Moist and creative cupcakes! I am never disappointed. I love how they have different flavors each day!

I was super excited that Smallcakes opened in Spring, and I was even more excited that this location has ice cream too! Smallcakes makes delicious light and fluffy cupcakes that taste amazing. This last trip I tried a new cupcake, I wish I new the flavor of it. I think it was like a buttercookie cupcake that had a pretty big cookie ontop. It was amazing! Omg this is my favorite ice cream spot ! Their vanilla bean has the perfect consistency and flavor . My bf and I have been here 4 times in the past two weeks ... ( not good when you are seriously looking to diet ) but it is addicting ! They let us split a "Cake Smash" in two separate cups . This is were they smash a cupcake of your choice with their homemade ice cream . Their red velvet cupcake seems to be the most popular cupcake , which is what we get every time as well . They also feature two new cupcake flavors daily along with their staple cupcake flavors, which are baked fresh daily . One word : YUMMM! read more

When you travel out in the rain to go get a cupcake because you really love them...at its only 8:10pm...and the hours posted are 9:30pm and you pull up and they're closed! WTH? So disappointed. Then call the Woodlands location and they tell me they won't have any cupcakes ready for 30min. So I make the trek up there....only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes until they have cupcakes ready! Again...WTH? For the trouble, it's just not worth it! read more

This is my 2nd time visiting this delicious cupcake establishment. The cupcakes are moist and the icing is sooooo smooth. The flavors match the description of each item. Customer service has always been on point. I will definitely be back in the near future. read more

Oh my, this place is sinful! Every cupcake I've had here has been great. The cake takes real. My favorites are the dolce leche and strawberry. Yum yum yum! I like them better than gigi, crave, and sprinkles. This is definitely my dessert shop here in Spring. I'm so happy they are so close. This place makes me smile from ear to ear. Long story short.. because of covid 19 my future daughter-in-law wedding was cancelled.. with the date being significant, we decided to do a small ceremony. I wanted her to have a cake of some kind for this impromptu day and a year from now.. so I called small cakes on a Thursday, to make 12 cupcakes (and alter the recipe to brides liking) for a Sunday and boom! Don't order cakes from this location. We ordered a cake for a birthday party and when we showed up to pick it up, no cake! The owner was no help and just said to call their baker. Very frustrating! read more

Smallcakes spring is the best cupcake cookie and brownie place in the world. Brownies are so good. Their ice cream is their shakes there different flavors on a daily basis will just keep you amazed. We found this bakery on yelp. After reading the reviews, we decided to stop in. The first thing I love about this bakery is the hours. Most bakeries close after 7 pm. This one stays open past 9pm. I love the location. It's in a shopping center with Specs (cupcakes and shots anyone?! J/K), Chipotle, Dickeys BBQ. It's conveniently located to hwy 45. Walking in, it's painted in a pretty pink and has a Paris theme. Super cute!! Now the actual cupcakes? Goodness in ya mouth. I had the lemon drop cupcake, my husband had the peanut butter cupcake and our little one had the birthday cupcake with a small vanilla ice cream. Oh yes, they also sell ice cream!! The cupcakes were moist (I hate that word!!). The icing wasn't too sweet but instead was the perfect compliment to the cake. It was pure perfection and bliss!! The lemon drop cupcake had actual lemon filling. Imagine that! Not too much but just enough to give you a little bit of tart to catch up with the sweetness. I'm so happy we found this place. Stopped in here because our local bakery happened to be closed and we were craving something sweet. While the photos online make this place look wonderful, they are deceptive. The location itself actually smelled an awful lot like cleaning products which was off putting given this is a bakery. The assortment of flavors is surprisingly basic. For a specialty dessert store, you'd think they'd have some originality in terms of flavor options. The cupcakes themselves weren't good at all. If anything, it was so similar to boxed cupcake mix that I'm honestly disappointed I paid almost $4 for each. We purchased them and immediately wished we could return them. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed by so many shining reviews of this establishment online when that was far from my experience in store. We definitely will not be returning. If you don't have high standards for dessert and are completely satisfied with box mix recipe cupcakes, this is your place. read more

Cupcakes are delicious! Not overly sweet and very moist. They're also quite large. Definitely going back.

Finally decided to stop in and try these cupcakes out. I got a bit excited when I noticed several people in the store buying cupcakes, but sadly I was a little disappointed. I purchased 5: strawberry, blueberry cheesecake, lemon drop, pecan pie, and chocolate sundae. We tried parts of each, except the sundae; they tasted like regular old boxed cake mixes. Don't get me wrong, they were moist and tasted freshly baked, but they didn't have that yummmmmmm factor. The frosting wasn't bakery quality, it tasted like straight up sugar and oil. Plus, they were hella expensive! Don't get me wrong I'll pay for a bombass cupcake, but these cupcakes were just, "eh". read more

Before I entered the cupcake shop, I saw a blackboard with an advertised new cupcake. It boasted a Nutella Nella type cupcake that didn't fall into the traditional cupcakes they usually sell. I was on the fence about buying because I didn't know how it tasted, so when I went insude I asked the cashier, Kristha if I could have a sample of the Nutella cupcake that Smallcakes so proudly advertised on the outside of their shop. She told me Small Cakes ran completely out of samples. I looked up and over at the 3 tier rack of Nutella cupcakes as well as batch of the same Nutella cupcakes that had been laid to rest on the counter, clearly waiting to replace the Nutella cupcakes on the tiers. My confusion is, why would your shop promote a new cupcake that people clearly haven't tasted before and not offer customers a sample before they buy. As a result, I didn't order the cupcake but order a cupcake I was already familiar with. Small ales would rather have customers blindly order cupcakes they have no idea what they taste like then spare 1 spoonful of a staple and Oder a dozen because it was a hit. I would like to speak to a management representative to figure out if this is standard company policy. read more

The cupcake I tried tasted pretty good however the store had a foul smell. It was a very unpleasant odor. It did not smell like you were in a bakery or cake store. I hope whatever is causing this store to stink they fix it fast. For this reason I will not go back. read more

Yesterday a friend and I entered Small Cakes for the first time. We were amazed by all the selections. There was one couple sitting in the restaurant and told us to try the Strawberry, as they were amazing. We mentioned to the lady behind the counter that we had never been before and she said nothing to us. My friend asked for recommendations and she, again, never said nothing to us. We proceeded to order and she never acknowledged us. She only got our order and told me to sign the receipt. As we were exiting, another patron entered, and the lady spoke to him and acknowledged him. She offered suggestions; again, never saying anything to my friend and I. We enjoyed our cupcakes, but because of her behavior, we will NEVER return to this location. We are Black and the other patrons were White. I don't want to play the race card, but it was very obvious what was going on. I won't return and will patronize another location. read more
