Very small portions for what you pay
Heidi B.

Couldn't wait for Smash Burger to open, as I've had a few in America. Staff were friendly and there was A LOT of staff. Perhaps to many? Sat down to wait for burger and fries to be bought to us. Expecting lots of fries as £2.50 a portion and very yummy burger at £4.75. The First burger came. So we did that awkward politeness whilst the other half waits until the other half of the order is served and they watch their food going cold. 4 minutes it took to get the rest of the order!!! And even though the burger was juicy and seasoned well the rest of it was ok. As for chips McDonalds small portion is larger sized! There is going to be a lot of one time customers here.

Delicious burger with a good menu! My friend and I shared some sides and were really pleased with how it tasted, and how quick we got it too

Bad quality price relationship. Horrible music. Bad service. Tables don't get cleaned

Wow what can I say fabulous burgers. Music to my taste buds definitely the best burgers I've ever tasted. Not a fan of the Stilton ones but the rest were absolutely amazingly tasty . Really nice decor modern but really clean and smart looking. Nice clean toilets too . The staff are really nice and helpful too . The beer and milkshakes are of good quality too .Had a wonderful evening with fellow yelpers. Thank you smash burger and Sophie p for a wonderful evening can't wait to go back absolutely wonderful food 10/10

Smashburger is a VERY welcome addition to the burgeoning Brighton burger scene. Absolutely delicious burgers with a variety of tasty, soft buns that don't fall apart, some incredible fllavour combinations are on offer here. The Stilton Stack beef burger and Mushroom Truffle Swiss burger were incredible - I'm not into Stilton nor Truffles so to try these and really enjoy them was a pleasant surprise! I wouldn't hesitate to have them again. There are a range of chicken burgers with various toppings which are also fantastic, but the beef burgers are the show stealers here. Not only are the burgers incredible, the sides are fantastic too! Sweet potato chips cooked and seasoned to perfection, as well as rosemary seasoned fries. Both were light and not too greasy. Some more interesting sides available are deep fried gherkins (different, but great if you're one of those weird gherkin lovers), seasoned carrots and green beans, and THE most delicious onion rings I have ever tasted. Thinly sliced and lightly battered on site, they are probably one of the tastiest sides I have ever had with a burger, I implore you to try them! Now, on to the drinks! The Milkshakes are delicious, no pretentious flavours, just ice cream milkshakes done extremely well. Very enjoyable. There are also those cool machines that have over 100 flavours of soft drink (you get unlimited refills of these!) I can't wait to return to munch my way through the menu!

Considering the extortionate prices I'd assume they'd put a little bit of effort into the presentation as mine was dreadful.

Brighton Burger - The devil went down to brighton

It is both a blessing and a nightmare that Brighton Burger is so close to my current flat. A…read moreblessing because, let's face it, these are some of the best burgers I've ever tasted, and a nightmare because it's going to be hard not to get one every single day... Set up in a tiny, shack-like kitchen just beside the Giggling Squid, Brighton Burger serves hearty, honest, flavoursome food. Their menu is wonderful, hosting many unusual eats and obscure burgers - from wild boar to buffalo- but they also server your usual burger and fries to a very high standard. The burgers themselves are almost moist and full of flavour. So moist, in fact, that my takeaway burger soaked through the paper bag (my only teeny complaint!). This can be forgiven though, for as soon as you bite into the juicy burger, cuddled by sweet, soft bun and topped with whatever glorious accompaniments you opted for, everything can be forgiven. Literally everything. This last visit had me trying out the buffalo burger, which was absolutely delicious! Not as different tasting as you might expect it to be, but certainly different enough that you notice you're tasting something new and out of the ordinary! I added chips to my order and they came out, all thin and crispy, just how I like them! I almost typed there were 'too many chips' there, but let's be honest there's no such thing. There were loads of them though, in one portion, so maybe share between two if your appetite is not massive! The man who served me was pleasant (they always are!) and the service was quick and painless. The burger and chips came to around £8 which, though not the cheapest in Brighton, is so so reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of the food here! There's also a few tables and chairs dotted out by the front of the place, so you can sit in the sun (when it's about) and enjoy your burger in peace, watching the world go by! If you're in Brighton and you haven't tried these burgers then, firstly, shame on you, and secondly TRY THEM. I'll eat my hat if you're not impressed and back again for seconds the next week! :P

This is really a special kind of burger place…read more We are spoilt for choice in Brighton, and so much of our community is staunchly on team burger brothers, with splinter faction taking root for the admirable efforts of GBK. This is a call for burger pluralism. As Sophie said, Brighton Burger is equally good in a different way. Every burger here is special. At first glance each one of them could have come from a different restaurant. Most visibly, the buns are completely distinct. All time favorites are of course the Brighton Burger and the Ranch. There is something here for you regardless of what kind of burger you like. Purists ought to grab the eponymous Brighton Burger, but even if you want pulled pork there's a sandwich for you in the Tennesse Terror. Rest assured, the patties are succulent, the unique buns are always on point, and the veg is top notch. Just look at the photos and try this place out.

Located opposite the Providence on Western Road it's in direct competition with Golden Grill two doors down. The difference in price between the two is negligible and so is the quality of service, as the staff in both are always friendly and understanding. Like most places special occasions such as New Year's Eve bring a twofold increase in cost but on a normal day Casba is as competitive as anywhere. The food is what you'd expect. If I want a Kebab I go here. If I want a burger and chips I'd go elsewhere. Ultimately it all depends on your preference. It's a Kebab shop: there's not that much to it!

Oh. My. Goodness. Now I know I'm probably not the best judge of character on this occasion but blimey it was nice! True I was quite tiddly and had the munchies but if a bit of naughty greasiness is what your after on nights like these, this is your place! I had the lamb Shish with all the trimmings and it tasted bloody lush! They're chilli sauce is homemade and really bloody good. I'm actually getting cravings as I write and I'm sober, oh no! The chips were also lovely and my veggie friends were equally pleased with their burgers. The man in there is such a character, he was hilarious, very jolly and bouncy and actually turned some music on for a bit of dance! I would have usually enjoyed this and taken part with everyone else if I wasn't slumped in a chair. GROTBAGS REJOICE!

It was my last night in Brighton and I had done loads of research and came upon this place, it's fairly new so not too many locals new about it but I decided to give it a try. The service was a little slow, one guy working but the food was way too fucking good. You have the option of wings with different sauces or fried chicken burgers. THEY ALSO HAVE VEGAN OPTIONS. I decided to order the Hot as Cluck burger with Fried Potato skins & 2 sauces. WOW.... I'm not even sure if I can use my words to describe how good this was. The thigh fillet was so juicy, moist and flavourful, the coating was crispy but the breading was evenly spread. It was topped with pickles, lettuce, & spicy chipotle slaw. As a side I got the fried potato skins... fuck French fries - these were insanely good. They were fully cooked, had a great crisp to it and a bit chewy. They were seasoned perfectly. I also decided to get 2 of the homemade sauces. The Thai basil & jalapeño creamy sauce and the Sweet Soy & Ginger. They were perfection. The Thai basil went great with the potatoes and I would splash a bit of the soy on the chicken burger. Now the most important part is after I had finished I didn't feel gross, I didn't feel as though I had eaten junk food! That's called quality right there. Please check this place out! Keep Eating, Angela
