Best smash burgers I've ever had! AMAZING! Found this place online and decided to try it while in the area. Can't rave enough about how amazing these burgers are. We tried the original smash burger and the Teri smash burger. We loved both. I personally liked the original smash burger better, but no complaints for either one. These burgers are from a food truck in a little food truck pod. It's very easy to walk to after shopping. They have tables in the shade.

We were blown away by the food. Every bite was fresh, inventive, and absolutely delicious. A truly unforgettable first meal in paradise. We loved it so much we went back a second time. If they have it, try their amazing banana bread...err Mango bread, to die for!!! However, we were even more moved by the amazing Aloha spirt shown by the owners. Their warmth, genuine kindness, and positive energy made us feel instantly welcomed! This isn't just a cafe, it's a highlight of the island experience and a must try. And who knows, you might run into them at the beach and be gifted with shells and sea glass!!

Teri Smash Burger was delicious, one of the better burgers I've had. Onions smashed into the burger adds another dimension and Teri sauce was just enough to get the great flavor but not overpowering. Long overdue, but this place deserves all the rave!! We visited Smash Café on a drizzly day as the first customers of the morning, and it turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the trip. The Original Smash Burger was simply amazing -- a fluffy toasted bun, thin and crispy smashed patty, melted cheese, and just the right condiments to pull it all together. The fries were a highlight -- perfectly crispy! Service was genuinely warm, and watching everything being made fresh right in the truck made it even better. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day -- this time trying the Teri Smash burger with fresh pineapple and the Hot Dog. Same story: high quality, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. Delicious burger, made even better by the owner/chef chatter. We loved the ambiance outside at the picnic tables, quiet and just the wind in the trees and the squawks of roosters and chickens here and there and the service and convo was lovely. The burgers (original and teri-burger) were cooked perfectly, well-charred and tasty, served on a deliciously grilled brioche(?) bun with very thinly sliced onions. The meat combination makes the burgers especially savory and the fries were hot, crispy, well-seasoned and rewarding after burning off a lot of calories snorkeling all day! We had our eye on this place and after a 3 hr morning hike, we stopped by. The people there are so kind & chill, and the food is delicious. Smashburger cafe is definitely the place you must stop for a smashburger. 2 patties with bacon bits added to the beef was definitely the ingredient that added savory flavor. Grilled to perfection. This place is awesome. Come here for a fresh, flavourful, packed burger on a toasted potato bun. These people know good food and are super kind and friendly to boot. On a scale of close your doors to franchise: this earns my Franchise ribbon. 1. Service: from the owner to the girl at the register, very friendly family type of service. 2. Pride: from their covered tables with lights to your satisfaction they want you to have with the perfect meal, they deliver! 3. This food truck in Koloa has the smashiest smash burgers! Thin, perfectly cooked patties with sauce, pickles, caramelized onion and a yummy bun. The fries were good too. We like them so much we were there twice in three days, and we'll go again. The service is super friendly and we enjoyed eating in the little park before walking around the Koloa town area. When in the mood for a really good cheeseburger experience check out this place! Dylan cares a lot about his customers and it shows, no short cuts on quality here with these guys. The fresh cut mango that comes with my order was what I didn't know I needed (so fresh and sweet!). I'm back home and still craving it. Stopped by after walk on beach and this place did NOT disappoint! Got teri smash burger with fries and lava flow smoothie! Smoothie has no dairy which is great and added to the coconut flavor for lava flow. If you get fries ask for teri mayo with them, it's a must try!! Great hotdogs (smash dogs) with fresh cut mangos and fries. The fries were super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My kid, who's super picky, really enjoyed it. They even brought out a little water gun for her to spray the local chickens with, which was a delight for her. read more

Possibly the best hamburger I've ever had, ever. Smash Café Kauai is in a park with several other food trucks, across the street from Sueoka's general store. The burgers are too thin smashed patties with cheese sauce, and pickles on a soft bun. Very, very tasty. The people running the food truck are friendly and excellent cooks read more

We came pretty early after opening, and there were just a few souls in sight. The people working the bar were great, and we promptly ordered and got our drinks. There's plenty of seating, both inside and out, so that was a huge plus! I ordered a haupia foam cold brew, and my friend got a standard cold brew. Both were great, and the haupia foam was light and sweet. I only wish I got a larger size! Coconut, cream, and roasty flavors emanated from my drink, making every sip pretty punchy. My friend was saying how he thinks Hawaiian cold brew, in general, is on the lighter side (in dilution, not in roast). I tend to agree. But, that gives a lot of room to flavor or really just deliver a lot of volume in your drink. I ordered a hot matcha latte with oat milk, and the matcha already comes pre-sweetened per the barista. It tastes very similar to Starbucks matcha, not horrible but not great either. A little too sweet for my liking and not enough of the matcha flavor comes through. The color also wasn't the correct shade of green for good quality matcha, but I'm someone who likes to make my matcha at home and rarely find ones at coffee shops that I actually like, so take my review with that in mind, if you're a casual matcha drinking then you would like their version. It doesn't dry your tongue out or have a bitter taste. The following day I decided to try their coffee and ordered a hot vanilla oat milk latte. It was just okay, the espresso is a little more on the acidic side and I couldn't taste any vanilla flavor. Definitely not the worst latte I've had in Hawaii, but for the cost of lattes nowadays, I wouldn't come back to try more of their menu until I try other local coffee shops first. Let me first just say the service was incredible by this very handsome young blonde boy. He was super super polite very informative about the menu. Me and my partner got a Terry burger and a normal smash burger and they were excellent. It came with this incredible sauce on the side for the fries, which was impeccable. The burger was juicy crispy so delicious. Probably the best burger I've ever had in my entire life no kidding the ambience was incredible. Very nice. Very nice people. If I could give this place a 7 star rating I would! We were in Kauai for vacation and I came back twice in 3 days. Their burgers are juicy and thick with fresh toppings. The bun was the best burger bun I've ever had and normally the bun doesn't stand out to me. Now for the fries. I am a LOVER of fries and these fries take the cake. They also have a specialty house dipping sauce that is to die for. Beyond the food, service was spectacular! The staff was so kind and remembered our names and faces! Today, for lunch, I had my first Smash Burger experience and it was fantastic. If you're in the mood for a great burger, this is the place to come to. Recently I ate a hamburger at a very fancy restaurant. The price was $28 and without a doubt this Smashburger was so much better for $16. I tried the basic one and will come back to try the teriyaki one. There was even live music as I ate, very relaxing environment outdoors on a beautiful Kaua'i day! read more
