I really wanted to love this place again, but unfortunately I've been consistently disappointed. When Small Cakes first opened, I was genuinely excited to have a local cupcake option--especially because they regularly stocked mini cupcakes. They were the perfect little treat: enough to satisfy a sweet tooth without the guilt or wasting half a cupcake because it was too big. Over the past couple of years, though, the experience has gone downhill for me. Minis are never available anymore unless you special order days in advance, which completely defeats the purpose of a spontaneous treat. The selection is okay, but the flavors just don't hit the way they used to. They're good cupcakes--but they don't have that "wow" factor anymore. No tingle, no excitement, no craving for the next bite or urgency to try another flavor because it's so decadent. The staff has always been pleasant, so this isn't about service. It's really about the product and options. The cupcakes are large and expensive, and without mini options, they're not practical for a light, bite-sized treat. I truly wish there was more variety or better size options available without having to plan days ahead. I miss what this place used to be and hope it can get back there someday read more

They have their own unique spin on cupcake flavors and designs. Our favorite is the "wedding cake" one but this location did not have it the day that we went. It's very clean and nicely decorated inside. The young lady working was nice. Limited parking in the plaza. I found the cupcakes to pack more flavor in the icing and toppings. This tiny little cupcakery is in the Green Turtle Plaza on the west side of Jupiter. It is definitely worth seeking out - the cupcakes are delicious, no matter which flavor you pick, but the birthday cake flavor is out of this world. My daughter requested 2 dozen mini cupcakes rather than a normal cake for her birthday. The owner was very gracious and understanding when we had to pick them up late. I love cupcakes! Perfectly portioned pieces of cake topped with fluffy frosting makes me happy. That is why I work in an elementary school, all of those birthdays, LOL/ JK. Smallcakes is a chain of cupcake stores created in Overland Park, Kansas in 2007 by Cupcake Wars Food Network chef Jeff Martin. They sell 12 signature cupcake flavors. They also have a gluten free option for a dollar more and custom cakes. After a not good visit to the Fort Myers store I ran into the chain again while in Jupiter and decided to see if I could finally check them out. I came in late in the day so most of the flavors were sold out. I ended up with the birthday cake flavor and pink vanilla. The cupcakes are large at $3.75 each and they were fresh. My cupcakes were packed perfectly into a sturdy partitioned box. I was really impressed that they looked as good coming out of the box as they did going in. Overall the cake part was moist and delicious. They have a lot of icing and it was overly sweet for me and I like sweet. Half the amount of icing would have been plenty. They were still way better than your grocery store cupcake. Based on the flavors I tried it is a solid three and half stars for me. There aren't too many of these stores around so I will need to see if I can arrange to find one earlier in the day to be able to sample more flavors. I have to admit I'm pretty addicted to these cupcakes. Heads up- this location is just East of I-95 on Indiantown Road. So the next time you changeover from 95 to the Turnpike (or vice versa, as this is the closest point between the two highways in PBC), you can grab a box for the ride north. Now for the main event: The cake part is fluffy, moist and delicious. Most of the frostings are sinfully awesome and light. The ratio of cake to frosting is perfect. The cupcakes are small enough that - with a long fork - you can scoop from top of the icing to the bottom of the cake to create a perfect bite. This is important! Otherwise it's having to choose between the cake and the frosting; here all the flavors and textures keep together. The flavors I most recently tried: Thin Mint: delicious the one that looks like a hostess cupcake: amazing white bottom with light pink top: very good. Fat Elvis: unmemorable German Chocolate Cake: not my thing, as the topping was traditional German Chocolate Cake goo instead of cupcake frosting. Of course I still ate it all! The cupcakes come in cute cardboard boxes, so no single use plastic guilt here. The store's facebook page list special flavors featured each day- and notes when the cupcakery is sold out . . . yes, that happens, especially on holidays! I work in West Palm Beach and everyone I work with lives in so many different locations around Southern Florida and they are always telling me about these little local shops and places they frequently go to. Most of the time I've never heard of these places because I don't love near them, so when someone recommends something to me, I try to go there with an open mind. In this case, I didn't need an open mind, just an open mouth so I can eat cupcakes. I told my girlfriend we were going to checkout a little shop in Jupiter and she had no idea what I was talking about. So when we pulled up she was really excited about trying everything. So we got 6 cupcakes, because when you go to Jupiter for cupcakes you get 6 for the 2 of you ‍. We got a lemon drop, red velvet, chocolate cream, birthday, peanut butter cup, and cookies n cream cupcake. I'm not going to go through each of them, but my personal favorite was definitely Lemond Drop. Mostly because I'm a sucker for anything lemon flavored. I have to say that I was surprised by the little shop and yet how amazing the cupcakes looked. I'll be back for sure to try some flavors that were sold out before we got there. My neighbor would come over every now & then with a couple of Nina's bakery cupcakes (here in Jupiter) saying "There the best in town" Yeah lol .... NO there Not! I'm very particular about most things especially what I eat and I can promise you! you will Love Smallcakes! There tasty, moist & have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Now I haven't tried them all lol but I can say the one's I've tried in the shop in Jupiter are as good as the one's in Stuart. One review said there to sweet but isn't all cakes & cookies sweet? An absolutely adorable, bright pink hole in the wall that displays gorgeous cupcakes of all sorts. When we walked in we were greeted by one of the workers who was very sweet and clearly very invested in the cupcakes it was nice to see. She walked us through their options of about 12 different flavors plus a special for the day. after she gave us a really good synopsis on any flavors we asked about we decided on the 4 of them. The orange creamsicle was my favorite by far because it was so unique and the flavor was very true to the name. The peanut butter was a best and the frosting was the best peanut butter frosting I've had. The birthday cake was very classic but it was really good. The only one that disappointed was the vanilla delight. It just didn't live up to the rest of these cupcakes, it tasted basic and the frosting was just ok for a homemade chocolate. The cupcakes all have about a 60 to 40 ratio on cake to frosting which is good but they are quite sweet and there is a lot of frosting. First time here and not the last. First off, I'm so happy that they opened this location because I never would've drove to Stuart just for cupcakes so now that this is here, it's a great thing. The location is easy to find with parking right in front of in. It's in a small plaza so you can easily find it. The store itself is very clean and cute. I say they had about 20 cupcake flavors for a Tuesday afternoon. And right as you walk in the nice young lady informed us about the flavors of the day. The cupcakes itself were much bigger than I'd expect it. I went in thinking they were mini cupcakes because of pictures I saw from their other locations. The cupcakes tasted delicious. We got four cupcakes and paid a decent price for it. They were absolutely delicious. The cake was nice and moist. Tasted like it just came out the oven and the frosting was the best. Not too sweet, just right. Definitely a treat. My kids loved it so we'll definitely be back. AND they have punch cards available so you get rewarded for enjoying their yummy cupcakes. read more

I gave this place three stars because while the cake was amazing, this icing is thick (like a paste but not that thick) and isn't awesome. There's also a lot of it ...so it overwhelms the cake. They have the usual chocolate or vanilla ones plus unique ones to try. I have purchased the Churro (cinnamon) and the Kickin Kat. We had loved the Churro & so did our friends. The Kickin Kat is for a birthday girl so I'll have to wait on it's review. The box it comes in makes a good presentation for a gift. And the box is constructed to protect the cupcake, including slots for the top tabs to slide into, instead of your cupcake. The owner is very friendly and helpful. First time here. It's a cute little bakery with quite a few choices. They have there standard cupcakes they make fresh every morning then three flavors that switch daily. The cake park of the cupcake tastes just like the homemade cakes my mom would make. Some of these other cupcake specialty places I have been to the cake part is heavy and not much flavor. These were light and moist. The heaviest part about the cupcakes is the icing. When I picked up the cupcake I thought the cake was going to be dense because of the weight. But it's the great icing. So this place I would not even waste my time going - even though it looks good on the outside but in reality they are unhygienic. On 4/8/22- this occurred: one of the owners of this establishment had the audacity to turn my eight-year-old autistic daughter away, when we asked to use her washroom sink. She ate a marshmallow cupcake and was all covered and sticky. The bathroom was barricaded. She refused; I asked her if she had paper towels with water she refused she said that she's not required to provide that- and she's should charger customers extra for that. Then she proceeded to come out of the store into the sidewalk of the parking lot and start arguing with me about why she's not required by law to let me use her bathroom. Her coworker had to hold her back she look like she wanted to fight me. The customer service is horrendous I have never been so insulted, in my life- she has zero humanity towards children. 100 points down. Needless to say, I will never go there again nor will I ever recommend this place to anybody. You would figure; because they sale sweets they would be more hygienic. They offer no way for customers to use any kind of cleansing service or wipes, She is extremely unprofessional, rude and very aggressive. I want to zero stars if I could. Sucks read more

We had Jupiter Smallcakes not only make mini cupcakes for our dessert table, but our wedding cake! Our two tiered semi-naked wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS. Our guests raved about all the different flavor minis. We love the carrot cake (our wedding cake and we had minis), pink vanilla and pink chocolate, decadent chocolate!!!!! Nicole was so helpful and open to all our design requests - from the colors to the cupcake decor/toppings. She is also fairly priced and doesn't upcharge you simply because it is for a wedding! These cupcakes are delicious. I bake so I am picky when it comes to baked goods and find most cupcakes overly sweet, these are perfectly sweet. I had the red velvet and the chocolate peanut butter. The red velvet was the better of the two as the peanut butter one did not have enough peanut butter flavor. The red velvet was delicious, moist and cream cheese frosting was great. A tad too much vegetable oil in the cupcakes though. The reason for knocking 2 stars is the pricing. At $3.75 for an average size cupcake I find them to be extremely overpriced. I would have bought more had they been more reasonably priced. $3 would be the most I would pay for a cupcake so even though they were pretty good, I probably won't come back. read more

How can you say no to a cupcake? You can't. The cake it's self was moist and very delicious. I honestly would've just been fine eating just the cake itself but I can't have cake without that icing. The whole combination was perfect. The amount of sugar wasn't overpowering and I didn't feel like I needed to drink a whole gallon of water afterwards. I ordered the birthday cake and my girlfriend ordered the strawberry icing cupcake. We're both very happy with our choices. She had pictures on the wall of other kind of cupcakes that weren't in today selection. I was highly disappointed to say the least. She had the cannoli cupcake picture on the wall and the German chocolate cake. Both she sells during the week. I do not live in this area so the chances of me getting an opportunity to come here on a Monday or Friday to try these cupcakes is very unlikely. What can I say? It's hard not to love a good cupcake. But to love a GREAT cupcake, that's a special moment. I treated my little girl last week to a cupcake, she got vanilla with a Mother's Day special pink frosting. She isn't extremely adventurous with cupcakes. She appreciates the simple but from my eight year olds mouth "it was phenomenal, fluffy, fantastic and delicious" I got my other half the stuffed French toast because he loves maple syrup and he was in awe, because he saved it for a whole day in the fridge and it was still moist and fresh. He said although the icing was really sweet it was just the right amount. We're publix bakery fans but sometimes they over sweeten. My lemon cupcake was super extra amazing.
