Slice: Burnt crust (I don't like that) and was there sauce on the pizza? Dry Scoop: I had the chocolate peanut butter. It was good but I would suggest getting some interesting flavors! It was nifty how they opted to have two stores in one. That's right folks, you don't have to wait in the pizza line if you just want ice cream (and vice versa!) If you have a teen daughter, they will like the handsome young men working here (when we walked in there were some groupies on a Saturday night.) Hell, even I want to take pictures of the place. The pizza shows promise at first glance. Those pepperoni cups curl up just right, crispy and inviting. But that's where the romance ends. The crust is just... there. The sauce might as well be a rumor. And the cheese? It does its job with all the enthusiasm of a Monday morning DMV worker. Look, it's not bad pizza. When you're hungry, it'll do the job. But it's the kind of slice that makes you understand why New Yorkers get so defensive about their pies. It's food designed by focus groups, served in a room that looks like it was decorated by an algorithm. The ice cream side of the operation might be their saving grace - those scoops look like they could offer some real comfort on a hot day. Maybe we'll give that a shot when summer rolls around. Yesterday was my first time giving Slice and Scoop a try. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the WONDERFUL manager (Bella). Because of her and how she professionally handled the situation, this place receives 3 stars. That is high from being at 0. I initially wanted to give this place 0 stars. I cant go higher than 3 because I am not taking the food into consideration. I ordered 2 pies. 1 Chicken pesto and 1 Pepperoni. I am a believer if you can make a simple pepperoni or cheese pizza, delicious, then you can make pizza. Looks - the pizzas looks legit. I like this Neapolitan style type of pizza. If you know, pizza like this, will and can come a bit burnt around the edges. It's inevitable. To me that's what gives this style of pizza character. It's like, if you want a deep dish you know you will receive thick dough (pause). So I don't understand when people just point out the burnt edge, etc. If that's the case then go and get a pizza at Dominos, Pizza Hut or your nearest gas station. This is not the style of pizza for you. Taste - I didn't end up eating it, as I lost my appetite for this place and ended up buying elsewhere. Experience - Long story short, my order was messed up, not to any fault of my own. Once I arrived home, 20 minutes later, opened the box and the order was messed up. It was a simple fix, just remake the pie. I was willing to drive another 45 minutes to and from, Slice and scoop just to pick it up, but the person on the phone made it seem like that was rocket science. Per the individual on the phone, he was not trying to remake the pie. I was willing to return the wrong one. He proceeded to give me bogus directions on how to rectify the matter. But the only way to rectify it would be to remake it and it was clear that he was not willing to. I drove back to Slice and Scoop and just requested a full refund at this point. It would have been easier and cost effective for the business to just remake the pie but now I don't want either pies. So now the business would lose out on more money. Not sure if the individual was new and training but they need to be retrained. I am only sharing this because I am transparent. Now I like to give the good the bad and the ugly. Thank you Bella, you really turned it around for me. This was going to be a one and done for me but I will give it another try and give another FAIR review, this time based on pizza. Assuming Bella is there to make sure it goes smoothly. I will not go into details on how Bella rectified the situation but I will say this, she did what she deemed appropriate to ensure that she does not lose a customer. She went above and beyond. She started by actively listening, she acknowledged my concerns all while showing empathy. Just that helped to turn a bad situation into a good one. It's not always about the food but how you are taken care of. Hospitality is not for the weak. Thank you again Bella. You did great and I continue to apologize for getting you involved. read more

Easy meal with dinner and dessert in one spot! We stopped in with a variety of food cravings - one kid wanted salad, another wanted wings and we wanted a slice of pizza. We had all of the above with a little rooms left for Sundays for dessert. Yes, we were rolling out, good thing the doors were large. We had the specialty slice and scoop pizza mixed with chicken bacon ranch and a Caprese pizza mixed with the blanco pizza. We liked the caprice pizza best. The scoops was spicy, so it may be a little tough for kids depending on their palate. Wings were breaded pretty heavily. Salad was our favorite- so good- everyone wanted more. We had the Greek salad. Sundays and ice cream scoops it were delicious. I don't think we would eat as much next time, but we were so excited about trying a new place that we had to taste it all! I'd probably stop in for a healthy salad, slice of pepperoni pizza and sweat treat to balance it out. Pizza if offered thing crust and thicker. read more

Good pizza but service is always lacking every time I come here. Not poor service by any means, just mediocre. It's a younger staff and texting is more of a priority than the customer. Delicious every time! The caprese pizza is my absolute favorite and I always end up ordering it. Today I tried the wings and they were super crispy and delicious! Definitely try the Thai sweet chili for a sweet and spicy treat. Can't go wrong with ice cream after pizza and love that it's in the same place. Great concept and great location! read more

Came by here with my son Friday night, as they are participating in the Lord of the pies, but in all fairness, I have been here before, although I don't recall writing a review for them they offer up a really nice thin pizza, but they also do have some thick options, my son got cheese and I tried their grilled chicken and I found their slices to be acceptable and I was reminded that I really ought to order a full large pizza from them sometime since it is fairly close to where I live, and conveniently, they are right off of 295.. read more

What an adorable little spot that has two separate counters for ice cream and pizza. You can't get anything better than this for a quick bite! They also have some apps like chicken tenders and fries and mozzarella sticks. Pizza is actually ridiculously good. My favorite was the pillowy Margherita pizza squares. I could eat half a pie, to be honest. They have some great deals where you can get a slice and a drink, combo or late night where you can get buy one get one slices. Great new slice and scoop spot in Smithfield. Two things I love: Pizza and Ice cream and I can get them both in the same building! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and plenty of flavors. Go left for a slice and/or go right for a scoop. The pizza was thin and crispy with fresh ingredients. While we waited for our pizza, we shared an apple pie sundae that was so delicious. Went here on a weekend evening a few weeks back with some friends The ambiance of the restaurant was neat as there were two sides of the restaurant for ice cream and pizza but that was probably the only good thing about this place. The business had one employee working both slice & scoop who delivered exceptional service but had told us they had been working doubles to support the owner as they're a new business. The owner on the other hand, proceeded to make half of everything we ordered and then hand it off to the one employee he had (2-3 ice creams and a few slices of pizza) and ask us questions about his own menu options. Overall it felt like I probably knew more of what they were offering than the owner of this establishment. read more

Got charged twice for one meal and management refused to refund for their mistake. Called and said they would look into it, a week later still hadn't heard back so called and they said they looked into it and there's nothing wrong on their end but they NEVER even called back to relay that message. First time- ordered chicken tenders which were plump, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The honey mustard dipping sauce was so good. We also had steak n cheese deluxe which was delicious. I was able to visit this establishment today with the grandkids. It was a great kid friendly atmosphere. We went up to the counter and ordered our food. There was a great selection of items that we could have ordered but stuck with the traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza. Pizza came out with 15 minutes. It tasted great. I loved that the pepperoni was crispy on the edges. The kids absolutely lived the pizza as well. After eating so well they were able to get a treat in the same place and ordered ice cream. I absolutely loved the concept of having full service pizza and ice cream all in the same place. It was a great place for kids!! Will be visiting this place again soon. read more

Ordered a few pies for takeout and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza. The pepperoni was delicious, small-ish and cupping pieces of pepperoni with a nice crispiness. Went for the first time cute place with pizzeria on one side and ice cream on the other. It was kind of busy and it looked like they didn't have enough help. The girl taking our order was from the Coffee place next door which the owner also owns. There was someone working at the ice cream part and two people making pizzas. They had e a plastic partition up in front of pizzas that are already made since you can get pizza by the slice here. Unfortunately nothing in front of the pizzas to tell you what they are. From the pizza oven being so loud person couldn't here us ask what types of pizzas were there and just kept us waiting there while the young lady working the register helped person in front of us. The place was very clean. The staff was very nice. We got pizza, didn't try the ice cream. We ended up getting a mix of some of the already made pizza slices. It seemed to be too pricey doing it that way. I should have checked ahead of time. My fault, but it ended up costing more than 1.5x The pizza didn't wow us. It wasn't terrible, just not what I was expecting. It was a little dry, seemed to be missing something. Not sure. As ours was made prior and warmed up, I am sure getting one fresh will be slightly different for sure, but it needed something. First time tried the wings and got a hair in them. This time got a buffalo sandwich which was poorly made and impossible to eat without a fork. Also, there was a white tag from the bread bag in my sandwich. Chips were a little greasy but okay. Single slices come from pre-made pizzas that are reheated - not too bad for reheating.
