Stopped in for my first visit on a Friday morning. They have a small-ish parking lot with maybe 10-15 spots (including the CPA business next door). The interior of the shop is a decent size, with both table and window seating available. They had way more donut options than I was expecting and it was honestly difficult to choose! I went with a chocolate iced custard filled donut and an apple fritter. The prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. The custard donut was SO good. It was super fresh and had plenty of custard filling and icing on top. The staff were super friendly and quick to take customer's orders. I saw several people getting half dozens and dozens. It's worth noting that they have a card minimum of $5. I'd definitely come back again for a sweet treat for myself and/or a box to go for a party or an event. read more

This little donut shop has been a family favorite for decades! My family used to go here every Sunday after church and we all had our favorites. For my sister and my dad, it had to be the long johns... Cream filled of course! When I was a kid I really enjoyed the cinnamon buns and the "long glazed twist." My sister would probably say that my taste became more refined as an adult because I'm now a convert to the long John worship. Every time we come home we have to stop in here. The long Johns are just perfect... The cream inside is light and fluffy, and the chocolate layer is just thick enough to not overpower the taste of the donut. No matter what kind you choose, you can always expect one thing from this place -- they will be so fresh! This place is been around a long time... We have Macs in the office once in awhile. This time I was going to family dinner and wanted to bring donuts so I stopped. It was around 1:30 which is pretty much end of day in donut world so I didn't expect a huge selection. There was a fair amount of the "whites" left (powdered sugar covered filled and unfilled) as well as many plain. No chocolate anything. They also had some of their huge cinnamon rolls. We got a dozen plus a maple glazed cinnamon roll and some type of nut covered thing. The maple glazed was out of this world good! The nut covered thing? Not so much. Was dry dry dry. I popped it in the microwave with a moist paper towel. It helped. Anyhow, other than the stale donut, I've always enjoyed Macs. The reason for the 3 star rating was the service. The kid behind the counter was just surly. We smiled hard behind our masks. We said hello. We said please. We said thank you. Not one word from her other than to let us know our total. There are a bunch of great little donut shops around so it won't be Macs next time. Service and quality go hand in hand. read more

This place is a hidden gem for anyone who didn't grow up in the Aliquippa area. As someone who grew up in the North Hills, I had never heard of Mac's, but boy do I wish I had! The donuts here are so fresh and will give your taste buds such a pleasure! I swear they sprinkle a bit of magic in their dough, because lately food has not tasted as good when choosing to eat out. These donuts are certainly the exception to that and really smack! They always have enough people behind the counter ready to help you and you can get in and out very quickly. The front of the store isn't much to look at from the outside, but on the inside, you get transported back to the good old days where everything was a simpler time. Don't get me started on the smells. I am not even a big breakfast eater but my mouth was watering by the time I had paid for my donuts. The biggest surprise for me was their giant cream cheese icing cinnamon rolls. So good initially on the first day. Ours got a little stale on day two but no worries, just pop them in the air fryer and they come back to life and might be even better this way! Highly recommend grabbing one of those and adding it to your box. read more

Stopped in here after passing by when in the area, was really craving some donuts for a early morning sugary treat. Parking is a breeze as there's a decent size lot for parking. On entering I was greeted by two women behind the counter. They want over all the donuts with me and answered whatever questions I had. The inside has all the old school donut shop vibes where it looks like not much has changed since when it first opened. I settled on the cinnamon bun and a Apple fritter. I gotta say the cinnamon bun was not as strongly flavored as I thought it would be but it was still good and definitely fresh. As for the apple fritter it was delicious and not overly sweet but had a fantastic flavor profile. There's lots of other donuts there for whatever you may be craving depending on your donut wants. Also to be noted there is a five dollar minimum if your using a card to pay. Overall this place is better than most donut chains and next time I'm in the area I'll be stopping in again when the donut cravings hit. read more

Went on a Sunday to get donuts for a family brunch. There seemed to be just two females working- one about high school or college aged with dark hair and the other was maybe late 30s early 40s, light hair and in a ball cap. The lighter haired woman was incredibly rude from the moment we stepped in. She seemed almost annoyed that we were there. Her attitude and lack of manners was off-putting and what prompted me to leave such a poor review. Don't know if I caught her on a bad day, but it's not very hard to be a nice person. The donut selection was scarce but that didn't bother us nearly as much as this woman's attitude. Donuts weren't even good enough to go back there. read more

I once had my best friend ship me a few dozen donuts while I was living in Miami! You can smell them baking from blocks away. I don't care for the ladies who work the counter, or the older men who religiously congregate in their seating sections. (They will stare you up and down) but, by far, they are the best donuts I've tasted. My family who comes from out of town to visit always stops there first. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for. My husband and I stopped in on our way home from a weekend road trip on a Sunday. We were actually heading to the Dunkin up the road but because we like to support local and try new places we turned the vehicle around to check this place out, use the restroom, grab some coffee and test out some local treats. We were greeted with rudeness from the moment we stepped in. The girl working the counter seemed annoyed to have to wait on us and was annoyed that I was trying to check out the menu and didn't have my mind made up immediately. She handed me my coffees without asking if I wanted anything in them and when I asked if she had cream she again, replied with annoyance in her voice that there was some over on the side or did I want regular. When I said "regular please" she literally turned to walk to the back while saying not so under her breath something about MY attitude. WOW what amazing customer service! Not only would we never go back but we certainly would never recommend this place to anyone. Literally the worst customer experience I have ever experienced in my entire life. read more

Had a cream filled and a jelly filled today. Perfection. I also noticed they open at 4AM everyday. That's fantastic because I'm usually leaving for work around 5 AM. A nice little donut shop. The expected selection of donuts and a few other items: brownies, strudel etc. My wife's favorite donut is of the iced yeast variety with sprinkles. They did not have any this morning. They did however have iced yeast donuts and the lady taking my order took the time to go into the bakery to add sprinkles to 1 donut for me. I obviously am a fan of their service. Pretty good donuts as well. read more
