A few days after securing the unit, I moved my belongings in after dark. My unit is on the third floor, and I had multiple trips to unload my van. During that time, I repeatedly encountered a man wandering throughout the building. He was moving between floors and elevators, not carrying anything, and appeared to simply be roaming. Each time we crossed paths, he stared intensely and made me very uncomfortable. At one point, I saw him exiting the women's restroom, even though the men's restroom was clearly unoccupied. This added to my concern. For a period of time, he and I were the only people in the building, which felt extremely unsettling. I've rented storage units for over 20 years and have never experienced anything like this. Typically, people are there briefly to load or unload items -- not wandering around aimlessly after dark. Two days later, I went to the front office to report what happened. Derek and Tim identified themselves as property managers. When I described the individual, Derek immediately knew who I meant and told me he has 24/7 access and is a long-term "resident." I found that response confusing and concerning, given that this is a storage facility, not a residential property. What troubled me most was how my safety concern was handled. Derek was dismissive, argumentative, and spoke to me in a condescending tone. He did not apologize or acknowledge my discomfort. When I asked about transferring to a first-floor unit for safety reasons, he was again dismissive and unwilling to help or provide any alternatives. Customer safety concerns should be taken seriously, and professionalism from management should be the standard -- not the exception. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Women especially should use caution when visiting this location after dark and consider bringing someone with them. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unacceptable experience.

We have repeatedly asked for a light to change, but more importantly, the outside door is sagging in the door frame and is very hard to open and almost impossible to close. This company continues to say their workman is sick or in the hospital or any other excuse except to fix these issues. She is paying Smart Store $500.00/mo.!!! We should be combatant services and BS from this company. DO NOT rent from them they are completely unreliable and unethical.

The crew Joshua, Jonathan, Jaxson & DJ treated everything as though they were moving cartons of eggs. They were so polite kind & considerate. We worked together for two full days. Their attitude was always positive. I was SUPER nervous that something precious to me would get damaged in such a move. Everything arrived in perfect condition. My main complaint is with the crippling price increases. When it changed hands they immediately raised the prices significantly. Now, only a few months later they are raising them again! Of course this effects their good, long-time customers the most as new people are offered a deal, but those faithful customers who really pay the bills are shafted again and again. Not only is this storage facility clean and very secure (2 points of entry required), but they prorate your rental charges depending on when you start and when you move out (which is a nice change from the traditional storage unit model). One thing that is vital to whether or not I'll use an establishment again, is Customer Service - yes, that is in caps specifically because it is so important to me. My partner and I were both asking questions and I was really impressed by the way that when he responded he made a point of including both of us in his answer with great eye contact and the feeling that he really cared that we walk out with all of the information we needed.
