The first time I dropped off my dog, my wife was pretty upset since she was pregnant, and it was the first time leaving our dog, but Julie didn't seem to care, she just wanted to get the dog inside the cage and get rid of us. We came back and the dog was ok, so no problems there. Last week, I had reservations for our dog to stay there again. Unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to change our plans. Guess what? Julie was pissed off! She tried to charge me for the whole weekend, and didn't care what was going on with our family situation. When I refused to pay, she blacklisted my dog and hung up the phone on me. Fortunately for us, there is more than one kennel in the Seattle metro area! I'm not exactly sure how dogs are treated when people aren't looking, but seeing how this woman reacts to life, I wouldn't leave my dog here again. Think twice before leaving your pet friends here.

Re: the guy whose dog was sent home for all-night barking on Christmas: I've known Lucky Dog's owners for years, and if they sent your dog home it was for a very good reason. First, it's located just a few miles from where I live in Monroe/Snohomish. Second their charge to house 2 dogs was far more reasonable than any other places in the area. Lastly, Melissa was responsive to all my calls and emails. Their business is there home so someone is there pretty much all the time. They separate the big dogs from the little ones and everyone has their own place. Plenty of room in the backyard to run and play and they have a pool. I highly recommend Lucky Dog Resort.

No hoops, no delays, no nonsense -- just a professional who truly loves what she does. Her camp is clean, safe, warm, and personal. I received morning photos, evening videos, and updates that showed Tuffy comfortable, happy, and completely relaxed. The environment is exactly what you hope for when you want your dog treated with real attention and care. The highlight for me? No cages. Dogs are allowed to be dogs in a home-style setting with constant supervision and real human interaction. Our new puppy, Whisky, is 6 months old and we had to leave her for 12 days. Whisky has extreme attachment issues to me and also a lot of energy. Whisky loved being at Ryan's home and I felt at ease while on vacation. Ryan has acres for the dogs to play and they sleep in Ryan's home. No kennels and there is someone always home with the dogs. I would give Ryan's place 10 stars if I could.
