What's better than a food truck? How about a dessert truck?…read more Patti's Pastries was parked downtown this past summer, and I am SO glad I took the time to wait in the long line for this sweet truck. After staring into their windows for as long as I did, it was hard not to take one of everything home with me! But I managed to keep it together and walk off with just a Cookie Dough, a Raspberry Truffle, and a Strawberry Cheesecake cupcake. These cupcakes were AMAZIIIINNNNG. We're talking moist cake mix, topped with delish icing and snacks and drizzles of sauces, and filled with a unique filling as well. It's a flavor profile you have to taste - words just can't do it justice! Easily the best dessert I've had in a long time. My cupcakes did not last long at all, and if I come across this food truck and/or am in the area of Patti's physical location, I am so ready for more of these heavenly goodies. If you have a chance to grab something from Patti's, do it! Do it do it do it!

They weren't. It's as though the baker forgot the sugar. They weren't tart, they were sour. On the positive side, the apples were soft and the crumb crust was good. But the pies were almost inedible because of the sourness. Once we doused the pieces with sugar, they were quite good. By the way, there are no samples (I wonder why?), and the table guy was snarly. The market itself is very nice, upbeat and with an interesting and diverse crowd. Lots of good, fresh local produce.

Customers may purchase the pies through the business's website for pickup, through the Market Wagon website for delivery, and in person at a couple farmers' markets. For about 1.5 years, I have been a customer of this business and have ordered many flavors of pies. The quiche lorraine had a crispy crust and was filled with flavorful eggs, cheese, bacon, onions, etcetera. My husband ate the quiche, and he said, "This thing I would eat again. This is my ideal breakfast." I ate the berbere beef hand pie, and I liked its crispy crust and its filling of ground beef, potatoes, onions, carrots, and spices. I also ate an apple pie and chicken-verde hand pie, and I liked both of them.

The total price for one lady lock, one cinnamon roll, one apple fritter, one large apple-caramel cookie, and one piece of apple-caramel crumb cake was $19 *plus* tax and tip.
