato or sweet potato Smashfries (tossed in olive oil, rosemary & garlic) which are so tasty, you won't need ketchup. The potato fries are really thin (matchstick fries) and super crispy, but I like my fries squishier in the middle. Excellent milkshakes and Honest Tea and Vitamin Water fountain drinks. Everything I've ever wanted in a burger joint! read more

The front service is great, nice and friendly. But the kitchen?? My brussels sprouts were burnt and mushy, and my burger was a sad, flattened mash missing items. Maybe they were understaffed, but still unfair to employees and customers. A major chain should do better. read more

Super helpful & super friendly staff. There's a burger for everyone here! Whether you like beef, chicken or turkey. They even have a delicious black bean burger that's a must try. There's many options of sides from fries, tots or veggies. Different varieties of beverages including their famous shakes are great here. Customizing your order is super easy too. Man, this is my first time at Smashburger and I was very excited to eat there because I've heard lots of good things. I finally gave in and went on my cheat day today. I ordered and waited in line. I told the girl at the register it was my first time. She was like wow really? I ordered and 20 min later I'm still standing there. I saw people coming and going, not just online order people but people who ordered at the register. They ordered, got their food and went. I finally ask about my order and one girl asked the cooks and they basically said nothing. So that's when my order went in. I was annoyed especially it being my first experience. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. I don't know. Got my money back and left. If they would have even looked like they cared about anything I would be ok. But they didn't give two shts it seemed like. Thanks guys read more

The franchise itself is GREAT! But this location is OUTSTANDING!!! The service, the food preparation, and the staff are all above par! If you've never eaten at a Smashburger before, I most definitely recommend this location; however I cannot speak for any other because I've never gone to any other! I love this one & go out of my way to go back to it. I know how hard it is to find "Home Run" style in service, food & staff all in one place, so when I do... why even bother taking a chance going somewhere else?!!?! read more

I occasionally come here with my kids after I pick them up from school, and my kids and I enjoy this place, The service is good, the burgers are not too expensive, and when my kids are hungry, they can get something quick and good to eat. Horrible overpriced dried out burger. Sad-- left out the cheese. This was from the Smashburger truck on the UES in NYC. No value here!

Two stars for just because they were friendly and pitched properly, but the burger was the worst burger that I've ever had. It was soaked with grease. The bread was soaking wet! Smashburger - Yummyyyyy! Clean place and great food & service - Burgers Near Me - Bronx, New York

Alrighty guys, so let's dive into this wonderful place: this location's smash burger opened up on May 13,2015 so it's been in operation for a couple of weeks now, The store itself is pretty big, it reminds me of a mix between Johnny rockets and 5 guys style. Very nice seating arrangements and clean restroom (it still has that very much newish feel obviously). Now to the staff: there very nice. From the chances I have to speak with a few of them they were attentive, informative and really down to earth. The kitchen staff seems quick on the draw, orders don't take long and are pushed out quickly with the quality not forgotten or lost like so many other good places. Food: I've had the blu cheese burger and their regular fries as well as their "smash fries" (fries bathed in olive oil) and i must say it's been a tasty/satisfying treat each time. The burgers are well cooked (feels like it's been marinated since it has a juicy taste). They have your standard drinks fountains for refills if you get soda or water but there best is in there shakes. They probably have the best blended milk shakes ever. Smash burger is definitely one of the best spots to chill at in this location. Haven't seen anything negative so far and I say to the staff thank you and keep it going guys. There definitely a lot better than some of the other stores around the area. Final verdict: Pros: good food, excellent staff, fresh and clean space. Cons: maybe crowds but it's not that much of a problem (look at my tip) Judgement: I would definitely go to them for more food and you should definitely check this location out. Smash burger 9/10. read more

Admittedly, I had not been to this section of the Bronx in quite some time. I've been around the Target area many a time, but rarely have I found myself going north of 231st on the 1 Train. I've had no need, save for the last time I went to Bronx Ale House with a friend back in 2011. I was drawn to go check out Smashburger after it popped up under the trusty "New Businesses in NYC - Manhattan" header on my Yelp homepage and went, "Hey! That's kinda sorta in my neighborhood!" (When you live in Inwood, anything within 20 minutes via the A, 1, or Bx7 bus is in "the neighborhood" for me. Heheh.) The Beau, his little bro, and I decided to check it out for dinner one night. As I approached the 238th Street stop on the 1, I was surprised to see a sprawling shopping plaza BJ's Wholesale, a giant Buffalo Wild Wings, and a Chipotle, all surrounding the little (comparably speaking) Smashburger. WOW. I'm pretty sure NONE of that was there in 2011. I forget how suburban parts of the Bronx can be! Well, we entered, and the place is sprawling, albeit pretty warm inside! I wasn't too overwhelmed by menu choices, but they are ample and appealing. The beau and his bro both went for the classic Smashburger, while I opted for the Spinach & Goat Cheese burger. We split an order of regular fries and sweet potato fries between the three of us. Upon ordering, we were given a number to put on our tables. Everything was delivered to us in about five minutes. My burger was delicious! In addition to the spinach and goat cheese, along with the traditional lettuce and tomato, this burger has cucumber, which I found to be a most lovely addition! I found the burger to be light yet filling without feeling like there's a brick in my stomach, which, well, happens with lots of burgers. (I know. I'm stating the obvious here.) The guys also really liked their classic burgers. The fries, both kinds, were delectable. The beau is not a sweet potato fan (...nobody's perfect, I suppose...), but even he ate quite a few of the fries! I suppose my only minor complaint would be how the burgers are cooked. I wanted medium, and my cashier told me they only cook them medium-well or well-done. Eh. No matter, I suppose, because I enjoyed my burger, regardless. The location provides ample seating and great service. Before sitting down, one of the staff members, Derrick (...I believe was his name...) jumped to clean an empty table I found before I sat down at it. Though there aren't waiters here, he was very friendly and offered to assist us if we needed anything else. Very nice young man! I've heard great things about Smashburger from out-of-state friend, and I know there was a pretty sizable "Hurrah!" when the one near the Empire State Building opened. I must say...y'all make a great burger! For me, it's worth the walk to and ride on 1 Train. read more

Okay four stars, I returned with the hubby who treated me to some lunch, I told him I don't remember the last burger I had here because it was awhile ago. He on other hand has returned four or five times so he has gotten familiar with what he likes. So he ordered his usual, a bacon bbq burger with smash fries, I order a baha avocado burger, a burger with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, severed on a chipotle bun, Yummy! Five stars for the burger, but four stars for overall experience. Still was not crazy or impressed by their smash fries, that my hubby raved about, he loves the place like I said, I do too, but not better than my Yo Burger place. The smash fries are like a knock off version of truffle fries, and I love me some truffle fries, but not theirs. This place is cool and the price is actually pretty good, so I was wrong about that. I say you'll get your money worth and a good meal, and I do think that some of the workers may need an attitude adjustment, not my server, but the cashier we had. She was not pleasant at all. read more

I have mixed review from this burger joint. I ordered an avocado club burger with regular fries and it was delicious, however my husband ordered the chicken club with smash fries. The chicken sandwich had no flavor whatsoever, and we weren't a big fan of the smash fries. The girl taking our order was very helpful and helped us order our meal since it was our first time there. Now, the prices are a bit steep.. 2 burgers with fries and drinks cost $27. We didn't get any premiums ingredients on the burgers because they are about $2 each. Even though my burger was delicious, I don't know if I would eat again at Smashburger because I think it's too pricey for a burger. I visited the restroom and it was clean. Overall the customer service here was very good. read more

Shakes are AWESOME! That's all I can say. :) The food is ok, nothing to rave about. Wish their fries were bigger - seriously they are so skinny! I prefer their chicken burger since the beef burgers are a tad greasy for my taste. If you are staying to eat this is how the process works. 1- you order and pay at the counter 2- they give you a number sign 3- you find a seat that you like and display the number sign 4- they bring you the food. #4 is where they lose me a little because if you are with a group you will get your food and drinks at different times. Which can be annoying. read more
