So I would love to give this place a good review, but sadly I cannot. I've been here 3 times. 2 of those times we today. The first time I came service wasn't great but the burger I was was awesome. That's about the end of that experience. I left with a semi neutral view of the place. I came back again this afternoon with a couple of friends. We were hanging out. One was drinking the other 2 of us were not, but they also came to eat. We didn't get waited on besides the drinks for an hour and a half after one person from our table tracked down our waitress (side note people around us were being waited on). I didn't order anything because I was planning on bringing my daughter back after hey function to eat and get a famous shake that I had yet to experience. So we come in and ate quickly given water by one person. After that we sit for 30 mins before I make eye contact with someone and they come over (again people who came in after are being waited on and shakes are coming out along with food.) He finally tells the same waitress who is alone at this point that we need service, but he comes back instead and tells us kitchen is closed besides snacks...... Needless to say I'm pissed... Anyway after airing my grievance, twice, then sitting for another hour we get a pity shake.... I'm grateful for that thank you, but I can't completely ignore the constantly bad service. I hope that they can get some seasoned servers because the food is good but not good enough for this nonsense. read more

Went to small batch with my buddy last night at 7:15 to grab a good beer and get some food before we meet up with some friends. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting to put in a drink order, but that never happened. So my friend approached the bar ask asked if we could put in a drink and food order with him. But he said that since we weren't sitting at the bar the waitress would take care of us. We waited 10 more minutes for her to come to us and she never did. She did pass by several times never even making eye contact. Seemed like such a cool place maybe I'll give it another try. Hopefully they can get their stuff together! read more

Not impressed with this place the dining area was narrow and noisy all hard surfaces nothing to absorb sound or keep out the flies. After a 30 minute wait street side in the cold wind got our text, seated, drinks and order placed in a few minutes ordered the le big Matt burger with sweet potato tots the tots was great (that's why 2 stars) dipping sauce was little sweet but ok the burger was plain flavorless don't think they seasoned the meat when cooked nothing popped not even the pork belly it did have a smear of fancy sauce but don't remember tasting it there are no condiments on the table so asked for salt that wouldn't come out of the shaker so there was no improvement to the block of cardboard. My wife had the blue sky and she said it was just a plain burger with blue cheese crumbles and bacon not anything special for the price ($12) she also had the Brussels served fried (burnt) with loads of salt and garlic not eatable. We did relay to our waiter we needed a fly swatter and the hostess came over with gift card and made apologies for the flies and stated that fans would be soon installed over the doors to alleviate that problem. Hopefully they will also work on the noise and cold sterile interior. Needless to say will be hard pressed to return even with the gift card. read more

Solid beer selection, even had a kombucha brew. Great vibe and interior, definitely a place to go for a night out during the weekend or just catch a game. I had a flight with the Percolator stout, Sugar Cookie brown ale, "Mr. Lemon Man" IPA and "player yet to be named" ale. The only one that I particularly enjoyed was the IPA, the rest were just ok. Would need to go another 3 or 4 times to try everything they have, which I'm looking forward to. My favorite brewery in the state of North Carolina. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and a great place to have a few drinks. I can't rave enough about the beer selections. They are rotated seasonally and are all delicious. I tried the Percolator Stout, Session Amber, and Blood Orange IPA and they were all phenomenal. I can't wait to get back and try more of the brews. We got the onion rings, pretzel, and hummus, and although the hummus didn't have much flavor, the pretzel with dipping sauce and the onion rings were both pretty good. We were there for a few hours, and the crowd was mostly men. The draft list was on the board, and you had to guess at what beer was in bottles and cans in the fridges behind the bar. (That's one of my pet peeves - it's really not that hard or expensive to keep a few copies of a paper list of available options.). We went for their shakes but enjoyed the burger and fries so much more! The $9 shakes look ah-mazing but we found the ice cream flavorless and much too whipped / airy for our taste. We didn't even finish ours (Legends of the Fall & Peanut Butter Brownie Batter) and they ended up just being an expensive photo-op. The fries, however, have a great seasoning and the burgers were juicy and worth the price. We ate in the 'diner' side of the restaurant and although our waiter messed up our order a bit, he was very nice and fixed it when we brought it to his attention. I like the ambience is this place and the drink menu is really unique in the area and worthy of attention. It's a four star instead of 5 review for 2 reasons. First, I ordered a peach sangria. Not even the peaches in it were peach flavored, they were 'red wine sangria' flavored. I still enjoyed the beverage, but they shouldn't call it peach, it's just sangria. Second, I was sad to discover that while they are open until ten the kitchen closes at 8 on Sundays, and the menu and specials looked amazing. Sad I couldn't enjoy it. I will go back though, I never have had a bad experience there, and they let you do a taste of a beer if you think you are interested too, which is nice. Today I tasted a tropical fruit something something beer. It was refreshing just not what I was in the mood for. We went there for burgers and to treat my friends to one of their milkshakes that are supposed to be so good. We had to sit outside because they didn't clean the tables inside. Our waitress obviously didn't want to be there no did she want a tip. She barely smiled nor speak. She took forever to give a straw when asked and longer to clear the table. No wonder it wasn't busy. We had to wait forever for our drinks, then another wait for food and an order that was placed within 5 minutes of our initial order, waited almost 15 minutes for that order AND we had to go in and ask the manager where it was. The cooks obviously don't know how to make whipped cream because we had to wait almost 20 minutes for that, asked for it on the side and it tasted horrible. For a Sunday after church, for an evening dinner with friends, or any event, this is NOT the place to go. I won't go back. read more

Burger Batch Review: way overpriced, average food. One "specialty" burger with a side and a soft drink = $18 plus tax. That should be one of the best burgers you ever eat, but it just doesn't cut it. My advice, opt for Five Guys. Oh, and if you want a shake for dessert? $9. Small Batch (brewery) Review: Decent atmosphere and beer variety. The go-to bar in town for fútbol. We tried Burger Batch this past Saturday. My youngest daughter and her three friends wanted to go here, in addition to me, my wife and oldest daughter. So, my wife checked prior and they do not take reservations. When we got there, it was not terribly busy. In fact, there were three open tables inside the restaurant. We had decided that my daughter and her three friends would sit separately from us, so we had two separate parties of 4 and 3. The hostess told my daughter it would be a 25 minute wait...even with the open tables. When I stepped up to ask, they said that they reserve the tables as people come in. Ok, but where were the people that had reserved these tables? They weren't outside waiting. Anyway, my wife stepped up and reserved a table for our party of three....they said it would be 15 minutes for us. And the hostess said that if any tables were open outside, feel free to take them. Within 5 minutes, my daughter's party of four were notified that their table was ready. ( just confusing...they are holding tables for people that apparently never had any intention of eating there and telling patrons of a 25 minute wait....when in fact, it was 5?? ) Our party of three decided to take an open table outside. Our server was pretty prompt and friendly, but obviously in training as she had another waitress ghosting her. Oh, and the trainer made a rude remark to us that in the future we needed to see a hostess to seat outside. When we explained that the hostess told us differently, she said the hostess was wrong and she would take care of it. On top of that, there was a sign in front of Small Batch that basically said Small Batch / Burger Batch......"seat yourself" The whole seating / table issue is very confusing and it appears that the employees are confused as well. Anyway, we ordered and waited. The girls inside ordered at about the same time. At about 30 minutes in, my wife checked and the girls inside had their food and were eating. At about 50 minutes in, the girls were finished and were ordering shakes. For us outside, still no food. At about 55 minutes in, our server walked up to our table and said, "hope everything was good, how about some dessert?" I thought she was joking, but she was stoned cold serious. I informed her that we never got our food. She rushed off. The people at the table next to us were floored...I told them "good luck with your food". 10 minutes later....1 hour and 5 minutes after ordering, our burgers arrived. ( keep in mind the party of four inside had already eaten and were finishing their shakes). The burger was good. But I have had better. In fact, I noticed as well as my daughter, that the burgers were quite small and dwarfed by the bun. Not what you expect from a "gourmet" burger that costs $12 and doesn't included your side. The girls did enjoy their shakes. The whole seating situation is confusing and inconsistent. The service was also inconsistent and the burgers were good, but not the best we've had. As we were leaving, I heard customers being told there was a 2 hour wait....I'm sure there were empty tables inside. read more

Overcharged. 5$ burger deal is an absolute scam! Ordered 2 5$ burger deals and when the check comes around it's over 30$! I asked how can this be and apparently since we customized the burgers there was a 6$ up charger per burger customized, on top of that the waitress charged us for 2 orders of fries despite the menu saying "ALL burgers are served with hang cut fries". All In all the meals were 3x the price we were expecting and more expensive then they would have been FULL PRICE. Ridiculous and dismissive service. Be aware they cook their burgers medium. I was unaware of this. Not sure if it's on the menu but if so I missed it. I would argue my burger was medium rare, closer to red than pink. I'm weird about that but fortunately they cooked me another burger. With so many burger bars opening up I can't say this is the "best burger" but it was good. The milkshake was gorgeous but honestly it was as much whip cream as milk shake. The reason I don't think I'll return is because of the price. It just wasn't $50 good. read more

Me and my co-workers decided to try this place in High Point for lunch today. We work about three minutes from the location so why not? It was full when we got there not necessarily crowded because we were able to be seated right away. It's such a cute little place and I really wanted to like it but the service was horrible. One co worker had to wait fifteen minutes just to get some lemons for her water. Of course we have the standard hour most people do for lunch so when we hit the forty-five minute window and still didn't have our food which was a typical order(three standard medium burgers and a salad) we called the waitress over to ask how long our food would be. She and another waitress came back with the response that the kitchen is running behind and it would be another 20 minutes before our order was ready and asked if we would just like it to go. If we would have never called that waitress over she would have never said anything about our food as the only time she was at our table was to bring our drinks which at the same time she took our order. So of course we are all frustrated and we didn't have a choice but to take it to go. We asked the waitress for our checks which after 15 minutes we still didn't receive until we asked someone else. In the midst of that person checking us out another waiter came to the table with our food...PLATED!! after we had been waiting for it to go! Of course the other waitress sent him back in the kitchen and said it was to go. Five minutes later we get our boxes with the food of course cold and just thrown in the boxes. The only reason I gave it two stars was because once I got back to work and heated up my burger I must say it was rather tasty. They are surrounded by businesses and office parks so they should understand the window of time their customers have during the day. If you are running behind or having any other issue that is effecting your orders it is the wait staff responsibility to inform the customer I should not have to call someone over to ask about anything. I would say give it a try if time is on your side the food seems to be good they just need better management and to improve their customer service. read more

I went with a group of friends who are all over the age of 21 to order milkshakes and burgers for a night out together. My 21 year old friend (with a Maryland ID) ordered a drink. The server, who was the only one there, took her ID and said it was fake. Her ID was real, but she tried to show him different forms of identification she had on her (debit card, student ID, Instagram). He still said it was fake because he claimed to have gone to school in Maryland and apparently that made him a expert in Maryland IDs. He then insisted that she should have carried her passport (which no one does) to prove that it was a real ID. After politely asking to talk to the manager, he nearly refused. After finally talking to the manager, my friend got her ID back (that she needs to legally drive a car) but we were refused service of any kind without justification (they said they "just didn't want to deal with it"). The reason we were so thrown off was for the fact that her ID was real and didn't now how to prove that it was real! The food is good but be weary of using a LEGAL ID because you might be refused service and kicked out for wanting to spend money at their establishment! read more
