The atmosphere is great, the sound is solid, and this year's concert lineup has been especially impressive. One change I actually really like is the new grab-and-go bar. Instead of waiting in a long line, you tap your credit card when you enter, grab your drinks, and you're automatically charged when you leave. It's a much faster process and keeps you from missing as much of the show. My biggest disappointment is the food. They used to have multiple food options, including hot dogs and barbecue, but now it's basically just Guy Fieri's Quick Bites. Honestly, it's a downgrade. I really wish they'd bring back the old food vendors because there was a lot more variety. The staff has always been friendly and helpful every time I've visited, which definitely adds to the experience. Overall, Stir Cove is still a fantastic place to catch a concert, and I'll keep coming back. Just please bring back the hot dogs and barbecue!

I also would like to say that the ADA section could really be better. It's VERY hard to see as a person in a wheelchair. Being unable to stand up for long periods of time, I couldn't see for a majority of the show. It was frustrating especially when people would walk in front of me, stand directly infront of where I am sitting, and talk, not even watching the show. The ADA section needs to have a clear view of the stage as it is unfair to those who have disabilities to give up a nice time because the venue cannot provide a space where they are accommodated.

Back in the days before the Waiting Room and Slowdown were around, this was THE venue in Omaha to see local and independent touring bands. While Sokol Underground doesn't enjoy the same volume of shows it once had, it's still plugging along after all these years. Nowadays, mostly hardcore shows are booked here. And maybe only a couple a week on a good week. Still, going to a show here is a classic Omaha experience.

The theater is beautiful with ornate designs to the boxes, unbelievably detailed ceilings with stunning chandeliers, and gorgeous embellishments everywhere. The acoustics and lighting during the performances are great and we were really impressed with the quality of show. Seats are comfortable and between that, the music, and the wine I was practically lulled to sleep. Restrooms are nice and clean and large enough to keep the line during intermission from becoming completely ridiculous. Another great thing about intermission is you can refresh your wine supply in a sippy cup you are permitted to bring into the theater with you. I also really appreciate how friendly everyone is here. It's easy getting your tickets and there are helpful individuals to assist you in finding your seats. Between the beautiful and clean venue, the amazing shows they offer, and the friendly service, this is a great place for a fun date night in Omaha.

My review is a few years late...(or in the works)…read more The Orpheum is Omaha's oldest theater. and has been rebuilt a few times. It is the iconic Orpheum you would envision. Ornate plaster work throughout a large hall with multi tiers of detail and old world craftsmanship not done anymore. There is one entrance with about 4 doors to pass through and a mobile bar right when you get in. (this is the busiest spots to get a drink just keep walking) Straight ahead is the main staircase and to your left are the current show concessions followed by restroom and another bar and stairs. Each floor here has its own bar and the 3rd floor also has restrooms the 2nd does not. Most of the seats her have a great view its really impossible to not have a good view of the stage. 1st loge is my favorite. I feel I get full view of the entire stage from a higher up vantage point The acoustics are perfect. The temps are about always perfect not hot not cold. Of all the cities I have been this is for sure my favorite venue for performing arts. Maybe because its home and feels comfy, but looking at all the bonuses nope. This place is a GEM!!!

Parking was only $5.00 can you believe that? try to find that kind of a deal downtown like that! Plus it is right across the street from it! The headliner might be able to properly utilize them, though. The stage is close enough to see facial expressions from the 200s, which is great. Out here, the singer can easily walk down to the audience. He did, too. Parking is the same for indoor and outdoor seating. It's close to the event, and it's only $5. We'd previously been to the indoor theater, and liked it better. Not as hot, nor as sunny, either. I see apartments next to the amphitheater. That must be rough. There need to be more restaurants near this location. We're glad we like one of the few.
