As far as the food goes, it's 5 stars all around. The service can be a little chaotic at times, but that almost feels like part of the charm. There's definitely a vibe to this place, and one thing is certain: they absolutely know their biscuits. BB

Self service breakfast sandwich shop with a few seats inside and outside. Their biscuits are sooo buttery and delicious. We got the bacon and egg sandwich to share because they look big and extremely heavy. It was delicious, but couldn't not think of the amount of fat you're having lol. I'd definitely go back and try their poblano one too.

Went to check out what all the fuss was about regarding the breakfast sandwich - supposedly one of the best in Toronto! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came on a Monday morning - surprisingly busy!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich - on a cheddar and jalapeño biscuit. The star on the show is the biscuit for sure - large, flavourful and doesn't crumble apart like a lot of biscuits at other places. The hot honey was a nice touch. I didn't find the egg or chicken sausage blew me away. Regardless, the sandwich worked!! It's a big one so come hungry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very small interior with a few seats on bar stools and two tables outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lot of take away!!!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow, what a breakfast sandwich. I got the sausage, egg and cheese on a buttermilk biscuit. Incredible. So big, I couldn't even finish it. The hash brown was just ok, but the sandwich is incredible. Oh yeah, hot honey. Perfection.

My boyfriend really wanted to try this place so we headed over and had a great time. It was about noon when we arrived, and it was pretty empty inside. Since we were the only ones, service was quick. They were pretty friendly too. I ordered the special which was the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, and my boyfriend got the Sausage, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich. We both chose the buttermilk biscuits for our sandwiches. And even though we chose our own biscuits, we were surprised to see that the biscuit size was huge and complimentary to our sandwich contents. We're just used to tiny biscuits lol. Anyways I loved my sandwich and my boyfriend enjoyed his. The chicken was good. I'm all about good sauce, so I loved the BBQ sauce. The sauce really tied all the ingredients together. This sandwich had all my favorite things in it: chicken, tasty sauce, pickles, and coleslaw. So it's no surprise that I loved it. There was a good amount of pickles in here too. This was really flavorful, and I enjoyed each bite. I also threw in a hashbrown last minute, and it was great. It was crispy, crunchy, and had a great golden brown color. Overall, just a solid hashbrown. We loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a little small inside and we didn't have much space to put our heavy coats, but that wasn't much of a problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For a breakfast sandwich, it's a little pricey but in proportion to the quality of the sandwich and how large it is, I'd say it's reasonable. We had such an amazing experience, food was wonderful and we definitely won't forget this place. Without a doubt we'd come back again.

The breakfast sandwich was amazing--hands down one of the best I've had. The biscuit was especially outstanding: incredibly fluffy and easily the highlight of the meal. There was about a 15-minute wait, but it was absolutely worth it once I got my food.

Wow just wow. I think it's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. I had gotten the breakfast biscuit with bacon and honey, along with a hash brown. The biscuit came with two thick cuts of bacon and a fried egg. The hash brown was hot and fluffy. A little more on the thin side but still delicious. Service was quick you order at the counter and the sandwich took about 10 minutes to be made. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself had a counter for folks to dine in and a couple tables outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I'm in Toronto again I will def be coming back to try other things like the biscuits and gravy.

Wow oh wow... I'm so late to trying this and you're missing out if you haven't tried it. Sleepy Pete's sell breakfast sandwiches with simple but delicious combos. I got the bacon and egg, the hot honey and cheese was AMAZING on top of their homemade jalapeño biscuit. The sandwiches holds so well it doesn't break apart easily which I love. The hot honey is very flavourful as well, actually spicy! It is a little bit heavy so 1 sandwich is good for one person or to share with 2 people. The hashbrown was good but nothing crazy. lemonade was really strong and not sweet so if that's something you like go for it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only 6 seatings inside, barstool only. 4 seatings outside patio. No restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a cash coupon discount as well

Love me a good breakfast sandwich so decided to give this place a shot! It feels like sandwiches are the go-to thing in Toronto, so I'm on a quest to find my favourite sandwich. Price $8-$20 per person Items ordered: -Sausage and egg on jalapeño buttermilk biscuit Food Quality (Menu, Taste, Portion size) - 4/5 The Menu has 3 breakfast sandwiches, plus a few lunch sandwiches, pastries and coffee. The jalepeno buttermilk biscuit was definitely the star of the show, made in house and incredibly soft and buttery. It is a decent kick so watch out if you aren't into spice. The hot honey was a great added touch. The chicken sausage was good, but I think if it was bit more meaty/oily it would have worked with the spice better. I want to try the bacon next time as it might compliment the biscuit better. The size was the same as a normal breakfast sandwich I'd say. Atmosphere - 5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was an old school vibe, typical of what you'd see in Kennsington. The vibe was really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not much room into eat inside, so recommend grabbing your food and going to a park near by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They sell their own merchandise. Service - 5/5 The staff was really friendly. Very helpful when giving suggestions. They handled the crowd well as it was sorta packed. Will I go again? Yes sir! Need to try the bacon version! Went on a solo Kensington market adventure and stumbled here looking for breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The line fairly long and there is not much seating inside the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the time it took to line up, order and get my food it was about 20-25 minutes (just a heads up for those who are hoping for a quick 'in and out' breakfast pick up) I ordered the: 12oz Viet Iced coffee - $6 - the Viet iced coffee was decent, it was strong and wasn't very sweet, I personally like more condense milk for Viet coffee (6.5/10) Breakfast sausage and egg biscuit - $10.50 - The Sausage and egg were cooked on the grill, served with melted cheddar and hot honey. I ordered this sandwich with their Cheddar and Jalapeño biscuit. It was absolutely fantastic! The hot honey was such a nice addition for the breakfast sandwich, the portion was also really good and the cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious! (9.5/10) Ordering the sandwich with their Cheddar jalapeño biscuit was also extra cost, but worth it in my humble opinion. The wait was pretty long and the coffee sandwich was not cheap but it was really good! I recommend trying! In total I spent $21.45 after tax and a small tip TL:DR There's no option to give 4.5/5 stars but will leave the review a 5. I was really impressed by how delicious their breakfast was! I just thought the Viet coffee was mediocre in comparison to the breakfast sandwich!

Unreal breakfast sandwiches. I lovedddddd the sausage, egg & cheese sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere of the shop is somewhat chaotic because it is so small that it feels overstimulating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But nice for grab n go![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Chicken sausage + egg
    Reh L.

Chicken sausage + egg breakfast sandwich was delish! Hashbrown was just a deep fried cavendish frozen patty, nothing too special but still solid. Overall the meal was super heavy, but still pretty good. They need some pickles or some sort of acid to cut the richness.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich.

I hadn't heard of Sleepy Pete's until a few days ago, but given the crowd we saw during a recent visit, I must be in the minority on that score. We arrived around lunchtime on a recent Saturday and the place was packed. So packed, in fact, that we waited almost a half hour to order and receive our food! It was totally worth the wait, though. We decided to share a couple of their offerings, the Sausage & Egg Sandwich ("Chicken sausage, egg, hot honey sauce, and Kraft cheese on a homemade biscuit") and the Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Breaded chicken breast, hot lemon pepper sauce, pickles, and mayo on a jalapeño cheddar biscuit"). They're both absolutely phenomenal. The Sausage & Egg Sandwich is so much better than most other breakfast sandwiches, mostly due to that delectable fresh biscuit and the uniquely-spiced (and absolutely addictive) sausage. The Fried Chicken Sandwich is just as good, if not better. All the components work really well together, but the star here is that chicken. It's perfectly breaded and that breading is just so zesty and tasty. I actually wound up taking the sandwich apart so I could eat the chicken by itself. It's that good. I'll hopefully return really soon, because their other offerings sounded just as appealing.

    Sausage and egg sandwich deliciousness

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Food (3.5/5) - the menu is a combination of small and large plates ideal for sharing. A cosmopolitan menu of diverse items from many different cuisines. - Baja Caesar Salad - baby romaine, corn, caesar dressing, agave bacon, croutons, grana padano, chili spice. This was pretty good, romaine was fresh and sauce not too overpowering with a slight kick to it. - Coconut Shrimp with mango salsa, lime, chipotle aioli. Also pretty good... shrimp was cooked fine and the garnishes worked with it. - Tuna Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, corn, red onions, leche de tigre, cancha, plantain. This one was average. The sashimi chunks were pretty average and the overall mix seemed to lack flavour and moistness. - Hamachi Crudo with avocado, elderflower, pickled strawberry, jalapeño, pistachio, basil, olive oil. This was one pretty bad... some of the worst hamachi I have ever had! Overly fishy and off-colour. Service (4/5) - server and assistants were friendly and generally attentive. Some lapses in check ins from time to time. Rooftop is first come, first serve so a reservation does not mean you will be seated quickly and may have to hang out in the interior bar or tables until ready.
