    First half of food menu

The food was fresh and really tasty. The service was exactly as it should be. Even though there was a long line at all times because it was very busy, everyone was well taken care of and happy. Definitely recommend.

Very yummy food and great service! The prices are affordable and portions are large. I have been twice and will be back.

Pork chop with mushrooms and meat wrapped in cabbage with tomato sauce

Incredible amount of food and quality for the money. Their menu is quite varied. My husband has to eat gluten-free and they had several options for him. I had been hankering to have something just like what I got. Couldn't tell you what it was called. In English it was: meat with cabbage and tomato sauce. Delicious! Wine was good too.

Polish sour soup with eggs and sausage

This is a hip and trendy student cafe/restaurant located next to the Jagiellonian University. It has a fantastic open space with a high ceiling and a massive arch window overlooking the street and the Planty Park. It's simply a wonderful place to have a coffee and daydream or people watch. The walls are adorned with simple and modern art using metal strings. The food is simple Polish staples with some international inspirations. The menu includes choices like potato pancakes with goulash. Meat dumplings/pierogi (10 zl) and the Polish sour soup with hardboiled eggs and sausage (8zl). The sour soup really stood out for me and it's possibly one of the most delicious soups I've ever had. Made from fermented rye flour, the so called 'zurek', is savoury, hearty and has a mild tanginess that keeps things interesting. If you're ever in Krakow, you must pay this place a visit. They are one of the only places I found in Poland where you great value, quality, ambiance and service all under one roof (and good WIFI too!).

    Best Raspberry Vodka ever

This review is from my trip to Poland a few months before Covid..... When I travel I always try to eat the food of the country I am in and I always try to eat at a different place for every meal. That being said, our second night in Krakow we were tired and didnt want to go far. This place was a 2 minute walk from our apartment so we decided to go there. We had potato pancakes and pork goulash washed down with a honey beer and raspberry vodka that was ice cold and to die for! Dinner was so good we went back for breakfast the next morning. We ordered a traditional polish breakfast and latte's. Breakfast was ham, cheese, 2 eggs cooked to order, cucumber and tomato slices, a basket of bread and butter. While looking at the menu for breakfast we happened to glance at the rest of the menu, that is how we ended up there that night also for pierogi. We had a potato one and a meat one and shared, we also ordered beet salad. I am not one for beets but tried this and while I doubt I would ever order it on my own I did enjoy what I had of it. Tonight's vodka choice was the pear one, it was good but nowhere near as good as the raspberry. Not really a wine drinker but we tried the house made wine and it was pretty good. Service was always fantastic and the girls always had a smile on their faces, prices were insanely cheap.....I cant believe we went 3 times in a row, its that good

They have a breakfast and lunch menu, so if you wanna eat lunch don't come during breakfast times! I had their breakfast menu - ordered a Shakshouka with bacon and an orange juice. The Shakshouka was delicious and the juice was fresh! Really nice place and the prices are affordable.

    Spinach and feta pierogi.

There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I am from the United States so I can honestly say these were the best pierogi I've ever had (and my grandparents made great pierogi!) The service was attentive and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined around 4pm so we were seated right away but we were told that the other side of the restaurant was already booked for reservations starting at 5. I suggest making a reservation if you plan on dining at a typical dinner time. This was also on a Tuesday so I imagine they are quite busy throughout the week as well.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. While outside checkout the cool cow models below the windows which were enclosed with the exterior lighting. Inside was full of greenery and bright. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .

The cheese plate and tartare were not accompanied with any bread or crackers. The cheese selection was boring in my opinion. The queens jam is not my thing. The stake tartare was so good. The goose liver pate was delicate, without too much of the earthy aroma that sometimes pate can have. The cranberry gelee offset the richness of the pate. I suggest you order bread on the side, to ensure you have enough to spread it on. The roast duck was meaty yet tender and moist. It appears they slow cooked it, very much to perfection. It had a nice crispy exterior, and not too much fat. I had their pan fried beets on the side, and they were smooth and delicate, without over being overpowering. Overall a very nice meal, and I look forward to going back
