SLR has been a mainstay in Lago Vista for about 40 years. Good store for gas and snacks.

I live much closer to the Trader Joe's location on Walter Seaholm. But, it's a nightmare with…read moreparking, traffic (inside and outside of the store), etc. We have a monthly trip to TJ's for all of our faves (Speculoos all-day, everyday...cookies, cookie butter, & ice cream---give me everything Speculoos). We buy certain seasonings and oils only from TJ's as well as cheese and other items. If I list them all, you'll get bored. I absolutely never leave Trader Joe's without fresh flowers for our apartment. It's a TJ ritual that dates back more than a decade for me. Heck, way back in the day (over a decade) when visiting friends in L.A., I would always get flowers for their places from TJ. Anyway, back to the reason you're reading this-you want to know my thoughts on the location and nothing more. So, as I mentioned I don't like the other store for reasons of chaos. This store gets super busy too but parking is much better since there's a decent lot. It's easy to navigate through the store and get to all our favorite things. Service is always typical TJ friendly. Happy and with smiles. Products and shelves are always in stock and filled. Extremely clean store. It's worth the drive out of the city to the 'burbs for this store location.

Do you believe in divine intervention or kismet? After looking at several sources of flowers, I…read moredecided to purchase a dozen roses at Trader Joe's today to distribute to the senior ladies I visit at an independent living center. While standing in line I struck up a conversation with a couple behind me. The wife had 4 flower bouquets in her arms and her husband had two. I said you guys must be getting ready to go on a flower distribution run. The husband said they are all for my wife and this less than she normally receives on Mother's day. I then said, "Wow you are a great husband!" When it was my turn to pay, the husband said to me that it was so nice of me to give flowers to the seniors that he was going to buy another dozen for them for me to distribute. I was actually a bit stunned because no one has ever been so spontaneously generous. So I grabbed both bouquets of flowers and headed to the independent living center. Because many of the seniors were visiting with their families, only two seniors were there today. So each one got a dozen roses each for Mother's Day. One lady said she had no children and she would not have received any flowers on Mother's Day. Was it divine intervention or kismet? You decide. I was blown away by the circumstances. Today was a giving environment.

I popped in mainly to grab a few Pokémon booster packs--still funny (and awesome) how many grocery stores carry them these days! As always, the fresh produce looked great, and the prices were incredibly economical, perfect for anyone trying to save money without sacrificing quality. I also love their rotating fun and unique items, which make every visit interesting. Grocery shopping here is always enjoyable. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm nearby. Cheers

The selection of cheeses and prepared items on the back wall is excellent and very well priced. Their sourdough bread is very good, and the selection of breads is good in general. They have a relatively new store branded version of "Dave's Killer Bread" in several varieties, and not only is it priced much better but I think it's tastier. The so-called "aisle of shame" sometimes has interesting household and clothing items, so is always fun to look through if you have the time. The store is rarely crowded, but sometimes lines are long to check out. Some of the cashiers are super nice and make the experience more enjoyable.

Best in the area, and I love supporting small businesses. I got their mega taco and split that with my partner. Kept us both full! Food was made to order but wait wasn't too long. Definitely worth it. Good prices for the amount of food they give you. You order at the back of the gas station, wait for your food, then pay at the front register. The entrance doesn't look like it'll have all this amazing food, but trust it and you won't regret it! It's still your average convenience store, but the space was clean and the man at the register was very kind. There are also seats and tables in front of the order counter to sit and wait or enjoy your food. Definitely recommend for breakfast tacos! They also sell tamales and have lunch specials.

Plus they have fresh tortillas! Definitely enjoyed their breakfast items the most such as the breakfast burrito and chorizo egg taco! Also I've liked their barbacoa, chicken, steak and al pastor tacos here too! Never seems greasy! Ask for extra salsa which they have both the green and red variety too!

I always pick up some fresh seafood from the fish market there as well. Golden pompano is my go-to; super helpful that they clean the fresh caught fish for you, free of charge! Other favorite aisles to hit are ramen, snacks, curry pastes/seasonings, and the frozen section for dumplings. No trip to HMart is complete without a stop at their incredible food court. This offers a variety of Asian food stalls - from sushi to Korean fried chicken, they have a spot for everyone. Our favorite spot is Tous Le Jours bakery. Their cloud cakes are phenomenal and melt in your mouth good! In addition to the groceries and food court, they even have a small arcade and play area for the little ones, shops offering skincare products, and a hair salon. Truly one of a kind shopping experience!

THE FINAL BAMBOO: This is where I do my shopping for any korean ingredients I need or if I have a craving for delicious korean food (at the food court).
