Long overdue, but this place deserves all the rave!! We visited Smash Café on a drizzly day as the first customers of the morning, and it turned out to be one of our favorite meals of the trip. The Original Smash Burger was simply amazing -- a fluffy toasted bun, thin and crispy smashed patty, melted cheese, and just the right condiments to pull it all together. The fries were a highlight -- perfectly crispy! Service was genuinely warm, and watching everything being made fresh right in the truck made it even better. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day -- this time trying the Teri Smash burger with fresh pineapple and the Hot Dog. Same story: high quality, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. Something tells me everything on the menu is worth ordering! Smash Cafe is a must for our future visits.

Best smash burgers I've ever had! AMAZING! Found this place online and decided to try it while in the area. Can't rave enough about how amazing these burgers are. We tried the original smash burger and the Teri smash burger. We loved both. I personally liked the original smash burger better, but no complaints for either one. These burgers are from a food truck in a little food truck pod. It's very easy to walk to after shopping. They have tables in the shade.

An absolute must-stop: Pure Aloha & Unforgettable meal!! Smash Cafe Kauai was literally our first stop after landing on the island, and it set an impossibly high bar for the rest of our trip! We were blown away by the food. Every bite was fresh, inventive, and absolutely delicious. A truly unforgettable first meal in paradise. We loved it so much we went back a second time. If they have it, try their amazing banana bread...err Mango bread, to die for!!! However, we were even more moved by the amazing Aloha spirt shown by the owners. Their warmth, genuine kindness, and positive energy made us feel instantly welcomed! This isn't just a cafe, it's a highlight of the island experience and a must try. And who knows, you might run into them at the beach and be gifted with shells and sea glass!!

I've never had a better smash burger in my life. Seriously it was perfect. The flavors, the crisp fries, everything was spot on. On top of that the service was absolutely amazing. Annika was so sweet and made us feel completely at home. While her brother cheffed up in the kitchen. This place is a must if you're in Kauai. Can't wait to come back!

My dad and I were on our way to our hotel when he saw the sign for Smash Cafe Kauai. There are also a few other food trucks there as well so everyone can find something. The star of the place is definitely Smash Cafe. I order the OG "Original" SMASH BURGER. There are tables and chairs that are set in the shade as well as friendly chickens to keep you company. Even though it was a food truck they still brought the food to and it was a 10-15 min wait MAX. This has to be the best burger I have had EVER!!! It was so fresh I had to wait a bit for it to cool off. The patties were juicy and crispy along the edges, the truffle aioli worked so well with the cheese and beef flavors. The fries were cooked to perfection as well. I strongly suggest you ask for some extra aioli on the side to dip the fries in. They have other menu items as well like crispy chicken, veggie burgers, and they even have a vegan Beyond Burger. I strongly suggest you give them a try you will not be disappointed. read more

We got a veggie burger with fries and an activity bowl from a nearby truck. This spot in koloa town has plenty of food trucks and there are so many seating available. The burger and fries were freshly made and tasted yummy. There were also some soft drinks available at the store for purchase. The only thing was there were so many chickens wandering around the tables and that is common in Kauai. read more

Delicious burger, made even better by the owner/chef chatter. We loved the ambiance outside at the picnic tables, quiet and just the wind in the trees and the squawks of roosters and chickens here and there and the service and convo was lovely. The burgers (original and teri-burger) were cooked perfectly, well-charred and tasty, served on a deliciously grilled brioche(?) bun with very thinly sliced onions. The meat combination makes the burgers especially savory and the fries were hot, crispy, well-seasoned and rewarding after burning off a lot of calories snorkeling all day! Smashburger cafe is definitely the place you must stop for a smashburger. 2 patties with bacon bits added to the beef was definitely the ingredient that added savory flavor. Grilled to perfection. Teri Smash Burger was delicious, one of the better burgers I've had. Onions smashed into the burger adds another dimension and Teri sauce was just enough to get the great flavor but not overpowering. This place is awesome. Come here for a fresh, flavourful, packed burger on a toasted potato bun. These people know good food and are super kind and friendly to boot. On a scale of close your doors to franchise: this earns my Franchise ribbon. 1. Service: from the owner to the girl at the register, very friendly family type of service. 2. Pride: from their covered tables with lights to your satisfaction they want you to have with the perfect meal, they deliver! 3. The food: I honestly think my mouth orgasmed multiple times while eating the #1 original smash burger. When I was done I wiped my mouth and walked away totally satisfied. Yum to the E! When in the mood for a really good cheeseburger experience check out this place! Dylan cares a lot about his customers and it shows, no short cuts on quality here with these guys. The fresh cut mango that comes with my order was what I didn't know I needed (so fresh and sweet!). I'm back home and still craving it. This food truck in Koloa has the smashiest smash burgers! Thin, perfectly cooked patties with sauce, pickles, caramelized onion and a yummy bun. The fries were good too. We like them so much we were there twice in three days, and we'll go again. The service is super friendly and we enjoyed eating in the little park before walking around the Koloa town area. This place has the best burgers on the south shore! This family owned restaurant puts a lot of thought into creating their own meat patties from scratch. It's also the best deal in town - more affordable than other restaurants in Koloa. Definitely not the worst latte I've had in Hawaii, but for the cost of lattes nowadays, I wouldn't come back to try more of their menu until I try other local coffee shops first. I moved to Kauai a few months ago and have been on a quest sampling all the incredible food trucks on the island and let me tell you, Smash Cafe is THE BEST. I cannot properly describe how incredible their smash burgers are... like actually the best I've ever had. The Teriyaki burger is my go-to and I legit dream about it. In addition to the top notch food, they also have THE BEST customer service of anywhere I've been on the island, too! I understand it's a local family business, the wife runs the register taking orders and she is so sweet it just about hurts your teeth. I've had to stop myself from asking her if she wants to be friends The location is easy to access, convenient and beautiful amongst the trees, chickens and historic architecture of Koloa town. 10/10 all around, do not miss out on this place whether you're vacationing or a local. read more

Me and my partner got a Terry burger and a normal smash burger and they were excellent. It came with this incredible sauce on the side for the fries, which was impeccable. The bun was the best burger bun I've ever had and normally the bun doesn't stand out to me. Now for the fries. I am a LOVER of fries and these fries take the cake.
