I've never in my life seen a moore incapable CustomerService department. It's almost unbelievable how discombobulated and sad unorganized and just virtually impossible to use that they are.. the installers broke my brand new Appliance then tried to hide it fixing the wires with electrical tape, which was a fire hazard. Now it has taken me eight days to get a delivery of a new one and for them to get the old one out. I probably have 20 to 25 hours in Phone time, technicians, electricians, managers, customer service, etc. it is disgusting. I will never buy anything from them again. read more

Terrible service & pathetic cannot get simple questions answered. Spent hours on phone for nothing zero response & service

I ordered a chair height toilet to be delivered on 9/16 Received confirmation it was out for delivery so I arranged for the plumber to come and install. Toilet did not arrive. Tracking then indicated it was out for delivery on the 17th. I made arrangements with plumber again. No toilet again. At this point, after several unsuccessful conversations with Home Depot I was finally told it had been lost by the carrier. They couldn't give me a refund until the carrier declared the toilet lost. Now the toilet is out of stock. Home Depot's answer is for me the buy a different toilet pay for the Second toilet and they would refund the first once the shipper said it was OK. I seem to be the only one inconvenienced here. read more

I remodeled my kitchen with Home Depot. Stacey was my designer. New cabinets and counters installed. The design was beautiful and the process was seamless and in a timely manner. Even though it is a "big box" company I felt like I was a priority and had that one on one service you would expect to pay a lot more for at a boutique kitchen design center. It's almost impossible to contact an employee at this store in 21842. The phone system does not work and you may wait a very long time for someone to answer. There are never any follow up calls from them and no one there is capable of problem solving. Waited over a month for an appliance delivery and the delivery was cancelled the day before the scheduled date and after I hired a pro for the installation. Delivery attempted the following week and as I sat next to my phone, I received a text stating that delivery was attempted, but I didn't answer the phone. No call in the phone log but was told they left a message. Took half the day to reach a person but they couldn't help. Delivery people are hired contractors and do what they want. They don't work for Home Depot. Home Depot works for them. Had to cancel the order because I couldn't get any service from HD and I had no more time off from work to wait for them. Throughout all of this, I received numerous texts from HD, but not one phone call until the delivery people drove away and left a garbled message. Now I can't get any info about my refund that I should have received by now. This store is full of useless employees and I will never shop there again. Beware!! read more

Nice Home Depot, we always find it to be well stocked and the employees pretty nice. The store itself is always clean and we keep coming back to this location. Their garden center is really great here. We've been able to find everything that we need. The parking lot does get busy here as it's right next to a Walmart so we like trying to go at off times. read more

The Home Depot out here near Ocean City is pretty good. The staff are helpful and Home Depot usually has what you are looking for. They advertise tool rental everywhere, but the don't rent tools. I find that the majority of all Home Depots, no matter the location, seem to not have everything I need. The aisles are always cluttered with stands and displays that clog up the traffic. Generally, the staff treats me very well, and is helpful. The other blue home store is like 20 miles away, so I shop here for the few items, and go North when my list is bigger. read more

This has to be one of the worst Home Depots i have EVER been in. Shelves are not marked correctly or just empty. Seems as though I would save time by driving to the store in Salisbury to get what I need. Most of the time I have to drive there anyway because they always have what I need in stock. BEWARE of ordering appliances and custom countertops from this Home Depot location. My husband and I embarked upon a renovation of our beach condo and entrusted this Home Depot with custom ordered countertops and kitchen appliances of a range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. When we ordered the appliances, Brenda P, our appliance specialist was cordial and helpful with ordering BUT never explained the installation policies of the dishwasher that should have been explained. She failed to inform us that the installation was a return installation whereas a plumber would contact us at a later date to install. Meanwhile, they won't haul away your old dishwasher on the same day your new one is delivered. Had she explained it to us, we would have been better informed and planned out the install in a more sequential manner. She never returned our calls regarding any of the problems. When the appliances were delivered, the delivery guys were rude, told us our refrigerator was missing, and refused to haul away our appliances even though we paid for the haul away service!! A call to management resulted in some of the issues being resolved, but you could tell management was bewildered with all of our problems surrounding this order! The countertops were worse. We ordered the countertops with Roxanne who was cordial and respectful. This Home Depot location works with a local fabricator - Colonial Marble and Granite. When Colonial came out to measure and make a template, they came up with 5.5 sq feet too short, and waited 27 hours before our promised install date to tell us. They wanted more money for the deficiency or else my countertops would not be installed - essentially keeping the countertops hostage. When I addressed this with Home Depot management, they resolved the issue and covered the difference. Then when the countertops arrived, we discovered that Colonial measured the countertops 1/2 inch too short! They were cut too short and we are now forced to put up a backsplash which was never our intention. One problem after another!! Again, no calls to Roxanne were returned. It seems once it's a problem, the Home Depot Associate wants nothing to do with the customer. Horrible customer service in these departments!!! The Management Team of Scott, Mike and Jerry were the only reasons why we didn't cancel the whole project. Once they knew how frustrated and unhappy we were, they reacted with resolution and thought. The other folks could have cared less. Except for an associate named Liz who always seemed to be helpful! Please think twice before entrusting this Home Depot with your home projects. It's better to go to Lowe's or use private vendors. I'm so disappointed in Home Depot. I'll never recommend them again. read more

If I could give this Home Depot less than one star I WOULD. I have used this home depot to remodel and replace appliances in my Harbor Island OC home , But I have used them for the last time ! Between their so called managers that never call you back, their delivery service that show up two Hours later than the 4 "hour window" , then don't deliver because a piece missing, then 5 days later I have to call Home depot , the delivering company, to be told I have to Call LG to find out where my Washer and dryer are !!!!!! And still nothing resolved !!!! They are ALL terrible. Go to Lowes a 1/2 hour away, in Delaware. I wish my wife had read the reviews before order from them, and I hope everyone will BEWARE !!! read more

From William the "manager" and Ed in "flooring" to the rest of the nameless individuals who work at the Berlin store, I say - you need some serious and continual customer service training. After ordering my carpet on June 21, 2014, everything - and I do mean EVERYTHING - went down hill. Measure date was 6/24/14 and the horrible Premier Flooring (avoid at all cost, which means never get carpet from Home Depot, because they are the exclusive installer for Home Depot) never called to say the carpet arrived in their warehouse. Once I finally got through to them, they couldn't find the order. Called Home Depot, and the woman who answered the phone didn't seem to know how to simply look up the order, call the installer, and then get back to me. Once I called William the manager, who seemed to be in a haze for some reason, I got passed off to Ed in flooring, who spent more time talking over me and telling me how Home Depot isn't responsible for anything once you pay them. Even though you pay Home Depot, and Home Depot pays Premier Flooring, you as the consumer have no leverage to get through to the installer or get things moving. Ed also couldn't seem to grasp the simple solution of having Home Depot, who pays the installer, and making them schedule a date and get back with me. William the manager finally said he would call them, but then it would all be up to me. So, my question is: why do I pay Home Depot if I'm going to have to do all the work anyway and advocate for the installer, who Home Depot pays, to get the work done. So now it is July 10 and the installer, who couldn't care less who I am or how long its been since I ordered the carpet, is saying it will be another two weeks before they can install - a full MONTH after I ordered the carpet, which was in their warehouse on July 2nd! William needs a new job, Ed should retire, and the entire staff should be retrained in customer service. But most of all, Home Depot should select a new vendor. So many companies do quality work with the customer in mind. But Premier Flooring isn't one of them. read more

Literally the worst customer service I have had at a Home Depot in all my life. I was trying to get blinds cut, and I waited in the blind section while a man was helping a couple cutting their blinds. After 15 minutes when he started to walk away I asked him is there anybody else who can help me get some blinds cut. He said I don't know. Now he just cut two sets of blinds for the people who were there with him. So I went to the front desk and asked is there anybody else who can cut blinds. Apparently there's nobody else in the store that can cut blinds. Now the guy who is cutting blinds whose name was Paul,Could've simply said I'll be back and help you I have to finish with these people but no he just simply said I don't know who can cut blinds. This is worse customer service from Home Depot Door dept. Contractor called me about 10 times a day while I was at work and meeting all day. What an harassing contractor. I called back to schedule with contractor, then he goes oh I am on the way over there now without scheduling with me. So Finally got the door measurement, and told me that home depot have it in the system now. I decided to call Home Depot Door dept to follow up because they never called me. It turned out that Home Depot Door Dept does not have the door measurement in the system. What a mess?! I requested this Since August 12th and problem was solved today. Spoke with Home Depot Door dept, they said labor is 149 dollars, door is 106, and other things to charge. I was like huh they are charging me 30 dollars for 9 screws for the door?! 30 dollars for screws??? what a ripoff?! Also charged me for 15 dollars to make an hole for the door knob??? bizarre pricing, customer service and contractor. Better off finding independent contractor read more

I have been very disappointed in this store (Ocean Gateway Berlin MD). I deal with the Home Depot in my own home town and they have been very accommodating so this review does not reflect on the company itself only on this particular store. I own a residence nearby and arranged an installation of a patio door with the understanding that I had a time restriction for its installation. I assumed that a company so close to a resort area would understand the need for prompt completion and if they could not handle the job within the two month period they would tell me they could not do it. They assured me it could be done so I made myself available for the measurements and all the preparation necessary for the completion of the job. Yet on the day arranged for installation they stood me up and after arranging a second date they did not even respond or attempt to accommodate me. Meanwhile they billed me for the merchandise and installation and the work has never been done and now it cannot be completed until the fall because the house is occupied by visitors. So I agreed to purchase the door on a separate credit card because the current arrangement for payment is so messed up that only satisfaction of the balance will fix the credit problem caused by this fiasco. I will then have it stored on the premises until the fall when the property would be available for them to take down the drapes and tear out an old door in the master bedroom. I have been dunned and harassed by the charge company for payment and have not received any response from the store other than the installer calling me to tell me they would cancel the order but I had to pay a 25 percent restocking fee. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS.... I have heard nothing from then...the credit card company said some credit has been issued but not the full amount. I started this project in March and it is now July. No one has called me to arrange the payment or the delivery of the door. I am very disappointed for Home Depot and Anderson(the manufacturer of the door) are well known and respected brands but they sure have not proven so in this case. read more

Purchased a new General Electric washing machine, first time I used it, it leaked water out of the bottom, called GE for service, they could not send anyone out for 8 days. That is just not acceptable for a brand new product. The GE service person told me to take it back to Home Depot, Home Depot refused to take it back, but told me I had to work with GE service, which could not come out for over a week. Very disappointing quality control at GE and Home Depot's lack of customer service on a new defective product that they sold. After speaking with 4 people the manager said he would pay the repair bill of an reputable appliance repair company to fix the unit sooner. Will see how that works out. read more

I've been a customer of this location for about 10 yrs. Staff always very helpful. Went there on Tues Oct 15 to purchase some carpet. (Had picked the carpet out at Home Deport were I live). Had the misfortune to run into the rudest salesperson I've ever met. When I looked at the samples I noted that the sample of one of the styles we picked had been removed from the sample display, I went and found this woman and asked if there was a sample of it available or if had been removed from stock....She said someone probably stole it and walked away..... I went back to the samples and started looking through them....another sales associate walked up and asked if he could help, I told him of my problem and he starting looking for another sample.....Long story short I went with the other sample and was working with the gentleman to place the order.....Here comes this woman again.... I wanted them to measure the room.....The guy was trying to see the contractors schedule and told him I would be in town Tues and all day Weds....She snarls at him...We don't measure on Weds...I asked the gentleman if the could possibly come today.....again she snarls NO.....I said Thurs would be ok if the could come in the morning....Again, she snarls...You don't tell them what time....they tell you.... I thanked the gentleman and walked out of the store... Went to Home Works in OC and placed the order that day, measured the next and it ended up being much less expensive..... read more
