He gave me directions to his shop and it turned out it was only 2 miles away. Extremely knowledgeable! I don't think there's anything about a small boat motor that Mike does not know. Prices are reasonable, and he got the boat back to me one day before he said he would. In fact it was $100 cheaper than he had estimated. I will definitely use Mike again and recommend everyone give him a try!

Found MNC outboards on Craigslist which stated they specialized in older smaller outboards. Called their # and spoke to the owner, Mike. He was personable as well as knowledgeable and assured me he could get it fixed and running good so I took it to his shop (located behind his house). True to his word he called me within 2 days and told me it was fixed and running like new. The cost of the repair was cheaper than other estimates I had received so I was pleased. Mike is a great guy and answered all of my questions about engine maintenance. I had had not so good experiences with Mobile marine mechanics in my area who couldn`t complete work on my motor due to the age and unavailability of parts. I brought it to Mike at MNC outboards, even though he was out of my area, because he was familiar with older and smaller outboards. I`m glad I did as the engine run better than it has in the past 10 years. He will be my "Go To" mechanic in the future as he has earned my trust. Fast service, reasonable price and fair dealing is what I was looking for and found it with Mike. I was very pleased and made a new friend to.

I've discussed the approach/fixes and prices with a mechanic/shop supervisor in my family, and he's always agreed with the plan that John at Q Reparis has come up with, and agreed that the pricing is fair. Q repairs is a smaller shop, and doesn't keep a large inventory of parts on hand. I think this helps him keep prices down. In spite of this, he has never had any major delays in sourcing parts, and fixes have been faster than my experiences at Toyota dealerships when I've gone there. If you're anxious when choosing a mechanic, like I was, this is the shop I would recommend. He's honest, he's fair and upfront on pricing, and makes repairs much less stressful than other locations. When there's a car problem, it's always stressful. Having a trustworthy mechanic in town like Q Repairs makes car problems much less anxiety-provoking.

I can't say enough about his character and the way the shop is run.

We the boat was dirty and full of leaves . He told me they don't clean them up until they're sold. So ,I figured that if I bought it, they would have cleaned it. Didn't happen! When I picked it up it was still filthy so I guess that should have been my first red flag. Anyway, I was also assured that it had went through a complete function test and service which I unfortunately found out to late was also not done. The first clue that I had been had was the gigging platform lights. I hooked up my generator to them and 1 out of 8 was out . Within 5 minutes, I heard a sizzle and arc sound and all the lights went out. One of the lights shorted out and caused them all to go out. Got that fixed at an out of pocket cost of $300. I also found out that the nav light don't work either. I used the boat 3x and the fourth time, it wouldn't start. Just a clicking sound coming from under the cowling. Come to find out, the starter is toast . Im in the process of replacing that myself because I don't want to spend $800 for a mechanic to do it. Waiting on the part right non. Another complaint is about is the fact I was lied to about a complete service being done to the engine. The oil filter was marked with a permanent marker. The date read 8/2024. I bought the boat in late 2025 so, I was lied to about that as well. Im, in the process of changing the oil myself as well. Im at least handy enough to do minimal maintenance or Id be over $1000 in the hole for deceptive sales practices. My suggestion is to stay clear of this business. There are plenty of boat dealers out there that are hopefully more honest than Millers.
