There is no real decor to speak of, and I think the place could use a coat of bright, fresh paint. That being said, I had a delicious breakfast sandwich. I ordered a large Café con Leche, but was instead served a large cappuccino. It was good coffee. I did enjoy the soft but hardy bread and salty perfection that was the bacon. However, the oil used stayed with me all day, even after brushing my teeth and chewing a piece of Sweet Mint gum. It was an odd experience. read more

Coffee : amazing , the flavor is perfect for a caramel ice latte and such a good balance . I'm curious about what coffee beans they use. Food : I normally get an egg and bacon croissant every time I go and it's good but very basic . I can admit the food is pricey for stuff that honestly everyone can make at home . I always do an online order for pick up so I never interact with the staff for too long but the girl at the counter is always nice when handing me my stuff ! Updating review based on today's experience: Visited today because I wanted to take my mom and small child on a coffee date around 8am. I asked about the children's croquettes and they kindly explained the type so I ordered them and then they told me they were already out. Moved on to order coffees, tried to order a decaf for my mom who can not have regular coffee and was advised they do not have ANY decaf coffee. How does a coffee shop not offer a decaf option? I ordered a coffee for myself expecting the beautiful delicious coffee I got on my past visits and instead I received a cup that was basically warm milk, but they kindly added another shot of espresso for me. Finally our food was delivered and when we asked for utensils we were given plastic ware which doesn't cut through the avocado toast because they were out of clean utensils. Overall not the experience I hoped to have. I want this neighborhood location to thrive, but this experience left us under impressed and with the lack of a decaf option we can't return. read more

I was really excited to try this placed based on the reviews but unfortunately it did not meet expectations. I ordered the double espresso and my wife ordered the iced caramel macchiato with oat milk. My espresso tasted watery and was littered with coffee grounds..the beans themselves seemed robust but there was no crema in sight and it just seem to be improperly extracted based on mouth feel and taste. The iced coffee was overly sweet and this was coming from my wife who has a sweet tooth. As a side note we also ordered our food and drinks to dine in but everything was served in to go cups and containers? I would have preferred my drink out of glass. The food was good, I enjoyed the prosciutto grilled cheese and my wife loved her croissant breakfast sandwich, but we really didn't come here for food. The atmosphere was very relaxing and jazzy but the shop closes at 2:00 pm and the employees were cleaning up around us at 1:40 pm which just makes you feel like you are being "kicked out" or something even though there are 20 minutes left and I found it to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I visited Smartbean back when it first opened and was disappointed in the food so I never bothered to come back. I should've known the first week always has it kinks because visiting again recently I was blown away by the quality and selections of the food and drinks. The menu had definitely expanded since I first passed by, making the options plentiful. My boyfriend and I opted for the croissant sandwiches, myself with the breakfast croissant prosciutto sandwich (let's face it, I'm a sucker for anything with truffle), and my boyfriend with the regular croissant prosciutto sandwich. They were both truly delicious! The truffle taste in the breakfast sandwich was not overpowering, and the croissant was toasted to a flaky crisp. The regular lunch sandwich had feta and cream cheese which was the perfect creamy compliment to the fresh arugula. I would recommend either one for sure, although everything on the menu is mouthwatering. They have a ton of coffee options, even sporting the beloved latte art foam. While training in Weston, FL, I found this super cool, really delicious Coffee spot; it was so good I came back here 4 times. Located in Hialeah, FL, Smartbean Coffee House is definitely up there as one of my favorite coffee spots to hit. Their Caramel Macchiato was honestly out of this world. It just had the perfect coffee to creamy and sweet ratio. In addition, I would highly recommend their croissant sandwiches as well as their chicken sandwich. They were all well seasoned and really good. The croissant had that perfect buttery flaky texture. The only suggestion I would make is to flatten the chicken breast a bit because there were some really thick parts and really thin parts to the sandwich, in which I had some dry bites. I had no good reason to check out Smartbean Coffee House except for the fact that I was on my way to Broward and it's still kind of out of the way for me. I've had it bookmarked since they recently opened, but didn't think too much of it. 5 Stars with 50+ reviews, but none of my Yelp friends had reviewed it yet. Located in some unassuming plaza and driving through so many neighborhoods and houses, I wondered if my GPS was correct. I finally found Smartbean in a plaza with many other businesses. When entering this small cafe, it's like we entered another world in comparison to the surrounding plaza and neighborhood. It's clean, comfy, and relaxing here with some jazz music playing. Great vibe here as the owners here definitely came from another state and it looks like a nice addition to this neighborhood. We started off with a simple coffee, a latte with oat milk. At first, it wasn't that great. But after the foam started to settle in, this coffee started to taste really smooth and good. I thought they might've used an inferior oat milk but this was not the case. Good coffee. Avocado Toast - definitely was no ordinary avo toast. With miso vinaigrette and some other flavor, mixed greens, and a perfectly poached egg, this avo toast was excellent. And the bread (Zaks whole grain) was toasty and delish. Personally, I'm not crazy about avocado toast, but I enjoyed this one. Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich - was simple and made with ham, swiss, and egg on top of fried chicken. The best part was the fried chicken which was super crisp and flavored very well. This is quality fried chicken.. not KFC. So simple, yet so good all around. I'd order the same items again from this place, but there are more items to try here. If I hadn't seen it earlier, I would've ordered the Billionaire Benedict from the Specials Menu which is only offered on Saturdays and Sundays. Also, just a note that the blue writing on this board is hard to see. The wait for the food was about 15-20 minutes, but well worth the wait. Overall, I enjoyed Smartbean Coffee House. We pulled off the highway here in Miami on our way over to the west side of Florida. We were both craving a great cup of coffee and something to eat for breakfast. We're jetlagged from a trip to Israel and woke up at 2 AM so we're not in our routine. Daniel, the owner, was very friendly to us. He offered to top off our coffees. The coffee was smooth and rich. We had the breakfast sandwich which was brioche with scrambled eggs. Super crispy bacon, arugula, avocado, and seasoning. It was the perfect breakfast sandwich. SmartBean coffee house is a small coffee house with great ambiance and friendly staff. There is seating for maybe about 30 at one time, but that doesn't stop this from being a amazing place. I'm already driving by here and never have stopped by until today. Totally worth stopping the food is great and staff is friendly. We orders two croissants, one ham and cheese and the other a breakfast croissant. The ham and cheese croissant doesn't have nothing too special about it other than the fact that the croissant itself is super flaky and we love that here. But the breakfast croissant took the win with its perfectly scrambled egg and the balance between the ham with the cheese was just immaculate. The lattes were good too. There was something about the hazelnut latte that made it creamy. There was sufficient foam on the latte and to me that's a plus. We also got a mocha latte and it was pretty good too. All in all this coffee house is a must stop by for me, they even do pick up orders. If you don't have much time just order ahead, pick up and go. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back. read more

Excellent coffee lounge in the middle of our neighborhood. This place feels very relaxing and makes you want to sit back and enjoy a coffee. The drinks are delicious. I found the Vanilla Latte a lot smoother and creamier than your big chain coffee companies. Best of all they make some nice foam designs. Great way to Impress someone. The staff quickly learns your name so they make you feel welcomed all the time. Highly recommend the avocado toast for a good bite. It is delicious and made to order. This is a great place for an after dinner hangout or even getting a group of friends together to kick back and catch-up while having coffee.
