I am so grateful to have found Rebecca and Just Peachy Pet Care! Our pup Stan absolutely loves going there for his overnights. He gets super excited in the car when he realizes where he is and pretty much forgets who we are when we drop him off haha! He has the best time and my mind is put at ease knowing the he is being loved and well taken care of by Rebecca and her team. She is a great communicator, texting any questions and sends cute pics while Stan is with them and they even sang him Happy Birthday while he was there for his first birthday this month :) Rebecca is like a ray of light and her love for the dogs she has in her care is clear and evident.

This was our first time boarding our dog Jocko, and Rebecca at Just Peachy Pet Care was absolutely wonderful! She sent us pictures and updates every day, which really set our minds at ease. We were especially worried about his anxiety and how he might do around other dogs, since he isn't neutered and our options for boarding were limited. Rebecca was so reassuring, communicative, and willing to work with us on solutions for all of our special circumstances. Thanks to her, we felt completely confident he was safe and happy. To top it off, she gave him a bath and trimmed his nails the day we picked him up, which was so convenient. We will definitely be using Rebecca and Just Peachy Pet Care for future boarding, and I highly recommend them!

Zapata day one. Looking a bit uncertain.

Having an adopted, slightly neurotic, and very much single-owner dog makes for a difficult time finding the right pet sitter. in fact, I have owned Zap for going on 5 years and just now took my first vacation. His separation anxiety has flummoxed me! But upon contacting Rebecca, owner of Just Peachy, I felt I had found the right sort of care for my mutt. She assured me that she would keep Zap in her personal care, after hearing out all his barking, jerking, herding behavior, I felt reassured that she knew this boy was insecure and would thrive best with one on one care. I also read her reviews that made me recognize other owners were happy about her sitting style. So, I chose her business to watch Zap 3 weeks. Rebecca gave me reassurances that she would give Zap a homelike experience. But her quality and depth of dog knowledge is not experienced until you get there. Rebecca asked that I text and then came out. She asked me to hand over the bag and then his leash. She talked to me about 5 minutes before indicating I should turn around and go. She had Zap watch me leave all the way to my car leaving their premises. I thought these details were very much working in Zap's favor. Rebecca sent me updates almost daily. I began missing Zapata, and those pics and descriptions really helped me let go and enjoy myself. She did keep Zap separate but on day 5 decided he was ready to play with one dog which was low key and fun loving. After that, Zap was often photographed playing with his new friend. The area in which they play is grassy and there is even a stream! They had a lot of fun together and Zap looked so well adjusted I thought she'd put a spell on him! Rebecca administered a pill to Zap daily. She did so at same time each day. She gave him his treats in same way that I asked, which involved a game Zap and I play. She brushed him and he looked beautiful when I picked him up. He was very excited to see me! I found it very good that she asked me to text in advance of my arrival, and then text when I got there. She and Zap came through the door, he in his own collar and leash. She told me when she put on his leash he began wiggling all over With excitement. This ritual was the reverse of entering her program and made complete sense. She really understands dogs! I will use Rebecca again, most certainly! zap adjusted quickly to our old routines. He displayed no negative feelings or sense of confusion or fear. He looks great! I am so happy to recommend Rebecca's service. She is a godsend for owners of dogs with separation anxiety.

I left my three Chi hua hua mix babies. I was assured of many thing's when I dropped them off, and felt very confident they would be well cared for and the kennel would call me if there were issues. Two of three of my tiny dogs lost more than a pound in a week. when I called to check they said they were eating the wet food but not the kibble- the problem is their main food is wet food and they were only offered 2/3 of what I asked to be fed, and they were given none of their home made chicken jerky I left for them. The two older dogs seem traumatized and I am having trouble getting them to eat at home now. my 15-1/2 year old female was wet and freezing when picked up, a leash was stuffed inside a harness on my tiniest dog, collars and harnesses on the wrong dogs. my feelings are that I was told what they thought I wanted to hear, then they more or less ignored my requests. Larger dogs seem to be fine there, but if your dog is small, especially if older, this may not be the place to board them. A ten pound dog cannot afford to lose over a pound in one week.

We wanted to nip this medium/large dog "trauma" out of Luna's system, so she can feel safe and enjoy the company of other dogs. When we came to julya with this issue, (in the midst of a last minute trip) julya was assuring and patient. She had given Luna a slow introduction to the rest of the pack and allowed Luna to process the surrounding changes at her pace. After 3 nights with Julya, Luna came home and slept for a whole day. She was happy and tired as could be (which is always a great sign). However, the more amazing thing is the changes in her at the dog park. I could see her hesitation at first but by the second time we brought her to the dog park, she was playing with labradors, pitbulls, Great Danes and chihuahuas alike. If you're having the same issue with your dog, or if your dog has gone through an incident like mine, meeting the right people & pack does wonders.

She was filthy, her bedding looked like it was left outside for the 2 weeks! Maybe she was too! I am so upset that I left my dog there, after having to pay $1050, and now vet costs, I cannot recommend this place. We have been coming here for a few years, never again! Owners and facility should be shut down and inspected. The filth of the dog bed alone was alarming, much less my dog having a skin infection!

At the same time, you want to shout from the rooftops how INCREDIBLE it is! We couldn't fathom the idea of our dog staying locked up in a kennel all day, and like a previous reviewer we were lucky enough to find Joe through a recommendation of another boarding facility. He is truly a dog lover and it shows. He spends time with the dogs like they're family - exactly what any dog owner would hope for when they're away. His place is beautiful, peaceful and honestly a dog heaven. It's the total opposite of a traditional kennel where the dogs look like they're so bored they're going crazy. We are so glad we took their recommendation because Joe, the owner of the facility, was absolutely phenomenal. Joe also texted us letting us know he took our pup on a one-on-one walk down by the river so she could warm up to him! He sent us several pictures of our dog while we were away and we were so relieved that she was being taking care of by a caring individual who simply loves dogs. The hours are great and Joe charges per over-night, so we were able to pick up our pup at 7:30 at night as soon as we flew in without having to pay an extra fee. It is worth acknowledging that Nitro makes use of prong and e-collars in their training method, and if you have concerns about these tools, I am happy to report there's nothing to be concerned about. I have witnessed my dog gaze up lovingly and with attention at Steve while under his guidance on a prong collar; you could feel the genuine connection between trainer and dog. This kind of experience was enough for me to put any concerns I had aside and welcome the training. It's also worth noting that Steve himself can be a bit of a personality, unafraid to speak his mind and get into a range of discussion topics. Underneath the personality is a genuine human, who wants nothing more than for dogs to receive the training that will most help them get along inside the home and the world. He…read morebecame critically ill, resulting in over $5,000 in emergency vet bills and little improvement. We swore to no more dogs but then we saw Mia, a 9-month-old, Doberman puppy found on the street in LA by animal control. Her leg was degloved, necrotic and filled with maggots. She was intercepted by a rehab, received amputation and much needed medical attention. We followed her story for a couple months, hoping she would find a home, but she didn't. Somehow, we caved, did the unthinkable and flew to Los Angeles, scooping her up and driving her back to Washington in a rental car mid-winter. She was terrified, ferrell and full of dominant "spicy" energy so we booked an appointment with one of the top positive-treat-based trainers with reactive-dog expertise in the state, to help us introduce our dogs upon return and it was a disaster. Our senior exploded in pure terror, barking and lunging. She tossed treats; they ignored her. Twenty minutes in she shrugged, said she had "no magic wand," sent us home and refunded half our session. 2 days later she emailed us suggesting we rehome Mia to a foster "for our safety" which felt like a slap in the face. The very next day we thoroughly researched every trainer in Washington, and Nitro K-9 stood head and shoulders above the rest. I emailed Steve and he called back within minutes with genuine understanding, zero judgment, got us in within days and made our 2-hour commute in separate cars well worth it. In the first ten minutes Steve had both dogs calmly obeying, walking together on leash, and listening! He instantly saw what the other trainer missed: our senior was fear-reactive, meaning he was scared. Steve and North have taught us clear communication and connection with our dogs. They've taught us how to properly command quick correction and full attention using high-quality prong collars, like a mother dog's natural nips. No pain, no fear, no endless treats or bribes, just genuine praise, affection, and connection, the way real bonds and parenting work. He showed us how to step into calm leadership so our dogs could relax, trust, and stop carrying the burden themselves. He stayed by our side through every panicked text, every "what now?" and our dog's transformation is nothing short of miraculous. Mia is happy, confident and loves her big brother now. Our senior knows his role and is playing with her like a puppy again. They love each other and actually enjoy being together! If you're a reactive, rescue, fearful or high-drive dog parent, have been let down by "treat-motivated training" and have avoided prong collars because of the myths, you have been misinformed like we were. Don't give up, stop scrolling and call Nitro, I promise you won't regret it! IWe are forever grateful!
