We had an unusual situation. My oven was preheating and just turned off. There was no power. Alex came out and looked the situation over and decided to pull the oven out to see if the connections were secure. As he was doing that, literally jiggling at the oven to get it to slide out, the power turned back on, just like magic! We tried to slide the oven out to check the connections but the way it was installed did not allow us to do that. We had an issue with our freezer. It was icing up making it difficult to close. It was also leaking ice/water on the floor. I contacted Smart Appliance Fix through Yelp, and they replied within 30 minutes. They said they could have a technician come out the following day for a $60 service call, and that $60 would be deducted from any work done. The next day Alex came over and determined quickly that my drain pan was clogged. He also suggested that I replace a couple of gaskets that were clearly damaged. He said that the gaskets were not the problem, but I may want to replace them. I appreciated his honesty and the following day he had the parts to do the job. Alex wore booties and was clean, polite and respectful. Watching him do the work, I realized he was doing more than just replacing parts.
