At first I was going to go to one of the bigger company stores but when I looked online I just felt they were overcharging on everything, whereas the Mattress guy gave me a great deal and took away my old mattress for a small and reasonable fee. All in all the amount I paid was great value for the great quality and I love that it's made locally and I'm supporting a small local business. The delivery guys were super friendly and easy going and my whole experience was just fantastic. I would definitely recommend and will go back for my next purchase. I had made the mistake of trying a different Canadian-made mattress in between surrendering my old Plasmabed mattress (which lasted for years!) and getting my new Plasmabed mattress, and will not make that mistake again. The store is bright, well laid out and I was able to find the Bloom Cloud for one last test. Sales staff were prompt, courteous and the entire experience of buying it and setting of delivery​ I found to be very quick. A few days later the delivery​ people called and then arrived at 9 AM​ which was fantastic. They put on the special covers to their boots and were in and out in less than twenty minutes. My installer had to go to a hardware store to buy the part adding another hour to my installation bill. Coast Appliances has lots of rules that favours their company but nothing that helps the customer. I have called countless times, left messages each time, finally wrote an e-mail as their robot message machine suggested. Manager called me, left a message while I was unavailable. That was 2 weeks ago. More calls, more messages. It is not an expensive part but the extra hour added to my bill is. I should not have to pay the installer for that extra hour. Where is your rule that keeps your customers satisfied? Be aware that they have No Follow Up once the machine leaves their store.

This is an employee review, so a little different perspective than the other reviews. I was brought…read morein to help with sales inside the store while also developing outside sales revenue as well. The owner is nice and the other employees were great. The problem was the wife of the owner who has kind of taken over running the front part of the store. She hired me and I was supposed to work 3 shifts a week in-store and then the outside sales on my own time. The pay for the inside sales was hourly while the compensation for the outside revenue would be commission although she kept avoiding my questions when I tried to pin her down on how that worked. She was always evasive about it and the regular wages were paid in an even sketchier way. My first six shifts went fine and I was selling things and negotiating pricing. The customers liked me and I had even gotten two solid leads on outside sales with a pretty big builder and a new private school. I came into my next shift and worked only to have my immediate Manager tell me the owner's wife had replaced me, but that I could still do the outside sales if I wanted. Yeah, right. Sum total. 7 shifts worked. I signed an employment agreement, but was never given tax forms to fill out. I got completely screwed by this company and by the wife of the owner. Prospective employees beware.
