We stopped by on a Thursday evening. The selection was pretty good. The worker was friendly and helpful. I got the chocolate cake with coconut and caramel. Hubby got one that looked like an Old school hostess cupcake. We both agreed that the cake was on the crumbly side. Both were chocolate cake. They weren't the best cupcakes we have ever had. They weren't the worst cupcakes we have ever had. Middle of the road. We will be back to try again.

The customer service is always on point! The cake is super moist and they are not skimpy on the icing. I love the holiday options they have going on right now. Definitely my go to cake option. Highly recommend!

This is a cute shop to grab something sweet! I paid alittle over $9 for both the cupcakes I got (one special for the week, one non). The service was great, just one person around but she was patient and helpful. I enjoyed the margarita cupcake but the lemon we weren't much of a fan of. Its got quite a bit of seating inside so you can sit and chat while enjoying if you'd like. I'd come back and try another flavor! If you're in the area for dinner this is a nice something sweet afterwards.

I've been planning to visit Smallcakes Cupcakery for a while now and was finally able to get over there. I was eating at a nearby restaurant and decided to walk over here afterwards for some dessert. I'm certainly glad I made the short trip since the cupcakes were delicious! They have numerous flavors so it took us forever to determine which ones to purchase. Luckily the employee working was so patient and friendly. We eventually decided on the banana pudding, sundae, wedding cake, and chocolate cupcakes. We liked each of the flavors. The banana pudding cupcake was not my favorite but I liked the sundae cupcake. I would have liked more flavor from the chocolate cupcake but it was still good. When next in this plaza, I want to return to try some of their other flavors. Other information: the cupcakes are reasonably priced (pricy but expected for a cupcakery in Cary) and the large plaza seems to have ample parking but it does get busy.

Talk about a huge disappointment! I've been using Small Cakes for some time, but they have lost a loyal customer. I ordered cupcakes for our big tailgate party and they look horrible! Next time I will use Harris Teeter for my event needs. First of all I was told on Facebook messenger that they would do the NFL decorated cupcakes for $4 each. However when I came to the store to order in person they wouldn't honor that price. So I had to pay $4.50 each. Secondly, I can't believe I spent almost $100 on cupcakes that look like a mom did them at home. I don't plan on coming back.

We love this place. The wedding cake is a top pick. I also love the carrot cake cupcake. The only downside is the parking. All the parking right in front of this place is handicap. So if it's raining you have to park a ways away. But other than this it's a good place to go.

The cupcakes are so delicious. They were flavorful and moist. You can't go wrong here. Also, not pictured is the oatmeal sandwich cookie!!! Also delicious!!!

They have a large variety of cupcakes, but unfortunately I did not really like any of the cupcakes I got. The frosting was too sweet and overpowered the rest of the cupcake. The cake was a bit dry and tasted bland. The cupcakes are also a bit expensive.

Looks yummy!

Super cute inside! Lots of flavors to choose from! My only complaints are 1. Prices are high ($3.75 for one cupcake?!) and 2. (I never thought I'd say this) too much frosting I had the red velvet which was good but the frosting was a little too sweet. My daughter had the Birthday Cake which I think she only chose because of the colorful sprinkles and she actually ONLY ate the frosting. My son had the Pink Vanilla. I tried a bite of it and I think I was disappointed because my brain was expecting strawberry flavored icing but it was just vanilla dyed pink. They also have gluten free options, cookies, and brownies. I will definitely go back and try some other flavors. I also would like to try one of their whoopie pies. The store is really nicely decorated and clean...but the girl working behind the counter wasn't friendly at all.

As always, Smallcakes is the place to get your cupcake fix. Great quality and good flavors as expected; however, compared to like-places, their selections are feeling a bit routine, much like Dunkin Donuts. Now, I do hope they consider extending their selections into other designer flavors and possibly try other frostings / toppings that may be a bit more creamier and butterry.

They all tasted like someone just bought them at the grocery store. Overpriced as well. What a waste.

Before you know it, you're thinking about what to eat or take home, and you were just there for coffee. Yikes! First off, all the pastries are made right at Asali. From what I understand, nothing is made outside the café. My favorite breakfast is their egg and cheese croissant. It's always just the right temperature. So good, you might even use your fingers to pick up and eat all the flakes that fall off. The staff is super friendly and even answers any questions you have about how they make their drinks. Speaking of drinks, you can pretty much get anything you want. Regular coffee, pour-over, all sorts of lattes--hot or cold. This is one of the reasons why I return time after time. The staff's ability to be creative and add some wow factor to your drink. Asali might just be the best cafe in the entire Raleigh area.

They have so many pastries to choose from, ranging from macarons to cakes. They also have a small brunch menu. The service was fine and the items came out quickly. I got the Hazelnut Cheesecake Mousse and Breakfast Croissant. The Hazelnut Cheesecake Mousse had a stick blue fondant above it, which I think was mostly used for decor. I did not like it a lot so we took it off and it made the cake taste a lot better. There were not super strong hints of the cheesecake flavor, but it tasted fine. I wish the Breakfast Croissant had a type of meat in it, but it was still good. The croissant was very buttery and large. I would probably rate this spot a 3.5/5 stars if I could. The food I got did not impress me too much, but I would love to give them another shot and try their other pastries.
