I told him straight out I wasn't interested in the Rockers they had on the floor and that I could get them cheaper somewhere else but that didn't seem to faze them. They all got their phones out and they were all trying to help me find the rocker I was looking for. Only a company that's been around for 40 plus years can have such a testament to excellent customer service. They're going out of business because the owners trying to sell the building and then the business. I bought my first furniture from them in 1987 when they were called Kanan's. We still have that bedroom set from then and even though it's dated it serves its purpose in the guest bedroom of my best friend's house.

Their sales person Yvonne was very charming at first to ensure she made a commission from my pockets. She said the bed was missing a piece on the headboard from the showroom but that it would be included once delivered. She kept in contact with me shortly after my purchase and told me to contact her to ensure I would have a seamless delivery, but once late April came Yvonne was nowhere to be found. After countless attempts to contact her she completely ghosted me, so customer service had to set up my delivery. This delivery was absolutely horrific. Nobody spoke English and the bed was missing the piece from my headboard and the slats for the mattress. I contacted customer service over and over again and they kept giving me the runaround saying that they could get the slats delivered to me 3 days later. As a person living with a lifelong hip injury, sleeping on the floor was not an option for 3 days after spending over 2k on a bed. So I had to take it upon myself and go to home depot to build the slats myself no thanks to Ashley. The nasty store manager Jessica barely apologized and reluctantly gave me a $400 refund just to call me about a week later, saying that since I actually have this incomplete headboard they are going to charge me back for what they refunded me. Not only this, but Jessica thought it was appropriate to try and talk down to me like I was a child instead of trying to hold onto some semblance of professionalism. I have never had such a nasty lackluster experience from a major store like Ashley. Today I'm left with regret for not staying with Raymour and Flanigan as I have for nearly 2 decades. Ashley's furniture in Middletown is one furniture store I would advise even my worse enemy to stay away from. The team of workers are purely money hungry and have no care about the efficacy of the brand they work for. While the manager is someone who should consider a different profession if she believes talking to people as poorly as she does is representative of Ashley as a corporation. In these attached photos you can see what this bed looks like online, versus what I received, and also the slats that I had to spend $200 in lumbar to build myself due to Ashley's poor service and handling. And no Jessica, my headboard was not built upside down, next time when you are speaking disgustingly to a customer try a different approach at justifying your atrocious attempts to take back your money from me. Don't call me, don't email me, send a corporate manager to try and get that $400 from me as you people have no form of a professional skill set. For any person reading this, just know this is the kind of mess and the kind of back and forth this company/store will put you in if you dare to make a purchase here.
