The owner, Graham called me to offer boarding for the next two nights at no charge to help us due to the fire. When we brought Sunny in that afternoon, they had already called our vet to verify his vaccinations and he was quickly checked in. The lady who checked him in advised that they would bathe him as well free of charge. I went in and asked for a bath and nail trim and was told it would be 30 minutes before they could see him. He was placed in a kennel while he waited his turn, and I walked home. When I came back to pick him up, she informed me they were unable to trim his nails because he was too scared and even had to muzzle him. I was shocked when I was given my total of $65. I asked for clarification, and the woman said that is their standard rate for a bath. It would be one thing if my dog required brushing or trimming etc. but he is a little pup with a smooth coat. I would recommend asking for their prices upfront. I know I wish I would have.

For the last 2 stays, they have "forgotten" to administer her eye medication. This is in spite of verbal and written instructions. Additionally, it has only been by happenstance that we discovered the repeated missed meds (incorrect charges on the receipt). As a result, our dog has trouble seeing and has great discomfort for days after the stay until her regiment is back on track. Giving feedback to the manager took 2 weeks, with multiple phone calls and voicemail messages. The manager promised this mistake would not happen again and they were implementing changes in their process. We gave them one more chance. Unfortunately, this EXACT scenario occurred during the second stay. Our dog went 4 days without the correct dosage of her medication. Her eyes were cloudy and obscured at pick up. We are supremely disappointed with the abysmal care they show to the vulnerable animals in their care. Your pet won't be able to tell you how they are (mis)treated during their stay. If you love your pet, don't leave them here.

The displacement and shock of losing home left one dog with such anxiety and ptsd and neither had ever been boarded or separated from their human. The Lodge and Animal Hospital called us daily with reports on their "emotional well being", and did Everything they could for them based on knowing the situation and they assisted me as the family contact in finding great piece of mind that the dogs were ok. Though the facility kennels each dog separately we requested they be walked together and treated as a bonded pair to minimize the larger dog's stress. They heeded every request they could understanding the emergency situation the dogs were still undergoing. We cannot thank them enough for making the entire experience go as smoothly as possible For the local pet owner and her cherished fur children.
