I've only had their pizza crust and it's amazing! Nice and crispy the way I like it. I'm excited to see they are in Austin!

Reem's is located by Spokesman coffee and I recently was able to learn about them and try their falafel at a Yelp event, and it really was the best falafel I had ever had - well seasoned, perfectly crisp, yet light on the inside. Ever since, I had bookmarked it so I could try more. I ordered a Chicken Plate and a Falafel Plate for delivery to share with a friend. They both traveled well. The plates come with a side of tabouli and hummus. I got the Spicy Hummus, which I didn't get any heat at all so I would order spicier in the future. The tabouli was nice and bright from the fresh parsley. The chicken was okay but I think I'd try the beef and lamb instead. The falafel was just as good as I remembered and I can see myself just buying a side of falafel every time I walk by.

I came back because I appreciated having a sample today reflected the main dishes of a Jerusalem street food truck. I order using the he link to their toast. They were on a break, so I had to wait a little longer. The link to order came in handy vs me waiting to put an order in until someone arrived. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a side of falafels. My falafels were crispy and flavorful. The chicken shawarma wrap was the perfect size. The amount of meat on the wrap was really good, all of the ingredients were balanced well. The chicken was flavorful as well. I wanted to order fries, but they were sold out. There is plenty of seating available throughout St. Elmo. You can sit outside, listen to music, and grab a drimk from other businesses. I will definitely go again!

Now, the real star: the gluten-free baked goods. We tried four different things, cookies included, and honestly? I was stunned. The flavor, the softness, the balance, nothing felt like a "gluten-free compromise." It tasted like the real deal, maybe even better. Not overly sweet, not dry, not crumbly, just genuinely delicious pastries that happen to be gluten-free. I don't know what magic they're working in that kitchen, but this is easily the best gluten-free bakery I've come across. A must-visit, no question.

Every piece in the store appears to be intentionally curated. Maaribu melds a home and gift shop with an in house café and bakery, creating an experience that's both relaxing and memorable. According to Mable, my server, Maaribu is a combination of the word Marfa (Texas town that has the Prada store) and Malibu. The brand is often described as combining Marfa's creative spirit, Malibu's laid back lifestyle, and clean Scandinavian design. The shop portion of Maaribu is beautifully styled, featuring furniture, décor, books, and gifts that have a modern flare. All the items are easy to peruse and get drawn in. The use of color is playful and engaging. Maaribu's key highlight is its café and bakery. The in house café has an assortment of coffee, wellness beverages, and dedicated gluten free baked goods. I bought a Rose honey latte, which was divine along with a multi-layer pastry. Mable said customers enjoy the quality and flavor of the pastries...scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites are frequent favorites. Importantly, the café is reported to be fully gluten free, which makes it a standout destination for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, without sacrificing taste or variety. The outdoor seating and patio area add to the charm, making Maaribu a great place to enjoy coffee and pastries on a nice Austin morning. After years in Austin, I finally discovered Maaribu--a modern, eclectic coffee shop and store. Every item is thoughtfully curated, blending a home-and-gift shop with a café and bakery for a relaxing experience. The name combines Marfa's creative vibe, Malibu's laid-back style, and Scandinavian design. The shop offers stylish furniture, décor, books, and gifts, all easy to browse and visually engaging. Maaribu's café is fully gluten-free, featuring quality pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites, as well as wellness drinks and coffee. Outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to enjoy coffee and pastries on a pleasant Austin morning. Wow...Maaribu!!!

Update: After eating probably 40+ chicken shawarma wraps from here, I wanted to do an update & also…read morecorrect a few things from my previous review. First of all, after trying tons of other places, it's official - Salam's has THE BEST chicken shawarma wrap. I am quite literally obsessed with them. It's the chicken, the saj/Markouk bread, the Toum - everything comes together perfectly. If I could eat them every day, I certainly would and sometimes do. Mondays & Tuesdays are sad days for me. lol I still try other places sometimes, but I'm often disappointed. Unfortunately I don't live close by & my town has ZERO middle eastern places to eat. So that's also why I place larger orders. 1. Correction: The meat actually IS cooked and shaved from a spit. But, it's not paper thin and dry like some places tend to be. It's also not chicken breast. It's either thigh or a combination of both. Whatever it is, it's working. It's the best chicken I've ever had. I've tried to recreate it at home 100 times, but it's just not gonna happen. 2. I don't think I've actually ordered from here 40 individual times, but when I do come, I order several wraps. I special order them whole with no sauce or pickles so I can put a couple in the fridge to save for the rest of the week. They don't get soggy that way and are easier to toss in the air fryer or oven later. Then I add sauce & pickles later along with pomegranate molasses. I always keep a bottle handy. (HEB has it) Salam's is always really great about granting those requests for me. 3. They have added their baklava to the online menu. Yay! **If I could add anything to the menu, it would be little cups of pomegranate molasses. Personally, it doesn't affect me because I always get my food to go & I keep a bottle at home. But, I hate that other people might be missing out on it. I mix it with their garlic sauce. When you give your wrap a little dip, then take a bite, it's like a few seconds of heaven on earth. Think: that popular video/meme/scene where John Hamm is in the club looking blissful. Yeah, it's like that.

Service was quick, took maybe 7 mins for it to be ready. Looking at others photos and the description (included) I feel what I received was not the same, just fries and falafel with tahini sauce. Missing out on all the pickled vegetables. While the falafel and tahini sauce was excellent I do not feel like this was worth $25. Note, did not have the option of rice vs fries. Not a huge deal, but would've preferred the rice. Fries were solid. And you can select no spice or spice. Recommend the falafel and going in person if trying out!

Great vibe, interesting menu, friendly but unobtrusive service... digging it. We started with some ricotta toast, a first for me, but man whenever I find this again... it will be ordered. Wow, what a great flavor with the fluffy ricotta, tangy fruit and glaze. This was a revelation for me. Honestly, right now cannot remember the name of my specific dish, but honestly it was like a brunchy carnitas platter, and I was here for it. Nothing like BYO tacos with a brunch spin. Really enjoy that the patio is fully covered, yes if it were to be a windy, rainy day may not work out but for the most part this was great. They have a take out window for orders as well.
