I think it was love at first sight or better said first sip! lol A friend and I found this place online and decided to give it a try. Parking is free and pretty simple. We placed our order, I never know what I want so I let one of the Barista pick out her favorite which was the brown sugar taro and my friend wanted matcha and ended up ordering the lucky charms matcha. We waited inside this warehouse, open space they had next to the coffee cart truck. I was in love with all the different art pieces they had up and even some dominos. They were pretty busy with both online orders as well in person orders, but our drinks came out pretty quick. Yes the drinks are 7-7.50 for a medium size; Are they mostly just ice like Starbucks? Not at all. Do they taste freshly made and serviced with love? Heck yeaaaahhhh and delicious!! Somewhere nearby is a yoga studio because the crowd was just as likely to rock Alo tops as patriarchy-smashing armpit hair. I scanned the menu, which offered no descriptions and a dozen fairly priced items ranging from $1 to $7.50. Service moved slowly, but only two people were working frantically out of a tiny coffee cart, so I cut them some slack. The barista apologized for the wait and pointed out the free Wi-Fi, books, games, and even a communal guitar I could use in the café / open warehouse with mismatched seating and a tidy bathroom. I ordered the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha with horchata cold foam up top, ceremonial-grade green tea in the middle, and mango cream cruising at the bottom. I also tried the limited Banana Bread Iced Latte, which was subtle and sweet but didn't exactly scream "tropics." Honestly, it could've passed for a carrot cake or pecan pie latte, but nobody's filing a complaint because both drinks were top-tier. This is my second time visiting Kujo's but the first time since last year. They are located in Hialeah and have a nice set up with a tented area where you can place your order at the window of the truck, they also have a table where you can wait/enjoy your drink, but they've since opened up an indoor seating area in a garage with more tables and a sofa. The staff were both super nice. I am usually picky about the kind of milk substitutes I drink and they were nice enough to let me know what they use and gave suggestions based on the drinks I chose. The latte was better than the matcha in my opinion, but I love a stronger matcha flavor that is not as sweet, and I think having the cold foam in my matcha definitely masked the matcha flavor a bit. All the drinks were decent and if you're in the area I recommend coming here for a drink. I'll probably come back in the coming months to try more of their seasonal flavors! read more

I've been trying to go to every coffee shop in Hialeah/Miami lakes. Turns out kujos is the only spot in Hialeah that isn't a ventanita. There's so much space to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have a patio area by the trailer and also couches inside the warehouse. My coffee was delicious but a little too sweet. The food options sounded delicious. I'll definitely be returning soon to try some of the food. The employees are so fast my order was ready very quickly. read more

They have a monthly special menu that keeps getting better every time I visit. Case in point: the Carrot Cake Latte... CARROT CAKE! The homemade syrups are honestly what set them apart. On top of that, their year-round menu is amazing too, my personal favorite is the Tres Leches latte, which somehow tastes exactly like dessert in a cup. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the whole vibe is super inviting. They recently updated their hours: Wed-Fri 7am-3pm, weekends 9am-4pm, so there's plenty of time to grab a cup. What makes this spot even better is how involved they are in the community. As a Hialeah kid, it warms my heart to see such positive energy coming into the place where I was born and raised. The food truck is located in Hialeah by some warehouses, hidden from the public. The Toasted Marshmallow Latte was 10/10 - right amount of sweet and coffee savory taste. I highly recommend this drink. The only downside was that it was a 40 minute wait for 3 coffees. read more

I was so excited to try this place and it was a big let down. It's supposed to be specialty Cuban coffee (which is extremely strong but delicious) and honestly I've had stronger coffee at Starbucks. Kujos coffee shop has the best coffee I've ever tried, always has unique flavors and it's in such a unique spot. The service is great and they always make my coffee perfectly extra sweet when I ask for it. They have tables and chairs where you can go and work on your laptop or read if you want a third space to hang out in. They also have fun themes and activities almost every weekend. Hours of operation need to be updated to actually reflect working hours . We showed up at noon on Sunday and no one available. Very unprofessional to have your business show as open when it is not open . You will loose lots of customers if this isn't fixed as people drive somewhere thinking it is open according to your listed hours . Will not be making the drive again . read more

I was so excited to try this place, but it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. First, the service was good; she let me know up front what they didn't have in stock, which made my decision easier. The place itself didn't look that clean, to be honest. There were things thrown everywhere, cups with leftover cold foam sitting all over the table, etc. As for the coffee, my husband ordered a cold brew since he's not really into specialty coffee like that, but $6 for a premade cold brew that anyone can get two bottles of from BJs for almost the same price was a shock. I went for their monthly specialty coffee and tried the Tahini-roasted marshmallow latte, and I was very underwhelmed. The cold foam didn't really taste like much, and the coffee was mostly milk, with little to no taste until the very end.
