I contacted a few bakeries well before the party to coordinate, including a big name in Delray I used to always use, & all were either rude, a hassle to work with, or just unwilling to do what I requested. I'm so happy They were all that way bc I found Turtles Bakeree as a result. Fast, immediate responses. Erin was so helpful and communicative. She listened to exactly what I wanted and really pulled it off for my best friends birthday. The pictures don't do this cake justice. Erin was extremely flexible with my pick up time. For the cake packaging she installed rods to the corners of the box and secured the cake stand so it wouldn't slide to provide extra protection. All around amazing experience. I will be using Erin for all of my cakes moving forward!

I really wanted to love this place again, but unfortunately I've been consistently disappointed…read more When Small Cakes first opened, I was genuinely excited to have a local cupcake option--especially because they regularly stocked mini cupcakes. They were the perfect little treat: enough to satisfy a sweet tooth without the guilt or wasting half a cupcake because it was too big. Over the past couple of years, though, the experience has gone downhill for me. Minis are never available anymore unless you special order days in advance, which completely defeats the purpose of a spontaneous treat. The selection is okay, but the flavors just don't hit the way they used to. They're good cupcakes--but they don't have that "wow" factor anymore. No tingle, no excitement, no craving for the next bite or urgency to try another flavor because it's so decadent. The staff has always been pleasant, so this isn't about service. It's really about the product and options. The cupcakes are large and expensive, and without mini options, they're not practical for a light, bite-sized treat. I truly wish there was more variety or better size options available without having to plan days ahead. I miss what this place used to be and hope it can get back there someday

Nervous for nothing! I happened to be driving down US-1 and saw Southern Belles and immediately looked them up, scoured reviews and went down a hole of instagram posts and tags. I stopped in and had a very pleasant interaction with one of the bakers/counter persons there, they had me Airdrop my decoration colors so they could match the frosting. I gave them creative freedom with the frosting design and honestly would have been happy with a plain swirl on each cupcake. I did walk out a little nervous because I have never tried anything there and was slightly worried about how the cake base would come out. Pickup day!!! They were ready at the requested time and were absolutely stunning! Blew my expectations out of the universe! They were the perfect size and the colors for the frosting were phenomenal! Now came the real test... the cake flavor and density.... drumrolllllll... they were delicious! the lemon flavor was bright and citrusy, the cake density was perfection, not too dense and not too airy and the moisture was fantastic.. so again to reiterate... Nervous for nothing! I highly recommend them and worth every penny!

There's something for everyone: chocolate AND vanilla ice cream, a layer of cookie crumbles and creamy whipped 'icing.' The problem with this cake is that doesn't melt into pieces and requires a proper plate and knife. Just kidding! The real problem is that the box it comes in has a little coupon for $ off your next ice cream cake purchase. It's the circle that never ends!?!? Thank you to the kind employee who accommodated my request to purchase this cake over the phone. She also came to my car door and placed the cake bag inside of my car through the window.
