We've had this company come out on and off over the last 9 years that we've lived in Gilbert.  I…read moreremember one particular year we paid for the annual service and they came back several times to solve one particular issue in the house.  The technician was very tenacious about solving the problem (the repeat visits were all free during that year) so I always respected the company for that and felt they were very honest.  I don't mind paying for quality work. We once even had a very expensive treatment that I want to say cost $1000 or or so for a trench around the house.   But come this recent issue we've had I just feel I'm being hit with the "caught living in Gilbert tax."  Just because I live in Gilbert doesn't mean I'm a CEO and loaded.  I'm well below the median and just can't afford this company any more.  They didn't seem to care about loyalty on our part coming to them year after year. I don't like that they aren't open on weekends so guess what?  Someone is taking time off work (burning vacation time, yay!) to meet with the tech.  The tech came out looked at the problem spot we wanted treated and offered $350 with no warranty just to treat one spot.  Didn't do anywhere near the inspection I expected (and another company had just provided that we didn't know from Adam). I can go to Bug and Weed Mart and buy what I need for a fraction of that cost and have no warranty doing the work myself.  It's not hard to dig or drill a hole. We called another company and their quote to treat the ENTIRE property WITH A WARRANTY was only $150 more.  Guess what we did next?  We went with the new company. If money is no object and you're aren't concerned with receiving a complete inspection when they come out then go with this company.  If you want to shop around there are other equally good (or better) companies with a much more competitive price.

Technician left a note on our door with a phone number to call for questions. Yet when I called to get information the girl told me she didn't know anything about spraying at our address, couldn't help and then hung up on me. Perhaps a more appropriate response would have been to offer to look into it and get back to me? Instead I was told that since they were technically closed at the time I called she felt she should not even have picked the phone up! Really? Then next time don't.. wait until your office is open when you might perhaps be a bit more inclined to be polite and helpful instead of nasty, rude and unhelpful. Whether your company is working a contract in a community or directly with a homeowner you should always make an effort to treat everyone that contacts your office, especially when they are using the note and contact information your technician left to use, with courtesy and at the very least an offer to try and help. This girl did neither. : (

Recently we discovered some new trails inside a closet and when we looked at the original report, we realized the garage wasn't treated so now the activity is on the other side of indoor the garage wall. Looks like we now have to start all over with a complete treatment. The front of the house did not have the holes drilled into the cement (just into the soft joints) like they did the back patio. Since this is near where the activity is, I'm wondering if that's what caused the issue to return. The people were definitely pleasant to work with; I just didn't realize we would need to start over with such an expensive process so soon after the first treatment.

Of course you average my 5 star reviews (which is the same with old time Responsible clients), it gives this company a higher score rating because my 5 star reviews were for nearly a period of 10 yrs before the takeover. I bet if they only scored the reviews from the past 2 years, at best it would be a 1.5 star, not the 4+ star review. I'm glad I have my own pest control guy and he's top notch. Of the 9 reviews I've done since 2013, 6 were 5 stars (before they merged or were bought out by a larger company). You average that with the one 2 star and two 1 stars, my average review would be 3.7 stars. Let me tell you, they are not a 3.7 star company rather a 1 star. Look at all the reviews in the past 2-3 yrs. Take an average of those reviews instead and it will give you a better reflection of where the current company is. Then you make your decision to use them or not.
