Most furniture was in the warehouse, so we had to coordinate and pay for shipping. We also had an option to pick up the smaller pieces if we wanted, which was nice. A down payment was required on ordered pieces, which is typical. The pieces arrived within the cited time frame. I'm taking a star away for a delivery issue: NOT the greatest delivery coordination between the Outlet and the Retail store. Consistency, in this case, is not the hobgoblin of little minds. As with past experiences, you usually get what you pay for here. Not everything will burn a hole in your pocket and not everything will seem well-made once you get it home.

Before the delivery men put it together, I called the Johnny Janosik delivery number and was told that since customer service isn't open on the weekends (it was Saturday), they couldn't help me. My mother needed the bed within the week so I had the bed put together with the damaged headboard. It has been a nightmare ever since. Repairs/replacements are outsourced to a third party (ServeCo) who never picks up their phone. I called three times on a Friday and, each time, got a message saying "we can't take your call. Try calling back at another time." I will never shop there again.

This is the only place I know about in the southern Delmarva area that has quality furniture. The staff is helpful without being pushy - nice balance. To save yourself some time, go to Mitchell's first. By the way, the Stickley couch is incredibly comfortable.

Build/Delivery time was reasonable and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. The delivery was included with the price and the friendly delivery person even assembled everything for free after carrying the heavy pieces up steps to our second story deck. He even moved some of my old furniture down the steps for me since I had injured my back. He offered advice on how/when to stain the pieces which saved us a ton of money. I stained the furniture myself according to his advice and it looks great- just as good as their stained furniture. We left our furniture out all winter and it's been in constant use this year and it's still as good as new. From now on, this is the only outdoor furniture I want. It's built to last. We now use our deck as much as any other room inside our house during the warmer 3 seasons. Our experience with sales people on site at Billy's exceeded my expectations. I was honestly overwhelmed and didn't buy anything on my first two trips because their inventory was so awesome. How can you even decide? Their smiling laid-back sales reps never ran out of patience. We love supporting local businesses and Backyard Billy's is the best!
