Review from Fall 2022 --long overdue. When our washer died at our condo we asked around and Palmer's came highly recommended. We also checked the big box stores. Palmers was no more expensive than the big box stores so we gladly gave this " mom and pop" our business. Why? It's good to support local businesses and the local economy. We were rewarded with a great price, prompt delivery and the most excellent installation !!! The owner has had this business long enough that he knows how all the condos in Ocean City are set up and this is why the installation was quick and flawless. He knew how many turns and steps to take to get into our condo before we had a chance to tell him. He explained it all to us while we were signing the papers at the store !!!! His team is well trained and professional. BONUS: The warranty comes from them. At the store The Owner is on premises. He has great sales people who don't try to pressure you. Stay as far away as you can get. A bunch of hucksters that seem to thrive on nickel and diming people to death. It must be their business model. Called for assistance with a E3 code on my washer and dryer. They came out to fix. Allegedly. They had no problem billing for the service call and repair. 10 days later the machine throws the same code. Nothing new - the exact same code that was said to have been fixed. We call back and they immediately start backtracking. They then mention that "it is an older unit". Keep in mind it is the exact same unit that has aged just two weeks since they were there to fix again. The unit is not old at all, just an excuse by these hucksters. This started in the end of June. It reoccurred in early July. Place was not used for next two weeks and the same code is thrown again in September. They say they will send their "Good Guy" out to check it out on Monday. We never heard from them. Have no idea if repaired or not. They did not follow up as promised. We enter the unit Friday and turn on washer. It begins to flood. If dude did enter then unit and screw it up maybe that is why he did not report anything at all back. But the rude lady on the phone assures me that all is fine. But of course, they would send someone out to take a look at the unit for ANOTHER SERVICE CALL. When I state that I do not want to pay another service call when nothing has been serviced and I objected to paying $250 more to them she said "YOU HAVE NOT PAID $200". I tell her I have and she puts me on hold. Comes back rudely and says, well you did pay $256 but you will need to pay more to have us come out. Yes, there is bad service in Ocean City but these guys really are bad. All I had asked was to make it right and tell me what was wrong (if anything) with the unit. Sadly, they were only interested in making fees on service calls. I could have just as well purchased a new unit of that is what I needed to do. But Palmer assured me that all would be fine and they broke every promise they made. These guys are REALLY BAD. And when you talk to the lady on the phone she is just worried about trying to win an argument instead of listening to the customer. I will do my best community service event and spread the word to say to all - SAVE YORU MONEY AND DO NOT USE PALMER as they are downright bad! read more

Outstanding service from a local company. I admit I was a challenging customer. Our washer/dryer stack went up on us in the middle of the summer. To make matters worse, in our tiny bathroom (where the w/d is located), the toilet blocks access to the w/d. So, we had to coordinate having a plumber move the toilet with the new w/d installation. And, our 50 year old condo building has no elevator, only very narrow, steep stairs. Palmer's handled everything, including multiple reschedules due to challenges with the plumber's schedule. I ordered 3 appliances from this company and was sold a faulty dryer (this can happen sometimes). we bought it in March 2022 used it 5 times and after that it was completely unable to turn on and function. After hours of phone calls and calling the manufacturer FOR THEM because they refused we finally got granted a replacement dryer... it was supposed to be delivered today with no call, no show and no return call from Palmers. i have lost not only the money from purchasing the dryer but 7 months of revenue because I have been unable to rent out the property. I would highly recommend going with another company that takes pride in their products they sell as well as provides customer service. read more

We can't say enough good things about Palmer's Appliances and Leanne. It's rare to get the trifecta of service, price, and quality, but we get it with Palmers. We already used them for service - after Chuck's service visit, my husband said he would never use anyone else (we had another company recommend we replace the appliance, Chuck saved the day and hardly charged us). We recently ordered 4 new appliances. I wanted to order from Palmers to support local and because we already use them for service but I needed to make sure they were priced competitively. I did my research and was surprised to see they didn't just match what I was finding, they beat the prices. When there was a problem with one of the appliances at installation, I give huge kudos to Leanne and the professional way she handled it. It was taken care of immediately and fairly, there was no blame or finger-pointing. Feels rare these days to get this kind of service. I justs got my dishwasher from and installed by Palmer's Appliances in Berlin, Maryland. They advised me to wait for what they thought was the best product on the market and we're glad we did. It washes great and is super quiet. We love it. And the people there are wonderful being both friendly and efficient. And along with a competent installation, we received detailed instructions on getting the most out of it. In all, a wonderful experience. I bought 3 appliances from them and 2 of those three were defective. They don't stand behind their products. One appliance I exchanged the next day because it posed a fire hazard and they charged me to install the replacement one and gave no break or credit for the installation of the defective one. The replacement one worked about a month before breaking down. I had to call the company that made it to get it fixed. For a local seller, you'd expect them to treat their local customers better. read more

Does not stand behind there products. Bought several appliances, Refrigerator doors were not aligned, when fridge was level. They were late for appointment and never called as we asked so we could put dogs away. When they arrived finally , the person was rude, said he did call but there was no call or message on my phone and he didn't know how to fix the problem. All he did was unlevel the fridge and tell us it was the way the fridge was made. When we called LG another nightmare, We were told there should be special tools that come with the fridge for door adjustment, which Palmer's never gave us when they delivered the Fridge or when they came to not do anything to fix the problem. When I called the office to complain they were just as rude and made it sound like it was all my fault. I would suggest that look elsewhere to purchase an appliance in the Ocean City, MD area. Palmer Appliance does not stand behind the products that they sell. We purchased a new washer from them on May 23, 2015 and it stopped working on September 2, 2015. We called Palmer Appliance for service and they would not even come out to look at the machine.
