I happened to be driving down US-1 and saw Southern Belles and immediately looked them up, scoured reviews and went down a hole of instagram posts and tags. I stopped in and had a very pleasant interaction with one of the bakers/counter persons there, they had me Airdrop my decoration colors so they could match the frosting. I gave them creative freedom with the frosting design and honestly would have been happy with a plain swirl on each cupcake. I did walk out a little nervous because I have never tried anything there and was slightly worried about how the cake base would come out. Pickup day!!! They were ready at the requested time and were absolutely stunning! Blew my expectations out of the universe! They were the perfect size and the colors for the frosting were phenomenal! Now came the real test... the cake flavor and density.... drumrolllllll... they were delicious! the lemon flavor was bright and citrusy, the cake density was perfection, not too dense and not too airy and the moisture was fantastic.. so again to reiterate...
