I have been shopping for an office desk chair for a couple of months now. There were certain…read morefeatures I definitely needed in my desk chair, like the ability for the whole seat to tip back. These types of chairs are available online, but I didn't want to buy a chair without being able to sit in it. There are very few places that have a large selection of office chairs in stock to sit in and try. Hudson Valley Office Furniture was amazing. Huge selection in stock. Both new and used. The salesmen, Mark and Blase, spent time with me showing me a bunch of different chairs with the features I needed in my price range. The chair I eventually settled on was a little more than I wanted to spend, and they were able to give me a discount to get it into my budget. These guys were friendly, courteous, and professional. The warranty they offered me on the chair is well beyond the industry standard. The chair is super comfortable, and even my cat Charlie approves of it! All around a great sales experience. If you're looking for a desk chair, or any office furniture, I definitely recommend Hudson Valley Office Furniture!

When you pull into the rural driveway and drive all of the way back to the warehouse, you're not sure if you've even got the right place, but then you figure it out. The owners are very courteous and helpful and they are constantly turning over merchandise. It's a very laid-back experience. They are willing to negotiate prices a little bit, also, even though their signs state otherwise. If you're short a couple of bucks, they'll let you slide.... I've purchased some high-quality, expensive office furniture in very good condition from here for only a fraction of the original cost. Like a solid cherry wood file cabinet by a top-name manufacturer for only $120.00, which would have cost me $600-700 new, and a solid wood large bookcase for only $65.00 which would have been two or three hundred new. I'm going back soon for more stuff! I'm not sure if they can deliver or not. I bring my own truck. CASH ONLY, THOUGH!!

I was then told I would have to pay return shipping myself. Their return policy says the customer is responsible--but that's buried in fine print. It's unfair and feels like a way to push responsibility onto the buyer even when the company is at fault. With physical stores now closed, you're relying on an online system that lacks transparency and accountability. I won't be shopping here again and encourage others to think twice.

I went with the intention of getting new kitchen curtains. There are no kitchen curtains to choose from. Those were something that you used to be able to find anywhere. It's also something you want to touch, look at, and determine if that's what you want. There is merchandise that doesn't need to be in stock to be purchased. For example: a bathroom scale. A picture of it with a description: price, dimensions, weight, maximum weight capacity, that's all you need to know, if that's what you want. It's not just Bed Bath & Beyond that's gone this route, all the other stores up here have followed suit.

This boutique shop is intentional and every single piece here is presented with a meaning. From the moment you walk in, you feel drawn. It's cozy, homey and you're guaranteed to find a gift for someone or even gift yourself something from this amazing place. The owner was even so kind to give me a further backstory on the candles I purchased made by an amazing, energetic, great grandmother, right in the Catskills, out of high quality beeswax. It was an absolute honor to come into this shop and feel like I left with a memory. A meaning that will increase value on my every day lifestyle.
