Joseph is very kind, and I've had good experience in the past, but on my most recent visit, my phone had stopped charging, and I asked him to replace the battery. When I returned, he had also replaced the screen, after finding that some part of the existing screen connector was damaged by my swollen battery. While he gave me a price break on the additional part and a free screen protector, I became disappointed in the replacement screen over time: first, it failed to auto-adjust the display brightness, and then several months later my Face ID stopped working altogether. When it finally developed a crack after a particular drop, I had Apple install an official replacement screen, and my phone is back to working like new. I would still trust Joseph with future battery replacements to extend the life of my precious iPhone 13 mini, but I'm a bit more skeptical now about something major like the screen. read more

I came here for a battery replacement on my MacBook Pro. Smart Fix was the only business that was open, answered the phone, had same day availability and the parts to replace my battery. Turnaround time was great, the storefront is very clean, and the owner is friendly. My laptop is fixed, and they booted up the laptop before and after to check system information and verify that the old battery was toast, and the new battery is functioning properly. I really can't find anything they could do differently, it was pretty much the perfect experience. The pricing is very fair, even though that's not my highest priority. I dropped my iPhone 13 and a car drove over it. My screen appeared to be held on by my screen protector. Joseph was honest and told me cost of worst case scenario and promised to do his best. He was able to repair the phone without replacing more expensive components. He was honest. He did not try to sell me a bunch of extras. Since I wanted to protect my phone, I did purchase a high quality screen protector and new heavy duty case in case of more accidents and my whole bill was $115. It would have been a lot less if I didn't buy a new case and tempered screen protector. I would totally come back again. I had originally posted this as a 5 star review when I came in a week ago with a cracked phone screen, but after a week and a revisit to this establishment I've decided to edit this. Having no prior issues with this before, after my phone screen had been replaced I was almost immediately having touch pad issues with my screen. My phone was registering that something was touching my screen when it was not, making it extremely hard to operate my phone. Today, it had completely stopped working, unable to even enter my phone. I brought it back to Joseph when my work availability allowed, a week later. My partner and I tried to show him videos we collected of the phone having issues, and Joseph wouldn't even look, was extremely dismissive and stated he knew exactly what the issue was. He proceeded to try and tell me the issue was my phone battery dying and tried to convince me I needed to replace it to stop having this issue. He tried scaring me by showing me burned/dead phone batteries of customers who refused the replacement, telling me I will lose all my data otherwise, was dismissive of anything I tried I tried to tell him about the issue and was consistently cutting me off when I tried to speak. He seemed aggravated I had any opinion on the phone at all. He apparently fixed whatever issue was going on in less than 5 minutes of opening my phone, and I've had ZERO of the same screen touch pad issues since then. Felt very much like he was informed of what was wrong before I returned and fixed it without needing to sell me the replacement battery + installation.
