Ever have one of those days where you get back from the shelter with a new best friend and a little anxiety as to what you will do with them while the family is at work or school? Yup, been there, until my wife found a daycare that was about to open. We have since entrusted Dottie to Jay and the Smart Dog Daycare staff since the day they opened. And everyday since she lines up at the backdoor, ready to head to daycare. We call them "Jay Days." What we love: She is always excited to see each staff member; they have cams so you can check in on your dog; they dedicate a "rest" or low activity time; they play games and practice basic training (tunnels, ramps, jumps, bacon bubbles, etc.); she gets amazing socialization; she sleeps and is relaxed in the nighttime; cleanliness of the facility; the nightly photo posts on social media; and the staff treats her like their dog. What (we think) she loves: The games; she's got buddies she see every week; cuddles from the staff; treats; bacon bubbles; lots of activity; lots of stimulation; Aubrey, Chelsea, Tita, and Jay; and getting away from her grumpy older brother. Long story short, if you need a place for Fido while you are away, this is the place. A great staff will love your pooch like their own for the hours you are away and the dog will be so busy with activity they will hardly know you are gone.

I have had my dog in their daycare for about 10 months now. The facility is clean and welcoming. My dog is clearly well taken care of and very tired at the end of each day.

Our two labradoodles have some serious issues with anxiety, adhd and brain damage. Their trainer…read moretold us that they are basically intellectually disabled. Sweet boys but very hard to work with. When I called the first time I tried to explain their issue because we have had groomers before ghost us and we need someone patient and who can be understanding. They said no worries and put on their record brain damaged and set us with Kara. Kara is the most patient and amazing person. She told us that she will do her best but not to expect perfect. Understandable! One couldn't stand in the tub, kept falling over when his feet got wet, both have tried walking off the table multiple times, one refused to walk anywhere, too scared of the dryer etc etc etc. and every time she has done an amazing job. I highly recommend Kara. She is so patient and is willing to groom them every time.

Even though my dog always hated his time here, I will still give 5 stars to a great group of ladies…read morewho were always kind and did their best to groom my little guy as I asked. He came out looking and smelling fresh. Pretty reasonable prices given my dog's amount of fur and fluff, and remained consistent during my 3 visits. I wish my dog and his groomer got along better, but I suppose he is just a grumpy old man who misses his old groomer in Colorado. It does get pretty loud and hectic in there, so I wouldn't recommend for anxious pups, but otherwise the groomers seem kind and patient so you should be a good hands.

We have been customers of Sam's Cats & Dogs Naturally for several years and have always found them…read moreto be an excellent place. We mostly frequent the Monroe store and have been to the (much smaller) Redmond Ridge store a few times, but this was the first time we tried the Everett location. This is a relatively new Evereett location, Sam's having moved here from a previous location in Everett that had been open several years. This is the old Trader Joe's space in Everett, and it works well for Sam's. It's also Sam's largest location. The selection is impressive, and the quality and range of items carried are perfect. They have some hard-to-find superb pet food brands, as well as others that are a step up from grocery store food but not on that top tier. This is intentional. I know because Sam told me they want to ensure everyone can feed, entertain, and care for their pets regardless of their means. (Did you know they distribute any returned food to food banks and that you can return food if your pet does not like it.) So, yes, I had the pleasure of finally meeting the Sam (Sam Wirsching) behind the name. If you've ever seen Sam's flyers for Santa photos for your pets at Christmas, Sam is Santa (and a perfect-looking one at that). He was extremely humble, friendly, and exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. I was impressed, and it made our family's loyalty to this place increase. Sam's isn't fancy, but it carries top-tier brands. Think of it as a much larger Mud Bay without any pretentiousness. And it has great customer service, even offering free delivery of orders. We love Sam's Cats & Dogs Naturally. Though we will continue to primarily frequent the Monroe store, we would frequent this location if it was the one closest to us. All three locations are great.

They wanted us to come back in two weeks later to do another test for $250, plus the basic fee for being seen. Some unexpected expenses came up and we were not able to take her back in. Then she started having accidents in the house again. They refuse to give her the longer dose of antibiotics without being retested, so now our pot dog just has to suffer and get worse because we are going through a hard time and can't afford all of the testing and fees. It's just not right. don't waste your time here, they don't care about your pests, they just want your money!

I called them right when they opened and they were able to get us in that day. Buster has be doing much better since then with the treatment that prescribed. A couple days ago, he jumped off the bed and he hurts in front paw. This morning, he didn't want to put any weight on it. So I called them first thing in the morning and they were able to get us in right away. Again, the doctor and staff were very friendly and showed my boy a lot of care and helpfulness. I definitely believe we've found Buster's primary care vet at Northwest Animal Care. Thank you to Dr. Lin and Dr. Compton for your compassion for animals. Their prices are reasonable and they also work with you to determine which service should be priority. I appreciate that.
