The call center called and confirmed the pick up location as well. However, the driver was not only late he marked me as a no show. I tried to contact him when it said he arrived via the call button but the call button connects to a call center. Got placed on hold a few times by a confused representative who seemed to have no idea why she picked up. I told her the driver hadn't arrived and I was trying to connect with the driver. They told me to call back because the driver was trying to reach me even though the app doesn't offer any way to contact the driver directly. As I told her this, I saw the car drive past. She put me on hold before the call disconnected. (They were not driving through where they told me the pick up location was.). I tried to wave the car down but he just continued onto the high way. This was all within 10 minutes of placing my order. I eventually called again until my order was dropped and they told me a cab was nearby (and I could see this on the app as well) and they hung up on me before I could reply. At the 22 minute mark I got a text that I was a noshow and that the driver called me even though they didn't. I continued to wait another 35 minutes and my request was not picked up despite an icon of a taxi being with a 5 mile radius. Eventually, I just called an Uber. Honestly, the app is trash. And the discount is very miniscule given the headache it was. I don't know why I waited that long. I should have known from the Google Reviews, but I'm still appalled they told me to call back.

The driver was told what address to drive to and asked if the highway was ok and I said yes, he had no clue where to get on the highway and said he was not familiar with the south side. I had to give him turn by turn directions for the whole drive which was weird because cab drivers just take you to where you want to go. While stopped at a red light in front of the highway he had no clue to get in the right lane for the on ramp until I said so and he almost gets into a accident moving into the right lane cutting off a truck that sounded his horn and gave him a hand wave and a nasty look.

He started to pull over and asked me if I needed a cash machine - NO, I am not incurring an ATM charge because of your not taking cards. One is I find the site Uber.Com and the user interface on my Android phone somewhat clumsy. (I had trouble reading my screen in the sunlight.) Two, I discovered that at a congested mall the GPS doesn't pinpoint your location that accurately. The Uber driver finally called me to determine my exact location. So close yet so far away. Uber? Lyft? Bus? My friend Dave? Heck no! We needed romance, and luckily a bicycle taxi thing provides one thing and one thing only...romance! (Disclaimer: Pedal Power Cabs provides other things as well including friendly service, affordable prices, and obviously transportation) Griffin, a marketing student at Marquette, is nothing but professional and made this the perfect way to travel. Like Santa, he went above and beyond. Griffin not only helped me figure out the logistics of the meetup and trip, but was extremely flexible. I requested that while heading to our destination that we might stop at Zeidler Union Square/Wisconsin Ave for the lights and he recommended we swing by Pere Marquette as well. I told him this was part of a Christmas gift and he asked what music he could have playing. (Answer: Carpenters Christmas Portrait, of course) As far as the actual ride, it was all comfort. He had a blanket to keep us warm, the carriage seat was extremely plush, and the ride was WAY smoother than expected. The lights, the city life, the Carpenters...we felt like a parade crossed with royalty crossed with the movie Rad. Pure smiles and most importantly, pure romance. Thank you Griffin. The lady I talked to on the phone reassured me that my request for a Wheelchair Accessible vehicle would be easily met and that I shouldn't worry and to enjoy the last day of my vacation. A small interaction like this may not seem like much, but as a person with a disability, similar requests are often denied or at best, met with an, "I'll see what I can do", attitude. So, it meant a lot! When my plane arrived I called dispatch, picked up my bag and met my driver, who quickly loaded me into the van and had me home in 15 minutes!
