I'll get a phone call and I miss it.And so they tell me to fill out the online form which I do, and then I never hear back from them. This company is the worst medical Co. I've ever dealt I rented a cpap through first healthcare Co. For 12 Mos they said it would be mine afterwards. Due needing a new healthcare they told I had to start over ten more mos@ 62.00 I said no way, my Dr office called them they my Dr. Office I only had 4 more months left,they didn't tell me that. I will never deal with them on top of that a nurse told me one of them said I was difficult to work. I have used sleep solutions for many years. Was happy in the past. Since covid they have dropped the ball many times. They totally dropped the ball with my Phillips machine replacement last year and now I have learned it has been recalled for safety issues and they never reached out to me. Sent a message to customer service a few days ago and didn't get a response. I'm not set up on autopay but someone at their office initiated a payment without my authorization. If I had known they would go into my account without my permission then I would have never purchased my medical equipment from this place. I'll be filing an official complaint with the BBB for this practice which is illegal. 8/19- I have yet to receive a response via email from the company. I am unable to speak with anyone on the phone during business hours, which is why I emailed and expected a response in email. I would also like all communication to be documented as this is not the first time I have had a dispute about being billed incorrectly. I was no where near 6 weeks late on my payment. This practice of taking payment from your card without notice is bad customer service and it may or may not be illegal. Similar experience to other reviewers. Terrible customer service. CPAP machine they provided recalled. Offered no assistance - no updates, no replacement rental, no machines available, nothing. When informed that an echocardiogram had showed my right ventricle had become enlarged, they said they could offer no help. When replacement arrived, they declined to provide supplies. (It is as if they wanted to pretend to not be implicated by the massive lawsuit that must be on the horizon for distributing cancer causing machines.) It was inexplicable that they didn't bend over backward - not for me - but for the company to save themselves. Stay far away! Today I went and had an appointment with Eric. We discussed pros and cons for different mask options. Eric listened to my concerns, answered my questions and made some recommendations. Where to begin. I let them know that I needed a new mask on day 2 of starting my treatment. Their (confirmed) canned response was to give it a few weeks to be sure. Mind you they have a one month mask replacement policy. They obviously do not want to abide by this because they push it off very aggresively. Due to some health stuff that kept me from being able to follow up as much as I wanted to they refused me my free replacement mask. My argument was that if they had not given me their canned "wait and see" pushed down my throat, we would have never been in this situation from day 2. Do not use them. I have been using Sleep Solutions for a couple of years now and am surprised to read so many bad reviews. I honestly have had great customer service from them with everything that I've needed. The only issues that I have had have been miscommunication on my part. This is the first time I've had to use any type of device like this in my life, and they have been very helpful with not only getting me the right equipment to make it comfortable for me to sleep, but also coaching me through the process of getting used to the machine when I had a lot of trouble in the beginning. Now I can't imagine how I slept without it in the past, and I would highly recommend Sleep Solutions to anyone I know. read more

I just wanted to say that Sleep Solutions, whom I've been using for about a year now has always provided me with excellent service. I'm really just chiming in here to try and negate some of the one star posts. Looks like people that don't know how to do business for the most part. First, I have exceptional BCBS PPO coverage and they do charge a monthly rent to own policy along with free cellular modem comms to your provider so that they know you're in compliance and your insurance keeps paying. At least with my insurance you pay a fraction of the cost of the machine over 10 months and then it's your's. I had to have the cellular compliance device installed for 90 days, after which Sleep solutions sent me postage paid return packaging to ship the cell modem back. As for resupply, I always get a reminder that I'm due for filters, mask, hose, etc. I can order via their automated system or call and talk to a human (which I just did). Their customer service has always been pleasant and professional. Matter of fact they had to call BCBS to see if I'd met my annual deductible, and said they'd call me back. They did so before I could finish this review! You can't order Jimmy Johns that fast! Professional Service, prompt mailing of supplies or pick up at their location. It's out of the way for me to drive there, but the two times I did so I spent about 5-10 minutes there and was out the door completely satisfied. My brother also uses this place and has had the same experience. Beats Wirght and Phillipis or Binsons hands down! read more

The people there are extremely friendly and helpful. However, their automated reminder service is annoying in that if you can't order, there is no phone option to temporarily stop the calls. In addition, the are bad at updating your information. After 1.5 years, they still had an old phone number. Finally, when getting new equipment, their follow up is slow to non existent and you have to call them. read more

Now forced into litigation due to Sleep Solutions refusal to honor a warranty FROM THE MANUFACTURER for my bipap. Have been in contact with my insurance company - BCBS, National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association, Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, State Department of Insurance and have received some excellent advice from the Veteran's Administration and my Union, the American Federation of Teachers. It's rare to find this combination of incompetence and apathy in a company, especially one privately owned and relatively small. Situation 1: They would not order my CPAP supplies until my provider confirmed I had a current prescription. But there was a problem with the messaging system at my sleep doctor. They basically tossed up their hands until I implored them multiple times to just actually call the office. The good news is that in the process I figured out that I can get the supplies just as cheaply from Amazon, which delivers them faster and allows me to order them with one click from my phone rather than go through a touch-tone phone ordering system that would have been out of date in the late 1990s (in theory they have web ordering, but it NEVER works). Situation 2: My CPAP began to make a loud noise, likely due to a bad bearing. They told me to bring it in. But when I did, they told me they literally could not do anything and handed me a piece of paper with a repair company's website on it. Not sure why I needed to take off work and drive to Troy to get a hard copy of a website address, but there you go. I ask about what my insurance covers and they say, nothing. I ask about a loaner and they say they don't have any. I ask why they don't facilitate repairs since they are the supplier and they literally just shrug. Anyway, I leave and call my insurance company and they tell me that they absolutely will cover the cost of repairs (minus 20% coinsurance) and/or a replacement machine. I call back to the company and someone else there says, sure, we do that (before they said they didn't), and we can give you a loaner (before they said they didn't have any) and send your machine to be repaired (which before they said they didn't do). So I have to drive all the way back down there in rush hour traffic for the second time in the same day. Instead of a sincere apology, I got nothing but a load of excuses. They had the audacity to offer me a "free pack of CPAP wipes" for my trouble, something so utterly valueless as to be a complete insult. Then when I got the replacement machine home and set it up, I discovered they had not put the water chamber in it, which I need, so it's basically useless. They literally cannot do one thing right. At one point they even turned to arguing with each other about their own policy/process. It would be comical if it wasn't impacting my health. Here's the real kicker: I've dealt with the owner of the company both times and she is the nastiest, rudest, and most incompetent person I've ever come across in any business dealing. Imagine the worst customer service you've ever had at a fast food restaurant, or from a toll booth worker, or anyone in a job where you wouldn't expect them to care that much. She's 100x worse... and she's owns the company. So you can imagine the level of competence and attention to customer service that happens on down the line. read more

NEVER AGAIN. Choice them to supply me with my new bypass machine. I had a fitting with what I find out was the training she did not tell me that they only have large harness left which was so large from I had the straps wrapped around themself. After struggling with them I called Chris which I had an appointment with in the first place and he had me come in to replace the strap that was way too large. I had lots of leakage after that second fitting I went to my sleep specialist which indicated the small cushion I had on my machine list too small also. I called the company back, Chris had me see somebody else because he was off for two days. I called and the woman was extremely rude to me and said it would have to be out of pocket expense of 50 bucks. I will not return for parts and after paying off the unit in a year I will go to Binsons for now on. I thought going to a sleep specialist would give better service. Chris told me I missed the exchange day by two days. You think since it was their fault from day 1 they would help. I was impressed with Chris even though he couldn't help. AVOID THIS COMPANY! I got a CPAP machine from Sleep Solutions and several of the parts were defective or incompatible with one another. If that wasn't bad enough, Sleep Solutions charged me for tubing for my CPAP machine, but then, a few months later when I returned the machine, they wanted the tubing back that I had paid for. The disgusting part was I could see that they were cleaning tubing in some sort of solution. I spoke to a representative about this, and she claimed that the tubing was not to be returned or reused. Great service. I was visiting from out of town. My CPAP didn't make the flight so well. Didn't work when I got here. Called Sleep Solutions, spoke with Jeff and explained the problem. Arranged to take my machine to him for evaluation. After concluding the unit was leaking internally, Jeff tried to find someone locally who may be able to repair it. After that failed, Jeff found a used unit from another local source which I was able to purchase for a very decent price. Jeff transferred my settings to the new unit, explained the differences in features from my old one, and didn't charge me anything even though I would have paid for his time at the very least. I wasn't looking forward to a week away from home with a broken CPAP. Sleep Solutions came through for me. This is customer service at its finest. read more

I received my cpap machine from sleep solutions, got home the antenna was broken out of the box. The gave me a new machine Got a call, do I want new supplies, I said yes, I had to chase them to get me the order to my house, seemed quite clueless Got smart, I thought. Went to office to get supplies, 45 minutes later and I was frustrated for the transaction. Waited 10 minutes just to be recognized. Then they hosed the bill Told them to take me off email list, still get emails Call me at 8pm for feedback, God been working all day they don't get it, I do not want to be bothered! Finally I communicate with them and they convince me give them one more try they have fixed their glitches. I got a reminder asking if I want new cpap parts, I say yes, provided credit info,, 7 days and still do not have it. For heavens sake I've ordered bicycle parts from Hong Kong and got them in 5 days. I'm 15 miles away. I'd go to the store but do not want to invest another 45 minutes while they figure out what to do. In the end it is my fault, I keep trying, they keep lying, I must must be insane. I needed a BiPap machine after my last sleep study and the doctor that I go to told me that he uses a company who services his patients and that they would call me and set up a time to get me the new machine. This place was Sleep Solutions Home Medical. I received a call from Charmagne and she began to go over the machine and then the pricing. Pricing? The machine was covered under my insurance I told her and that there was no cost to myself. I verified this information earlier and right after our phone call. She insisted that I was wrong, I didn't know what I was talking about and that I needed to talk to my insurance company because she just verified the information and that I was incorrect. Back to the pricing. Charmagne told me that the unit was a rent to own piece and that I would make monthly payments on the device until I owned it. Charmagne told me that almost no insurance pays for a machine outright anymore and that rent to own is the coverage of the vast majority of insurance policies. BS. I called the insurance company and they said that the reverse was true and that renting is not preferred because they don't want to deal with a claim every month. This is a scam that they use to force patients to pay coinsurance MONTHLY when it is not necessary. Rather than pay one coinsurance for the unit, you are being forced into a monthly payment plan for them. They care more about scamming you out of a monthly rental payment instead of doing things right. They are gouging people. Stay away. read more

I agree with other reviews where they say customer service is VERY poor and I too have been told they were going to help, after sending me away with faulty equipment. But when I follow up, I get the run around. I am now going to pursue with my insurance company, to find how I can switch to Binsons who have been serving customers in my area for many years. read more

They are helpful to get your business, but will not in customer service. They gave me a machine that was defective and expect me to travel to Troy (over an hour drive) on a weekday to have it fixed. If your insurance company gives you a choice in home care provider, please choose another company and save yourself the headache. I was using another company for 8 years with no problem until this company became the provider for my CPAP equipment. I needed a particular mask, and was told that they didn't carry this mask. I told them that my previous cpap provider didn't carry it, but they would order it for me. I was told that they didn't carry it and would not order it. Called my insurance company, and thankfully i had other options. The new company that service me, didn't carry it, but like my first provider, they were willing to order it for me. I have only dealt with Sleep Solutions on behalf of patients who utilize this company, so have no personal experience with them other than this. Patients I have spoke to have been satisfied with the service they receive from them. Like the posting from Henry A., I felt I needed to also comment that the 'rent-to-own' is not a scam but is what I have seen the health insurance companies go to and the medical supply companies have to follow the insurance company's plan. The machines are expensive and there are a lot of people who start using them and then decide they do not like it or it is uncomfortable so they stop using them. There are several steps to obtaining a CPAP: there has to be a script from the physician, the sleep study has to show a medical reason for the CPAP or BiPAP, the medical supply company needs to show the insurance company whether the patient is compliant in using the device (usually needs to be used 21 days out of 30 for 3 months), the insurance pays for the device if the patient is compliant in using it, and will continue to pay until it is paid completely and it is then owned by the patient. There is a monthly co-pay associated with this but when you figure it out, it should not be more than your normal co-pay would be if paid at one time. It's just spread over 10 months. I know a lot of patients misunderstand what the insurance company tells them, especially if the question is just "is this covered" and the answer is "yes", but Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, HealthPlus, BlueCare Network all require the 'rent-to-own'. This is not a scam at all but the way things now have to be done. read more
