I have been coming to this store for years. Today's experience deserves a review. I went to buy a dress for a wedding I'm attending and had my 3 year old and 16 month old. I was so nervous because I didn't want them to break anything and thought it would be impossible to check anything out chasing them around. :) The owner and staff helped me so much, entertained my kiddos, helped me put a beautiful outfit together, etc. I felt taken care of and when leaving my 3 year old asked when we could back. So grateful for places like this. Such a beautiful experience. read more

I haven't been here in over 20 years but stopped in to get a last minute mother's day gift for my stepmom. The owner went above and beyond, giftwrapping my purchase and even taking the time to to show us that the handbag we selected had a very unique hidden pocket, she also thanked me for coming back after all these years. The store was just as I remembered and hadn't changed a bit. I regret my long absence and will definitely be returning for upcoming birthday presents and/or anniversary gifts. read more

Had the greatest experience from this shop. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. Plus a lot of healing reiki stuff from them. They carry TONS of things. If u love the scents and positive energy this is the place to go. read more

This lovely shop is a staple in the area - pretty much the only one like it in Middletown. Especially considering how rapidly the area has filled in with chain stores and restaurants, a locally owned shop like this is always a breath of fresh air. I've been going here since high school :) The selection varies over time but there's always a LOT to browse and you can easily look around for a while and still backtrack and find things you missed the first time. Prices are a little high but you also have to consider this is a gift shop that sells many hand made goods - this isn't your place to find mass produced junk. I love coming here to get incense. I've also purchased several jewelry items over the years here, some hand made and some not. They hold up well and I'm always complimented on them when I wear them :) The owner is always very sweet and friendly, when I see her there. A+ !! read more

Just stop in and you will see how awesome this store truly is. It's like it's Middletowns happy little secret that once you find you can't stop going to . Literally has everything that's cool and unique . Also you leave with a really good feeling every time ... if you haven't stopped in your missing out . read more

Cool stuff-oils, tie dye, tapestries, crystals, clothing- mostly made by artisans in the area. I feel that the product is extremely over priced. By the product, I mean everything in the store. I understand you have to make a living, but isn't this supposed to be a hippie place? Everyone just gives off this snob vibe. Ive been going here for years. The staff ha taken a dramatic downward twist. Try use to be so knowledgable and now it seems that I know more than the staff does! You can also tell that the store has a lot of products that are still trying to be sold from years ago. The music is normally decent, and then you hear weird pop that's too modern for the style. It jut doesn't make sense. Aside from all that I've said, I have been going there for years. I pay the prices I pay because there isn't anywhere in the area with nicer stone jewelry. The product is unique, and does have the amazing insence scent. The owner seems okay when you actually see her, too. I'd recommend this store only f you can't get to new paltz or the crystal connection I wurtsboro. read more

I found this universe about about 20 years ago...the best incense, clothing, handmade tyedye, beautiful caps in the chilly season, actual light weight cotton flowing yoga pants ideal for those hot summer days when you want to feel beautiful. Beautiful unique home wall art to gift someone with or for your own apartment. And the jewelry !! unique in this Middletown universe that has a Sunshine Studio...that you need to visit. You gotta go, really !! read more

My all time favorite boutique in the neighborhood. I've been shopping here since I was fourteen years old - literally 25 years now. You just walk in the door and you feel happy. Great place for Wiccan supplies, incense, candles, lotions, jewelry, purses, tye dyed clothing, metaphysical books - never mind the huge selection of crystals and gemstones. read more

I love this store it's just way overpriced. Bought a couple pairs of pants from here and all of them ripped within a week of wearing them

Sunshine Studios is your one stop shop for incense, jewelry, candles, scented oils, tarot cards, spiritual looking wind chime things, magic energy crystals, and hippie apparel including the ubiquitous Peruvian knitted poncho necessary for admission at any Grateful Dead performance. I was looking for a unique Christmas gift and I found a hollow leather bound book with a velvet lined compartment. The staff is very friendly and I got a free gingerbread incense stick with my purchase. read more

Back in 2008 they had a nice cafe in front which I miss . They had open mike night, coffee, desserts, teas and gifts. I guess through the economy changing they had closed that part. In the back in the little hippie hut I call it, they have gifts hats dishes incense all those things a reiki practitioner would need, belly dance outfits even! clothes blankets eclectic things. So i love coming to here when I truck on in to middletown. I get the incense oils candles scarves there. They have nice gifts, leather carved books for writing in and every one gets a gift at holiday time from me from there. The owner is nice and tries to get things in upon request. The staff is nice. A nice place to chill out and go to look and buy. Nice lotions as well. In summer they hang out the tapestries on the line out side which is very artistic and this is how i came in. I was curious. They sell clothing and beautiful jewlery. I see kids in there buying things. The owner listens to what a customer might like and orders it. She is very nice and knowledgeable about essential oils. read more

Whenever I come up to visit, I always stop in to check out what's new, and to purchase crystals, candles and incense. the employees are always helpful and knowledgeable and they don't hover---which allows me time to shop without feeling pressured. Thank you for the great service! read more

Amazing place! If i could, i would definitely spend all my money here. The prices are very cheap, even though some people in the reviews did not think so. The crystals/stones there are perfect. I feel very safe there, since it is pretty small and everyone working there has a great attitude and its patient. 10/10 recommended. read more

Literally heaven on earth. You walk into the shop and feel pure happiness. There are so many oils and incense to choose from. She has a huge selection of beautiful crystals- from figurines to bracelets, and single stones. The clothes are so adorable too! She also has a huge variety of decorative stuff! I bought a gorgeous tapestry and a few essential oils. So obsessed with this place!! The staff is so welcoming and down to earth. I could have stayed there for hours! read more
