Great room and a pool ? NICE !
Jim E.

Typically I like to stay at Best Western hotels. Better than most, not over the top, yet always affordable. For me it's about location, cleanliness and able to sleep comfortably without issues. Best Western fits that bill typically. Last minute (due to storm in the desert) we looked locally and spotted this place. "Best Western Plus" didn't disappoint. We asked for 3rd floor and got that too. Centrally located to all of the nicer restaurants and amenities in El Centro we were very happy with our stay. Quite, clean, accommodating & affordable. Eazy 5 stars.

We stayed here during our motorcycle trip. We were tired after 6 hours traveling in the saddle…read more The staff were wonderful and we were amazed at what their full responsibilities were. Judith was there working the desk when we arrived. She was friendly, helpful and accommodating. She got us squared away quickly so we could relax. That evening, Celeste Fuentes came on. She is the bomb! She provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Or bathroom sink was running very slow, so we called the desk. She was came up to check out the issue, left and came back with a drain tool. That didn't work and she came back again with a drain cleaning liquid. Apparently the maintenance people were gone for the day, so she was doing everything she could as well as being responsible for the desk. She was answering her portable hotel desk phone while helping us out. Talk about multi-tasking! We were amazed that she had to apparently perform so many jobs, cover main desk duties, maintenance, clean up, security etc. I am not so sure that is a particularly safe practice for a young woman by herself at night. But she managed it like a champ without complaint and all kudos to her. Marriott is lucky to have such dedicated employees.

They need to find out what happened. Go back to the cameras. If not, the DOJ already knows the cops already knows so whoever stolen my clothes needs to give me back my clothes cause they already got you on the books stealing my clothes from my hotel room while I wasn't staying there. I would never recommend this hotel never stay here. Stay at home to home Two is way better and nicer.

In El Centro / Calexico there are a variety of cookie cutter hotels with rapidly changing names…read more One year a hotel is under a certain chain name a few years later under another but for the most part there are two tiers of lodging in the area : 1 - A little higher end, like this Holiday Inn. Tier 1. 2 - Lower end, more of the motel variety. Tier 2. What is unfortunate is that lately the Holiday Inn / Hampton Inn hotels are pushing $200. a night (Best Western / Comfort Inn pushing $150.) when hotels like these, in not so touristy locations, one would expect to be more around $120. a night. At the Holiday Inn stayed in what is called a balcony suite, which was actually over $200. a night after taxes and fees. (This "suite" is over $300.! a night some nights.) Not really a suite just a slightly larger room with a sitting area and a balcony that is shared without a barrier duty the adjoining room. Not a bad facility, clean and comfortable with the usual amenities including free wifi. Coffee maker microwave AC flat screen television. Didn't notice any noise while here but the hotel was pretty empty. Pool and jacuzzi. Small very basic fitness facility. Full hot buffet style free breakfast in morning (until 10am weekends, 9:30am weekdays) with egg dishes, sausages, pancakes from a machine, cereals, instant oatmeal, pastries, bagels, toast, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea. The front desk doesn't always have someone visible so just announce yourself as the clerk sometimes sits in the back. Service is good and accommodates special requests. Three stars due to being overpriced for the location but probably over all four stars compared to what else is available in town.

I told the lady that the baking was bad and she just looked at me and walked the other way. Hahaha This place is OK. It looks like they're re-doing some stuff. They got a bunch of stuff caution off. Their gym is tiny. Looks like they just pushed everything into a room. It is what it is. The staff is friendly I guess. But management is nowhere to be seen. I had an incident of a missing item and I didn't get one call from the manager and I had to keep calling in to check on the item that was missing. Some poor service but like I said it is what it is. lol.

The staff throughout my stay was friendly, professional, and courteous. My concerns are with the condition and maintenance of the property. Our room (428) had a significant carpet beetle infestation. There were so many throughout the room that my family and I felt we needed to keep our shoes on at all times. The pool was also one of the dirtiest hotel pools I have encountered. When I asked if there was a pool net available, I was told the hotel did not have one on site. The front desk associate was kind enough to borrow a net from another Marriott, and I ended up cleaning the pool myself because she was the only employee working the front desk. Additionally, the elevator shook noticeably each time it reached a floor before the doors opened, which raised concerns about its condition. I understand the challenges that come with being understaffed, but after spending nearly $1,000 on my stay, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. I chose not to complain during my visit because the staff was doing their best, but I felt it was important to share this feedback so these issues can be addressed. I travel to El Centro regularly, but unfortunately this experience has led me to choose a different hotel for future visits, and I will be directing my team to do the same. Small investments in property upkeep and maintenance go a long way toward earning long-term customer loyalty.

It's bright, colorful, and has a lot of comfortable seating if you want to work, relax, or just hang out. The small market area is convenient too, especially if you need snacks or drinks late at night. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed. I appreciated having a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, and dishes. It makes longer stays much more comfortable. The room layout also includes a desk, couch, and a nice open feel which is great if you're working remotely. The bathroom was clean and modern, and everything felt well kept. Overall, this is a great option if you're staying in El Centro for work or travel. Comfortable rooms, a nice lobby, and practical amenities that make the stay easy and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
