But my recent experience for the repair of a Stihl Kombi hedge trimmer was vert disappointing. On my call ahead and at drop off, there was no mention of needing the head unit to service. I run several other attachments, so I needed it to be in service while I waited for repair (quoted as 2 weeks). The next day I received a text that a Stihl dealer had no way of attaching it to a unit. So, I made my second trip there in 3 days to deliver the unit. I received a text to pick up the equipment and my request for blade sharpening was not "noted on the ticket" or performed. And to top it off, upon attaching the unit at home, the head is on almost backwards. I reached out to the general manager via text, Mr. Mack McCorkle, and there was no accountability taken, instead telling me that I did not review my service ticket & the head was brought in that way. At the end of the day, the head adjustment is simple, but what's really disappointing is the lack of accountability or customer focused service and offers to rectify the situation. I will certainly look elsewhere for my next service and purchase.

First go around was with OAK CITY CABINETS, a preferred partner of Homestead Building Company. These were dark stained maple cabinet doors and drawer fronts made primarily out of MDF. They looked awful and felt flimsy. The builder explicitly stated they stand behind their quality. The second go around was installed by CORNERSTONE KITCHEN AND BATH. They are SOLID CORE rift oak cabinets doors and drawer fronts courtesy of the homeowners, 3 months after moving in to their new build. You be the judge....which cabinet company hit it out of the park?

I decided to go with them also due to the fact that they made me feel as if they wanted to deliver a great product. From the first time they came out and did a pre-con, to the quote process, design and install they did more than I could've imagined. The final product was nothing short of amazing. This was the smoothest experience we've ever had getting new countertops. We even had a bit of a difficult kitchen because they had to remove old granite on a number of walls. We reached out to Carolina Countertops the first week of December with the long-shot aspiration of upgrading our kitchen before Christmas. Josh was quick to respond, and by that Friday he was consulting with us at our house. Even with a snowstorm that weekend, he was able to meet us at the showroom the following Tuesday to pick our stone. One week later, the countertops were completely installed! The plumber was out that same day, then the backsplash was installed the following two days. From the time we reached out to Carolina Countertops to the final installation, the whole process took fewer than three weeks. And again, there was a snowstorm in the middle :) On top of that, Josh was a complete joy to work with. He was consultative, actually listened to our requests, and he offered up good suggestions when we got stuck. Nothing seemed like a problem for him, and in the end he proved his team's competence by expertly working through every hurdle that came their way. We can't recommend Carolina Countertops enough. Our friends and family have been thrilled with our new kitchen and powder room, and we were excited to have them completely done with a few days to spare before the holidays.

They were out Quickly to do measurements, and since we were providing a larger Utility tub, and extra room on the side and back, took with them to make sure to get correct 'drop in' opening. We had pushed out the cabinet to match front of washer, and cabinet filler to allow for door opening. They had it ready about a week later per our discussion! Showers were installed in Jan 2019. Fast forward Aug. 2023 my shower floor is cracked in 2 places. Called talked to Candice, she first told me that they had never worked with my builder. When I gave her the address she said it was before she started working there and that my shower was under manufacture warranty. She would schedule to send a tech out the following Monday to take pics and start the warranty process. She called me 35 mins later and said that it only had a 2 year warranty. I called her back she gave the manufacture, I called the manufacture they told me that the shower does have a lifetime warranty. After reading other reviews most everyone had the same experience with Candice as well.
