From the moment you arrive, staff greets you warmly, takes care of valet parking, and helps with your luggage. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. During the day, you can choose from three different restaurants. I didn't get a chance to try them all, but I did have breakfast. The food was okay, but the breakfast area is small with limited capacity. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes in the lobby before being seated. That was the only downside. In the evening, I invited some relatives, and we went to the bar. It's small and intimate, and that night they had a gentleman playing the piano. He even played a few of my favorite Luis Miguel songs, which created such an enjoyable atmosphere. Staff at the bar were attentive and made the experience even better. As for the room, it was spotless and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and anytime I needed something, staff responded right away. I've stayed at several hotels in Mexicali, and this one is by far my favorite when visiting family. I definitely look forward to returning!

They always greet you when you walk by the lobby. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are always so fluffy. We love sleeping on the comfy pillows and beds, we always wake up feeling so refreshed. The breakfast buffet is hot and delicious with a large verity of delicious dishes to choose from. The gym has all the exercise equipment you need for a good workout! I love using their elliptical machine or the bicycle. They have wipes to wipe down the machines and they also have hand towels to wipe your sweat off. They have complimentary water bottles! I really appreciate their hospitality! The pool is beautiful and clean. I like going in the pool during the summer. It's really nice and relaxing. Also the hotel is located inside a shopping plaza. There's several restaurants and shops you can walk to, it's super convenient and very nice.

The hotel is in a decent location with several restaurants in walking distance. However, the front desk personnel can ruin the whole trip. These folks can't execute on the SIMPLEST things. I've stayed here about 5 times for work, and each time it's been a crap-shoot on whether I've actually been booked in a room with a microwave and fridge, as requested in my reservation. Not this time. No fridge, no microwave and no real coffee maker in the room, either. There is a one-cup contraption with coffee in a pouch. I have gone to the lengths of bringing my own coffee, filters and cream. As well as my own breakfast foods. But alas, I will make do with the fridge they brought into the room, but for some reason they can't seem to bring me a microwave as well. Nor an actual coffee maker. Amazing that in the 21st century it's so difficult to get actual customer service. I'd probably recommend you stay anywhere else, but here.

The rooms were nice, well designed space, the best features: Microwave, refrigerator, and the soap and conditioner pumps in the shower(so you don't have to ask for five bottles every time you shower), lastly, the availability of baby cribs. The BEST service and what really made this Hotel stay the best was the breakfast. The availability of American foods like, French toast, pancakes, waffles, cereals, pastries, breads, etc was nice but having the Mexican breakfast buffet as well was amazing, chilaquiles, menudo, beans, eggs, etc. this was by far the best breakfast we've had at a hotel. The other half of the star, was the staff, constantly cleaning and taking away dirty plates. My family enjoyed the pool, but noticed there was other services also available, like a gym, laundry room, print center, They also have a 24/7 little store with snacks for purchase. The reception desk was also helpful. (This is where you get your towels for the pool). Next, the location of this hotel, was perfect. It's in a very nice Plaza, with high end restaurants and shops, and for some last night snacks (a 7/11 store). There is parking right in front of the hotel or underground. Lastly, to my embarrassment, about 30 mins after checking out, I realized I had forgotten an item in the room, I called the hotel to explain, and by the time I returned to the hotel, they had nicely packaged up the item and it was waiting for me at the front desk. The staff, the amenities, the food, and the rooms, were perfect. If all hotels are alike Fairfield Mexicali, Marriott has gained a loyal customer.

    Overall, if i wouldn't of had any paypal payment issues when i tried to extend, my stay would have…read morebeen fine.  The continental breakfast served was actually pretty descent, the rooms are a bit small, the lighting didn't seem to be evenly distributed throughout the room and seemed kind of awkward, i had no complaints on the wifi, there is wallpaper that seemed to be retro-modern from the 60s that i thought was ugly at first but then grew on me. there's adequate amount of parking, and not far from a shopping center and movies. None of these were real big issues, however the only issue was dealing with the clerks in the front desk lobby who seemed really inexperienced to deal with customers having issues. they pretty much blow you off when you have issues, they only know how to do the job they were taught and don't really know how to treat customers. they make you feel as if the issue was your fault, and even though they do their job on their side, it was simply the communication aspect. Im not sure if their management puts them under a lot of stress, but it kind of seemed that way, as they are always trying to place blame on a third party instead of seeming to genuinely trying to help their customers. In the Lobby, when trying to see what was going on with my new booking, there was a lady having the exact same issue as i was.  The lady was frustrated, and it became awkward since the raising of voices ensued. the young clerk would only say something in the lines of "the issue is not on our side, im sorry i cant help you." while there is no doubt  that this is correct, you have a frustrated client who is pretty much feeling ripped-off, so a better response on his (the young clerk) side would have been something in the lines of "this issue is common when booking through third party agencies, heres is what we can do..." (and he can go on to list viable options that the customer can try)  and bam, you help out the customer and you avoid him/her feeling and looking as a complete loser of life. In any of my future stays in Mexicali, i might not stay in this hotel again.  Its one of the cheaper hotels in Mexicali, and the facilities are not bad at all, they are actually pretty good.  However, bad personal treatment is a NO-GO on my side, i would rather cough up something extra for for the assuredness of top notch staff that could take care of their customer in any situation.    i believe the treatment of its clients is as importance as what it offers to clients.

It was easy and the girl at the check in desk was great. Breakfast and the staff member who worked there were also great. And I will say the room was clean so cleaning crew was doing a good job because the issue was more maintenance than anything. The issue was that the room was so old and outdated and the non bed furniture in the room was pretty gross which is why the low score. As I said, all customer service was nice, the only exception was when we asked for 3 extra pillows but were told no, we had enough and only given 1. That did irritate me but I brushed it off (this was a few hours after check In, after we got back to our room after a funeral). We got the suite which is not in the hotel and is actually in a building near the hotel. It is a spacious room but it is sooo worn out. Pillars were rotting and peeling, the rug was dirty and the couch and chair with an ottoman were so disgusting, I was genuinely grossed out and didn't touch them. Additionally, the toilet had a hard time flushing and after leaving some water running in the sink while brushing my teeth, it clogged up a little. Overall, I will not stay here again.
