I booked my daughter's birthday party at Slimeatory in the Brea Mall a few weeks in advance and sent out invitations. A week later, the manager called saying they double booked and needed to move the time. Fine--we adjusted. Then 20 minutes later, she called again saying they double booked again and needed to change it a second time. At that point, I canceled the reservation. Since then, I've spent the last three weeks emailing and leaving voicemails for corporate with zero response. No follow-up, no accountability. Really disappointing experience. I came here with some friends (yes, I am a grown adult haha) and thought it was really fun! We did the slime bar where you choose the texture of slime you want, the scent, color, and toppings and the employee adds them in for you. You get to mix together the toppings after but don't have to deal with adding the scent or color yourself which was really nice! Honestly, it's a blast! I came here with the kiddo and I think I had more fun than he did. The slime bar is a good experience for kids about 6 and up. I noticed the younger ones weren't doing so well waiting (because there is a wait since they customize your slime for you). Took us about 7-10 min for each of us to make it through the slime bar since there's mixing and picking involved. They do have kits already made, as well as a DIY section as soon as you walk in. Don't get confused, though. We did. The front is a la carte, so to speak. Each thing costs you. The slime bar is the best bang for your buck. When we came in they did not have clear slime, but had delightful butter slime, ice cream slime, or traditional white slime. Don't be afraid to ask for more developer if your slime is too sticky. I won a free slime making class from Kidzona through Instagram. I brought my 6 and 4 year old girls for the 30 min intermediate slime making class and they had so much fun. The staff was patient and helpful with passing out the materials needed and directions to make the slime. There are also lab coats for your kids to wear so they don't ruin their clothes. If you don't want to make your own slime you can check out the DIY slime bar for $16-$19. The slime is already made and you just choose what sprinkles, scented, and colors you want to add to it. But since the slime making class is $20, you might as well take the class! The store is filled with a bunch of apparel, cute stuffies to ingredients to make slime. You can register for the class online. I wouldn't try calling the store bc I kept doing that and they said the vm mailbox was always full. Lols read more

Took my daughter and her soccer teammates here on two separate occasions. I would recommend going in on a weekday when it is less crowded and the line isn't as long. The line wouldn't be so bad if they had more than two staff members handling the "slime line". The variety of choices is great. Different kinds of slime, colors and all the fixings to go along with it. It is definitely a fun to-do with your kiddos or even other adults looking to get a youth fix. Pricing was acceptable and fair. The cons: I would have given this 4 stars, however, where this location is lacking is customer service and cleanliness. No one greets you at the door or even assists you in the process. The first time we came, we were left to figure it out on our own. On the weekend, having to wait in a long line because there were only two workers in the back is not acceptable. If you have to cut labor because you are slow during the weekdays, I get it. But you need to load up on the weekends for better customer service and train to upsell. That's where you will get your revenue and in turn give your customers amazing experiences. Need to attempt to be more sanitary by wiping down tables, mopping floors and having attendees sanitize their hands between each customer. read more

We ended up buying some slime because they let us test quite a few and were super friendly. They do birthday parties here and it seems like it would help a great birthday party idea for kids. It was ok. The prices were definitely fair for the quality of slime. The girl working there seemed like she'd rather do anything else in the world aside from interact with us or answer our questions. (There were exactly zero other customers at the time.) I took my daughter and a friend there after a half day at school. They were looking forward to the DYI slime bar. It's actually only "DYI" if you work there. The girl looked at us like we were crazy when we asked what we needed to do to buy slime, and she said it didn't matter which bar we used. Actually it does. A lot. The one at the back of the shop is where you can "make your own" but that means you tell the cashier what you want from each category: slime, scent, addons, etc. and you get to have them print a label on the container. So they never got to make it themselves; not even a little bit. If you use the bar along the right side of the shop, you get to choose each component and mix the slime yourself at home. Both girls were disappointed they didn't get to mix the slime themselves, so once we figured it out as we were leaving, they wished they had chosen the "to go" option instead. The quality of the slime for the price was a 5, on par with Snoop Slimes. But the shopping experience was so awkward and uncomfortable, I doubt we'll be back. * I have to add that as we were leaving a second girl came on shift (colorful hair) who seemed to have a much better attitude, so maybe it would have been a different experience if we had been able to deal with her instead. read more

Oh my gosh!! Had an amazing time at Slimeatory!! This is fun for kids and those of us that are kids at heart. Brought my nephew's kiddos and we all enjoyed ourselves. My family was excited to stop by as we had promised our two little one's all week; we'd treat them to Slimeatory. We arrived on a Saturday around noon. The whole experience was extremely underwhelming. We had never been there before, so when we walked in it took us more than 10 minutes to figure out what you're supposed to do (there was no greeter, no one at the register) Finally, we figured it out. While in line you do have the opportunity to discuss and decide what scents and colors you want to choose from (there's a massive selection) on the screens which made it easier for us however once we got to the "bar" the girls working seemed unenthusiastic, and we got the feeling they just didn't care to be there. My husband and I joked that maybe they hated their job? It was probably a very busy Saturday for them, and we sympathize with that. My kids still liked their slime & had the opportunity to play with their creations at the table stations. I'd probably still recommend for a first timer to visit but we more than likely won't return. read more

They only had one type of slime available (the most expensive one of course) but it was alright. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Overall, price is a bit high. For 2 slimes with no extras, it was about $42. Not insane, but higher than other slimes. They did make my hands a little oily and some of the charms fall right out. Not sure if that's normal because I have never played with slime or had that texture. Slimeatory Gilbert and their employees are horrible! My daughter and I have spent $200.00 on Slime. In less than a month it has gone moldy. Vanessa, Chi, Marie and especially Brooklyn gave nothing but crappy attitude and refused to do anything but offer to give us replacement slime for 2 of the 8 containers. This is HORRIBLE customer service. The have admitted that the have an issue with the slime going moldy, and basically said too bad. I left the store with my grandkids and they had the audacity to call Security. Thanks for upsetting my grandkids. way to cater to kids!!! Don't buy from here. Extremely disappointed in how this company handles faulty product and dissatisfied customers. I took my 4 year old daughter to buy slime for the very first time in her life which ended up a complete mess and us leaving empty handed after paying for the slime bar experience. They had us pick out a slime base and explained that they had different textures, and we touched all of them without any complications. We were never once told while making the product that it was a "stickier" slime comparatively to other options. When we got to the table to play with our creation and mix our additives it became Extremely sticky and we were unable to remove it from our hands. After 4 bottles of activator and 15 minutes (maybe more) of an employees time trying to help us remove the mess from our skin it was quite obvious that there was something wrong. When my husband asked if there was some kind of exchange we could do because what was happening was clearly not normal or acceptable to play with he was snapped at employee " Amira" that she would help him after she helped us try to clean our hands. When it became evident that she could not remove the slime from our hands completely, nor had a sink for us to clean our hands I asked her to stop so I could take my daughter and myself to a restroom to wash our hands. Which we had to do 3-4 times just to get the slime mostly off of our skin. "Amira" was apologetic during the 15ish minutes she had to leave her station to try and get as much slime off of our hands as possible , but also claiming there was absolutely no way we would be allowed to exchange or refund the product and that it was our fault for choosing a sticky slime. Which was the first time we even heard that we "picked" a sticky slime. There needs to be a better policy in place. To have my daughter make a slime and be so excited but not even able to play with or bring it home was terribly heartbreaking. If they had even offered to give us any kind of discount or solution I would have been happy to purchase something else. But we were just snapped at and treated like annoying children who needed help cleaning up a mess we made. The employee could not even clean it off of us. That can't be right??? All while other customers could see and hear what was happening. It was such a negative experience and I feel so sad for my daughter. She doesn't understand. read more

Don't waste your money! I took my kids and their friends to make slime. The whole process was a bit confusing and didn't seem intuitive to me. We were going to do the take home kits but when we inquired about the DIY bar we decided it would be easier to have someone else assemble the slime than babysit 5 kids assemble their own. There were three people helping at the bar and for whatever reason one gal would not let the 4 year old and 5 year old watch because they weren't purchasing slime. Instead of focusing on the five orders we had, she continued to tell me that the younger children needed to leave the counter and go sit down. Excuse me??? She got so upset because we didn't remove the two kids and have the kids in a single file line that she left the counter and had her manager take over. Listen, you're better off taking your kids to get a 5$ ice cream than a 20$ slime. The workers won't treat you like an inconvenience and you won't have to worry about your 8 year old turning it into a necklace ruining their shirt and hair.
