Cambria hotel only been open for 4 months. Upon arrival, I see a lot of construction going on around the hotel. You can see from the distance that it's fairly brand new. Check in was easy. The security deposit is only $100 per stay. I booked this hotel stay via booking.com. I booked the two queens kitchenette room. Once I got my room key, I went to my room and it wasn't a kitchenette. False picture advertisement on booking.com of the kitchenette room. I went downstairs to let them know and they moved me to the kitchenette room. Which was awesome. They were swift to take care of my needs and reported to booking.com of the false picture of the room. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and everything was new! From the flooring to the ceiling, comfortable beds, great staff, everything was squeaky clean. The hotel helpers were so helpful and exceeded our expectations. Kitchenette had almost everything you need for cooking. They don't have microwaves in the kitchenette rooms, only in the standard rooms. The fridge works really well. They have a bar and grill on the premises, patio outside, plenty of parking, indoor pool and gym! I will definitely stay here again on my trip out to El Centro. read more

False Advertising. Terrible Management. Zero Accountability. We stayed at Cambria Hotel El Centro-Imperial from July 10-13, 2026 with more than 10 Little League families. It was, without question, one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we've had. We reserved a "Suite, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchen (Studio)" through Expedia before another family on our team. They booked the exact same room description through Expedia after we did and were assigned Room 201 a spacious "Suite, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchen (Studio)". Yet we were given Room 220--a standard-sized room with only a kitchenette. No one at check-in mentioned we were being placed in a different room than the one we reserved. The next day my friend stopped by our room and was shocked at the size difference. She said, "I thought we booked the same room. Come look at ours." And that's when we realized we had not received what we paid for. I requested to speak with someone in management and got the unfortunate experience of speaking with Sales Assistant Clarissa instead. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue, she ended the conversation by telling me to "have the day you deserve." I then requested to speak with the General Manager Todd who was no better. He insisted that "suite," "studio," and "kitchenette" all mean the same thing, while also admitting he charges more for the Suite, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchen (Studio) "because he can." If they're all the same, why would the hotel charge different prices? When Clarissa claimed the hotel doesn't even have suites, I showed Todd a video of one inside his own hotel. He admitted he has been trying to get third-party booking sites to change the room descriptions because they are misleading. The more he contradicted himself, the more visibly nervous he became and he began sweating profusely. When I asked why the descriptions needed to be changed if they all meant the same thing, he then said he wasn't going to argue semantics. The primary issue was Todd's admission of being fully aware of the discrepancy yet refusing to make it right and still continuing to book rooms with the same misleading description. And the problems didn't stop there: * Multiple families had leaking air conditioners. * The indoor pool area's A/C wasn't working. While the temp in Imperial ranged from 105-113 during our entire stay. * The hotel sold breakfast vouchers advertising an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, yet they were out of pancake mix for our entire three-day stay. After getting nowhere with management, I disputed the charges with my credit card company because I do not believe we received the accommodation that was advertised and reserved. Cambria didn't just lose one customer--they lost the trust of an entire Little League community. If you're considering staying here, screenshot your reservation, verify your room before unpacking, and don't assume the room you booked is the room you'll receive. I was very disappointed with our stay at the Cambria Hotel in Imperial, CA. Although the hotel appears to be brand new and advertises great amenities, our experience was far from what was promised. One of the biggest issues was the indoor pool area. Our family along with multiple families stayed in this hotel for a Little League Tournament. This hotel was chosen due to the distance between the two fields. (5 minutes from one and 23 minutes to the other one) In addition, there were many areas to eat outside nearby. Given Imperials high heat, one of the factors that played into booking with this hotel was the indoor pool and we were ecstatic for our kids. During our three-night stay, the air conditioning was not working, making it unbearably hot inside. I am talking HUMID, like a SAUNA inside the indoor pool area! It was disgusting and extremely uncomfortable for parents to try to watch their children swim. I reported this issue to hotel management multiple times throughout our stay, but no action was taken. The breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was already limited, and several of the advertised items were unavailable each morning. If you're counting on breakfast at the hotel, don't expect everything to be stocked. Cleanliness and maintenance were also major concerns. There were bugs throughout the pool area and in our hotel rooms. Our first room was a full suite with kitchen and immediately I noticed black bugs in the shower all over the ceiling. Our second room was a standard two queen bed with a kitchenette, and I found bugs in our shower and on the floors, and when I reported it to the supervisor, I was told that it was "normal." That response was unacceptable. To make matters worse, there were rat traps placed openly in the hallways, and some of them were filled with bugs, which was unpleasant to see. Our room's air conditioning unit was also leaking water across the floor, creating a safety hazard. We learned that several other families were experiencing the same issue with their AC units. I looked under the unit and saw old toothpick flosses from what I'm assuming previous guest under the AC unit and there was water leaking everywhere! Overall, this hotel is not what it is advertised to be. For newer property in Imperial, where reliable air conditioning is essential, the maintenance and upkeep were disappointing. Between the excessive heat in the pool area, the leaking AC, the bugs, the lack of breakfast availability, and management's failure to address our concerns, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others. I would have to say not all management was dismissive, there was a night attendant that was very sweet and tried her best to accommodate several people at once who came to complain and her name was Amy. Other than that; and based on several parents' experiences trying to get assistance and the responses they received, I didn't even bother to speak to upper management. read more

Room was not cold. 76 degrees at night while maintenance cleaned out ac filters. After waiting a couple of hours nothing changed and I was given a loud fan to sleep. Desk associate was rude and unapologetic. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my stay at the Cambria Hotel in Imperial. What they advertise and what you actually get are two very different things. * The 1905 Restaurant closes way earlier than posted. I showed up at 8:30 pm more than an hour before "closing" and the kitchen was already dark. Apparently "closing time" here is whenever the chef feels sleepy. * They don't provide toothpaste. Not even a sample size. What kind of hotel doesn't have toothpaste? Even budget motels and, yes, many so-called "third world" hotels hand out toothpaste and razors. Cambria, take notes. * My room had a tiny aluminum bucket under the AC to catch the drips. Nothing says luxury like sleeping next to a leaky air conditioner with a bucket soundtrack. For a new hotel, this is comedy. If you're into early-bird dinners, brushing your teeth with tap water, and white-noise buckets at night, this place is perfect. The hotel was still new. Property was nice and well taken care of. The inside entry was welcoming and clean. Upon my check in, my room wasn't ready yet so I was told that once it was ready they would let me know. I waited 4.5hrs when finally at 3:30pm i decided to check if it was ready and to my surprise it had been ready for awhile. I informed them I was told I would be notified when it was ready and I hadn't been. I also informed them I had been waiting 4.5hrs. I was quickly checked in but had to give a deposit of $100 which I wasn't aware of be did so as needed. The room was spacious and clean. The fridge wasnt cold nor did it get cold, so I had to turn the temperature down. It got warm at night and the air took some time to cool it down but once it did, ir was nice. I was accomodated 2 free dinners because the breakfast was closed on thw first 2 nights but nothing for having to wait 4.5hrs for my room that was ready and Wasn't notified as I was told. That was quite disappointing. I had tried to use the pool and spa. The spa was closed and the pool was freezing. For an indoor pool I was assuming it would have been heated....it was not!! Really cold! The gym was very small but nice and clean with working equipment. I neglected to check out and utilize the laundry facilities so I am unsure if that was in working order. The 1905 restaurant was kind of like a diner style setting crossed with a upscale style. The prices were EXTREMELY expensive with little portion size. Aside from the portion size the food was excellent. I had an chance to try the burger and fries, the broccolini, the potatoes, the chips and turkey club, and the rustic poblano pasta and the Calabrian pasta, the garlic bread and marinated olives. The favor of everything was wonderful. The rustic poblano pasta needed a little more salt and pepper and definitely more parmesan cheese. I only got to try one spirits drink which was a type of breeze, was a little more ice then drink. I did try the chavela with Pacifico, those were very delicious! Oh, and I did try the. Tapatio honey sauce wings which were quite tasty. The first 2 nights I stayed the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast or lunch which was disappointing since I specifically chose that hotel for the convenience of a restaurant in it. The staff was friendly and inviting. I do recommend this hotel if your in the area. Just beware of the deposits, the pricey menu options, freezing pool and non-working spa. Also, if they say they will let you know when your room is ready - DO NOT rely on that, keep checking! Don't wait 4.5hrs like I did! Good luck and happy travels! read more

They started off great, with accommodating staff and clean rooms. I have probably stayed over 20 days in this hotel in the last few months (business travel). My last stay, while gathering up my things, the phone in my room rings. It is 11:03. Miguel at the front desk rudely asked "Are you on your way?" Confused - because I've never heard the question phrased that way - I asked "On my way?" He says "checkout was 11:00." I was downstairs by 11:05. But this will be my last time at the Cambria. I had always overlooked the loud slamming doors and fact that you can hear people walking above and below you all the time. But this three minutes of grace period before calling with all kinds of attitude is WILD. read more

Well first off, it's absolutely beautiful! I don't feel like I'm in Imperial Valley, I recommend a staycation lol. I'm a bed girl & the beds are amazing, no extra blanket necessary. The staff is so friendly & funny. They go above & beyond. Denise is my go to at the front desk, Justin makes a mean pumpkin espresso martini, & Michelle is loads of fun with her music trivia. Microwave, mini frig & coffee in your room. No free breakfast but the 1905 has great craft cocktails & food. The espresso machine in the tiny store is a dream! I told my hubby I wanted one for Xmas. Anywho I highly recommend. Oh & bring your swimsuit.... They have a heated pool and spa. read more

This is a nice hotel. It's new inside I think they opened 2 months ago. We went to their bar/restaurant and it was nice also. The drink I ordered was not very strong but it was ok. I ordered the pork chop and it lacked seasoning and was not very tender. I tasted their cheeseburger and fries and it was very good. Better price too. They have a 40 oz steak for $120 that's made for 2. My friend said it was a good steak. Nice place to gather with friends. Service was ok. Kinda pricey. Very nice inside. The pork chop was average at best and the sides that come with it are small so if you are a big eater you will still be hungry. That burger was good tho. read more

Brand New Hotel! Very nice accommodation. Bring your own water as it is not provided complementary in your room. There is a coffee maker and pods however. Maybe is will be offered at a later time. Very nice staff was exceptionally helpful. The beds are so comfortable. The shower water pressure could be a lot stronger pressure. Nice soaps shampoos and conditioners are provided. There is a indoor pool which I didn't use. The location is at least 3 to 6 miles from everything. Had a hard time booking uber and lyft as the hotel was not in their system yet. The address of the hotel online was not compatible with the Lyft and Uber system as the off ramp from Imperial is still under construction. We had to use the Neckel address. The restaurant/bar is lively and was busy every night. I didn't try the food but the drinks were good. The lobby has interesting artifacts from the Farming History of the Imperial Valley read more

Hidden little gem. Amazingly, clean. Staff is awesome. Food and Beverage Manager, Bartender and Todays (1.31.2025) Server in Restaurant were all magnificent! Our room is beautiful and I don't believe anyone has ever used the shower!. There's a full bar, a beautiful lounge area with modern fireplace. Food and drinks all on point! read more

The hotel is terrible. It's brand new and clean as far as the room goes, hence 2 stars. But the acoustics here are horrible. The room echos when you talk. If you ever get stuck on the first floor don't stay here as this review is more for staying on the first floor. They wouldn't move me because they said they were sold out. It's near the restaurant and it echoes. It's about 10:20pm and you can still hear kids running amok from the restaurant and it's been going on for hours. You can literally hear everything as if they're right outside your door. Awful stay. I will say the restaurant is actually pretty good so this review does not apply to that. read more
