We had a wonderful experience when purchasing our new Avenue 32RLS on 4/1/2026. The sales process with Griffin Horvath, onboarding/walk through, financing process and after-care with Wendy Scott was exceptional. The deal we brokered with Griffin at the RV show was honored and handled very well at the dealership. All went as promised. We felt very cared for during the onboarding and all the staff was so helpful including moving our king mattress from old camper to new camper. Wendy Scott gets 5 stars for her professional handling of the camper registration details with the Massachusetts DMV - she was diligent, provided us guidance and followed through as we navigated challenges at the MA DMV. I highly recommend this dealership and the Alliance product. read more

Believe the one star rating! They Don't want to sell parts! This business was really difficult to deal with the first parts person I talk to you had no idea what was going on and wanted to transfer me on to Kris! Once I got Chris gave all the info, now keep in mind. I tried to go there and get parts as soon as Cris heard that I had a Cummins motor they immediately didn't want to help me anymore! he was like Cummings is next Door. Im busy you should go right to them! Thanks for the great customer support! I don't understand your business model. BUT YOU'VE MADE ME NOT WANT TO RETURN! Mission Accom Best Regards, I see why you have 2 stars. Response from Corporate was very sterile and generic. Auto Reply? Email here help us there. Funny thats not my Job its yours, to train your staff to HELP the customer. Just My opinion! But reply is NOT giving by me the warm fuzzies! read more

My parents & I had great time at General RV thanks to Jeff Angiulli. The place is HUGE and we were a bit intimidated (& clueless) when we got there. But Jeff made us so comfortable it was like shopping with a knowledgable friend with the patience of a Saint! He was so professional & explained our different options and why the worked for us. He genuinely cared about helping us find the right RV, rather than simply making a sale and that kind of customer service is hard to find these days! I would absolutely recommend asking for Jeff if you are in the market for an RV. He made what could have been an overwhelming experience, easy, comfortable and even fun! THANKS JEFF! read more

Great at selling their Rv's but absolutely HORRIBLE at after sales issues and service. We bought a new Rv, took on first trip two days after delivery and cabin battery was dead. Found out it was an old battery installed at dealership, leaking fluid. Never should have been in a new Rv. We had to purchase a new one so we could get Power to the cabin. The service or help with issues is NONEXISTENT. On our way back from our first trip, that was less than 20 miles from our home, the service engine soon light came on, now we have another issues and haven't had the Rv for a week. Again, dealership is no help, passing the buck and basically told us we were on our own trying to fix it. People, do your research and due diligence. Don't make the same mistake we made. Buy from a dealer who cares and services after the sale. read more

Yup no wonder you have mainly one star reviews , I would not even give it a one star . My husband called today to look into a class A motorhome and honestly as long as you have Robert there you will lose business , you won't be getting ours ! We have cash by the end of the month and my husband told him what we were looking for and the price , and he rudely said Oh we don't have any of those which is a lie then told him our price range and Robert very rudely again said you ain't going to find anything in that's price range read more

General RV Ocala's team are truly on top of all aspects of purchasing and service. DWIGHT, my sales pro, was absolutely fantastic with information about all the units on the lot, no pressure and understood the transition from sales pro to trusted advisor. He prioritized my needs and wants. Then i met DAN, the sales manager, who proceeded to build long term loyalty. The no pressure, simplified process redefines the dealership experience! I spent the nt there getting a drive away punchlist together beforei took the unit home. The service guys, lead by BRIAN, we're Johnny on the spot on the small but important to me "punch list" and got me out on the same day. That included my add on's like slide out awning and a/c vent covers. From the front desk to sales to finance to parts and service this team has been Excellent and Professional! Above and beyond for sure! read more

Just needed to update this, the following morning both the salesman and the manager contacted us and apologized. My partner convinced me to go back and talk to them. We did go back and ended up getting a very good deal from them. Everything went smooth and we are happy with the deal. I still have heartburn over the initial problems, but definitely needed to update Yelp. read more

We purchased our RV here, our sales rep James was excellent the commercial manager was excellent too Chuck.

We continue to deal with the service department on warranty repairs. Run don't walk away from "America's largest family-owned dealer since 1962". We continue to deal with warranty issues. This is now over a year past the purchase date and months of no action on their end. We are now waiting on parts and service since our last visit on April 13, 2026. At that time, we were assigned a new service rep. Our previous rep appeared to be mad at US. :0 With over half a dozen messages since February 16th and no return phone calls .....there seems to be a problem with America's largest RV dealer. When I talked to the service manager, and told him that the mailbox is full, and our rep doesn't seem to be at her desk, he said that's how things work, he is very rarely at his desk. How are phone calls answered, appointments set up, and problems solved if the people you need to talk to aren't at their desk? You don't need the largest dealer .....look for the little local guy. He needs your business, and you will be treated accordingly. We have had experiences with both. This particular "big business" has not been a positive experience, and I would not recommend. read more

The customer service from General RV has been the worst we have ever experienced in the RV world in 40 years. We purchased a new 2026 Class C RV at the Tampa show and they assigned us a new unit on their lot in Ocala. We loved it but later discovered there is suspension issue that is evident to even a novice RV'er! The unit is not level, leans drastically to the driver side and is a nightmare to drive! It is all over the road! We have had every type of RV over four decades and even traveled to Alaska and back from Key West, Florida with a Class A! We can't get anyone to help us. We have been through a dozen people who call themselves managers. Please note that we both have held senior executive positions and run large companies where customer service is key. We get nothing but a run around since January! We have begged for help thinking we would win someone over that would want to help. No one!!!! Our customer documented conversation file is pages long at this point! They acknowledge there is an issue, however, no one is willing to take the helm to help us! We have methodically went up the chain to the President and COB trying to give every level a chance to resolve. But we just keep getting pushed back (through AI direction I'm sure) to the local store that is clearly not capable of solving the problem and thinks if they ignore us long enough we will go away. That will not happen. Please understand that we love our new RV and just want it fixed!!! It's really that simple! But do not buy an RV from this dealer! You will regret it! They do not care about you after the sale is made. Next steps coming! Signed - The Costello's (well known at this point but we still don't matter) read more

Absolutely do not recommend. They do not fulfill their end of the deal. Warranty parts never ordered and never returned emails or phone calls. I wouldn't even give it a one star read more

Bad experience. Purchased a new coach that has several issues (fleetwod) Don't even have it for two weeks and now on our second time of more than 2 days waiting (Ocala, Fl.) Service advisors do not relay to the techs accurately causing more delays. They have no parts and have to order them requiring a return and more waiting (we are full time, so we have to wait at the shop) Very sorry we have purchased a Fleetwood and secondly, purchased from a place where the service department doesn't really have it together. Now the Aquahot is leaking, we can't use the diesel side for heat, and, of course, they have to order the parts. read more

Not a great experience at the Ocala store. I have an RV that needs some minor bodywork. I called to come in for an estimate. When I got there, they informed me they going to charge me over $150 just to do the estimate. No work done to the coach, just $150 to tell me it is going to cost me $1500 when I have the work done. Not sure if this is a new practice in the industry but I left and probably won't go back. Come on General, is this the way you want to treat your customers? read more

I had a very good experience purchasing from General RV in Ocala. I ordered an Alliance Delta 252RL during the Ocala RV show in March. Tyler (from Indiana) was my sales rep and kept me informed as we waited for it to be built and delivered to the dealer. Many thanks to him for customer awareness and following up. Once the unit arrived the dealership was patient with me and worked with my third party inspector. There were two options I had the dealer install and unfortunately when I went to pick it up on 6/18 it still needed the Maxair vent fan installed. I'm pretty easy going and told them I would just come back the next day. I arrived at 9am on 6/19 and was greeted warmly by everyone I met. Robert handled the walk through, explained everything and answered all my questions. I knocked off a star (almost 2) because the finance gentleman with the goatee was insultingly aggressive in trying to upsell all of the additional warranty packages. He seemed to be angry with me for saying no and I felt he considered me stupid for that. Like I said, I'm easy going but I almost walked out of his office. I won't mention his name but if anyone at General reads these reviews they can figure out who he is. I'm happy with my purchase and with General. I wasn't going to let one jerk ruin my experience. read more

They are quick to get you into your RV and good luck after that. We purchased a new RV and had a protective coating applied per their recommendation. It is back for second time. This time was suppose to be back in a weeks time. Fast forward 3 weeks later. Can not get anyone to call us back. The receptionist knows us by the sound of our voice but keep leaving messages for service and no calls. Nathan in service will not call us back and just want our camper at this point. read more

Drove an hour to look at a specific toy hauler, after the "check in process" got on the golf cart only to find out they did not have the Valor that we came to look at even though it was on their website. Obviously from looking at their other reviews, this place is poorly managed, stay away. read more

Have a higher up management or CEO call you back when there is a real issue with there facilities and selling bad camper. That I am dealing with since June 2024 and still not fix right read more

Buyer beware of General RV of Ocala. For a family own business like they claim to be. You can't talk to the owner at all or everybody in corporate. You tell them a payment you don't want to go over but they do want they want. Pick out a camper and they ship it there and it was the wrong one. They say oh well. We know it was wrong because of different features. This camper has major issue and could have hurt someone and caught on fire. Awning fell not once but twice and the electric went out and shower leak into bedroom and tilt bed fell apart the list goes on and on. Brought it June of 024 and they had it for 4 months and manager call me up in October of 2024 said they are not working on it no more come get it. Fail three inspections and to this day still dealing with Forest River. The camper been leaking all this time and now have water demage. There workers made the camper worse and some of the stuff can't be fix. Took stuff out of camper never ask or gave permission. Broke my TV and bracket and the end of the bunkbed corner. They did replace the TV but that it. Smell sewer because they couldn't put in a toilet right. List goes on and on. Apparently they have new management because he call me because he saw my filed. Because the old management would not answer any Call or email and you call corporate there camp thing and they say can't talk to nobody higher. The new management call me on Monday October 13 and i told him I wanted to talk to someone higher and he said he would escalate it but have not heard from nobody. I have all the pictures and videos. read more

These people do not return calls. Once they get your money they are done with you. Repairs take forever. I do have to say that the receptionist is very kind and does all she can to get answers. I'm sorry that she has to work in such a toxic environment. If you do end up buying an RV from these crooked people don't get the extended warranty on anything from Gen RV. When you want to cancel you cannot get a call back from them. No matter how good they say the warrant is buy on elsewhere. I'm owed a lot of money and they won't call me back. On the stars for rating, if there were negative stars it would be a negative 10. read more

I don't even know where to begin, this has been by far the worst experience and dishonest ethics I've ever encountered with a company. I'm beyond frustrated after numerous lies to the face straight from Frank the site manager whom also lied to the manufacture on the issues we're encountering with the unit they sold us. We spent Thanksgiving without water sitting in their lot due to the structure shifting when they moved it along with the the pump blowing and countless leaks in the tank. Their solution is silicone everything and "you're good to go!" This company seems to have a history of fraudulent transactions and I pray this review will save any potential customers from going through the same financial disaster this establishment will cause. read more

Again my wife and I attempted to use General RV to purchase a new recreational vehicle in spite of our past experience. Thankfully we avoided another disaster as they attempted to sell us a beautiful Brinkley 3100z with a few issues. What bothered my wife and I was not the fact the Brinkley had an issue but that it was presented to us in this manner and not a care was given about it. Upon contacting Brinkley we were more than happy to see their customer service and warranty department DID care and gave us insight into how the presentation should've went. During the walk though (which they charge an arm and a leg for) there was sawdust on the floor still, AC vent component was missing, bedroom slide-out went in and out at an angle, and the shower was inoperable...later we discovered the shower was fine, the demonstrator did not know how to properly turn the shower on. read more

General RV Ocala. Cannot even give them a 1 But you have to put something in there. Should be 0 option. This company is horrible to deal with. Nothing but lies and BS. They need to be shut down. All they want is your money then the hell with you afterwards. The service department is not even good enough to be considered sub par. They don't care and are always using the excuse they are short staffed. Well if they treat the workers like they treat the customers, it's no wonder. read more

The service coordinator Nicole was very helpful, Maria in the parts/service department was great as well helping (she helped us get to Cracker Barrel for lunch!!) My new 5th wheel has been at General RV in Ocala for over two months for a repair to a broken weld in the wall by the super slide. General RV made the repair that they with Heartland to make the needed weld/repair. We went out west for a three month camping trip and around 1 month after the original repair was made, it opped out again while we were in Salt Lake City. Now, Ocala General RV and Heartland are into a urinating contest on who should make the re-repair and of course, I as the consumer are caught in the middle. Jodi is our service rep but she can only do so much. I spoke with the Ops Manager and the Asst Service Manager and all I hear is excuse after excuse. My expectations can not get any lower unless I grab a shovel and start gigging deeper to get even lower. My advise is to not buy from General RV nor buy a Heartland product. Do not take ANYTHING there for service. What is really sad is that I have never been so frustrated to have to write stuff on Social Media. read more
